Chapter 1992: Chapter 1993: Tea Party Mission

The moment Angel withdrew from the Luxury Nightmare Realm, his face twisted again, and his golden hair transformed back into red hair. Even his aura shifted from elegant and composed to casual and indifferent.

Kudodo looked at this scene before him, opened his mouth, wanting to say something.

But Angel was quicker, extending a finger to his lips, making a ”shush” gesture.

Kudodo wasn’t foolish; he understood Angel’s wish to keep his identity concealed. Reflecting on recent alley rumors, indeed there was no whisper of Angel’s return to the Barbarian Cave, surely orchestrated by Angel.

”Let’s go, you lead the way. I’m going to meet Babaya.” Angel pushed open the door and strode out.

Though Kudodo didn’t know what Angel intended with Babaya, it definitely wasn’t something bad, perhaps a chance for Babaya.

With this thought, Kudodo didn’t wait for any trial officer, and unhesitatingly followed.

Angel’s pace was swift, descending from the second floor straight to the bar’s front hall in strides. Though Kudodo was small, his racial talent granted him extraordinary speed, making it easy to keep up with Angel, otherwise he wouldn’t have applied to be a scout for the Tiger Adventure Group.

The bartender watched Angel and Kudodo leave without showing anything amiss, merely murmuring softly once their figures disappeared, ”Why would a powerful official wizard contact Kudodo?”

Angel had already exited Swan Lake at Night; the moment he stepped out, the door behind him slowly faded away, merging with the moss-covered, mottled wall. The lively din inside the bar was completely cut off.

”Do you know where she is now?” Angel lowered his head to look at Kudodo by his feet.

Kudodo looked up confidently and said, ”Yes, Babaya is near the Spirit Tree Courtyard.”

Angel didn’t ask for the specific location, since Kudodo knew, he let him lead the way.

Kudodo led the way, and Angel followed while releasing spiritual filaments, extending deep into the dark alley.

Angel’s intention was to take advantage of this rare visit to the underground market to use his spiritual power to check out the Promy Alchemy Shop. However, there was nothing happening at the alchemy shop, as its door was closed tight; though on the way as his spiritual power extended towards the shop, he caught some interesting information.

This information was being exchanged by some people in the dark alley, which Angel happened to capture in the world of spiritual power.

The content of the information was quite chaotic. There was some gossip, some secrets; Angel even heard information related to himself. However, what surprised Angel the most was hearing some prophecies from the Starry Day.

To know, Starry Day had just ended and the conference was still ongoing, yet the alley had already started spreading it.

Moreover, the content being spread was mostly true!

If not leaked from the top, then the alleys surely have their own information channels. Angel wasn’t prepared to delve deep into how it spread at the moment; what concerned him was, almost all information related to the Starry Day had Dororo as the protagonist.

Anything connected to Dororo almost always involved scheming, cooperation, and conspiracy. Clearly, many people had their eyes on Dororo’s prophecy ability.

”Indeed, Lord Tree Spirit’s expectations are beginning to manifest.” Though currently the alley only had apprentices scheming against Dororo, undoubtedly Dororo would eventually be targeted by official wizards.

It seems necessary to let Dororo return to the Barbarian Cave as soon as possible... In the Barbarian Cave, even if schemed against by these apprentices, there’d eventually be solutions. Encountering the machinations of an official wizard outside would be difficult.

...

After leaving the underground market, Kudodo traversed Apprentice Town and headed towards the center of the Mirror World.

”Feels like there are fewer people in Apprentice Town.” Angel said while observing the surroundings.

Kudodo: ”It’s not just Apprentice Town, actually the underground market has fewer people lately too. Didn’t you notice many shops temporarily closing?”

The underground market also had fewer people? Angel hadn’t noticed because even with fewer, the market still seemed bustling. Kudodo’s remark about many shops temporarily closing reminded Angel of his previous observation of Promy’s Alchemy Shop.

Generally, Promy Alchemy Shop only temporarily closes when restocking. Earlier, Angel thought the staff went for restocking; now listening to Kudodo, there seemed to be more to it?

Kudodo: ”Because the Tea Party is about to be held at the Barbarian Cave.”

”Lianna has released numerous tasks related to the Tea Party in the Task Hall, including venue setup, celebration affairs, elemental fireworks personnel training, demonic material hunting, tea snack purchasing... etc., requiring a lot of manpower, so both Apprentice Town and the underground market have many participating in the event’s preliminary preparations.”

”Including Babaya, who’s also taken on setup tasks, arranging venues near the Spirit Tree Courtyard.”

Angel nodded understandingly, ”Even Babaya joined? Looks like there are many tasks and the rewards must be good. Then why venture outside for adventure when participating in setup can earn Magic Crystals?”

Kudodo showed a bitter smile: ”I’d want to, but the tasks released by Lianna have strength criteria; my strength is too low to qualify. As for setup tasks I want to take, I can’t compete with others.”

”And the reason Babaya could take setup tasks is she’s involved in arranging some building’s tea party interior setup. To avoid male pheromones lingering in the party hall, these tasks are assigned to women.”

Women, whether apprentices or wizards, are very few in the Barbarian Cave. Hence, Babaya easily obtained setup tasks while Kudodo could not.

Angel understood why the people in Apprentice Town were so few; it’s because they’re all gearing up for the Tea Party.

Indeed, the Tea Party is a highly valued event by Lord Rhein, and with Lianna now spearheading the event within the Barbarian Cave, it naturally garnered attention.

When Angel followed Kudodo to the Spirit Tree Courtyard, the vibrant aura of the upcoming event was palpable.

Though not yet at the Tea Party’s main venue, Angel already saw a bustling crowd, not just transcendents, even ordinary people were many times more active than usual.

Their goal was clear, the deputy zone of the Spirit Tree Courtyard, which is the shady side of the Eternal Tree with relatively less sunlight. Previously undeveloped, considered everyone’s backyard. Now, for the Tea Party’s grandeur, the backyard was cleared, with various buildings sprouting up.
