Warlock Apprentice

Chapter 1993: Chapter 1994: Encountering Babaya Again

These towering buildings are all imbued with Lianna’s characteristics.

Fragrant aromas, a rain of roses.

Filled with a dreamy sense of girlhood’s fantasy.

The types of buildings include spaces needed for the tea party, areas dedicated to trading, as well as an auction venue shaped like a teapot... and so on.

It is evident that Lianna has put thorough consideration into hosting this tea gathering.

Amidst the construction zone crowded with people, Kudodo led Angel to a corner of the auxiliary area. In front of a grand hall exuding a rich floral scent, Kudodo stopped.

”Last night I saw Babaya around here. She came out from this hall. I asked around; this should be an inner area for the tea party. However, since men are not allowed, I don’t know the specifics inside,” Kudodo said while craning his neck to look inside the hall, but couldn’t see anything due to the curtains in the inner chamber.

Given the gender restrictions, Angel couldn’t directly enter either, and had to first use spiritual power to explore the inside.

After a while, Angel slightly frowned.

The situation inside the hall was quite normal, with many female apprentices setting up the environment. However, Angel did not see any trace of Babaya.

When he tried to sense, he couldn’t perceive Babaya’s presence either.

”Sir, there’s a lady wearing a green straw hat over there, she seems to be preparing to enter the hall. Shall I ask her to convey a message to Babaya for us?”

”No need, Babaya isn’t inside.” After Angel said this, he planned to direct his spiritual power toward the Eternal Tree. Since Babaya wasn’t here, the only way to find her would likely be to use the power of the Tree Spirit.

Just as Angel was preparing to contact the Tree Spirit, a rustling sound suddenly came from above.

With the arrival of the sound, a shadow appeared over their heads. Kudodo looked up and saw a massive roundtable passing overhead.

This roundtable was inlaid, with an inner marble pattern and an outer layer of transparent colored glaze. It could accommodate more than ten people, indicating its considerable weight.

However, what surprised Kudodo was that he didn’t see anyone carrying the roundtable, as if it flew by itself.

”Huh, can this table fly by itself?” Kudodo dazedly asked, ”Could it be some kind of alchemy tool?”

Angel: ”Who told you the table is flying by itself? Look carefully at the table leg near the center of the roundtable.”

Kudodo followed Angel’s guidance, and upon seeing the scene, his eyes suddenly lit up.

”It’s Babaya!” Kudodo exclaimed excitedly.

The roundtable wasn’t flying on its own; it was being carried by someone. And that someone was Babaya. Babaya’s size was extremely small, compared to the massive roundtable, she was like a tiny ant. Moving swiftly through the sky, she was easily overlooked, making the table appear to fly by itself.

Kudodo’s excited shout caught the attention of some onlookers around them, and Babaya, up in the sky, also heard his call.

Babaya glanced down and saw Kudodo standing beside a red-haired man, looking up at the sky and waving vigorously at her.

Seeing this, Babaya quickly descended, landing on the ground shortly thereafter. As she touched ground, several female apprentices emerged from the hall, using magic power to lift the roundtable, signaling Babaya to join them inside.

Babaya: ”You go in first. My kinsman came to find me, so I’ll meet with them and return soon.”

After informing her companions, Babaya walked towards Kudodo.

”Why are you here?” Babaya, who hadn’t seen Kudodo in a long time, felt quite surprised: ”Did you also take on the tea party task?”

Seeing the goddess he admired walking towards him, Kudodo’s heart pounded. However, he couldn’t say much to Babaya at this moment and shook his head, ”I didn’t take the task, I am...”

Kudodo glanced secretly at Angel, not knowing how to introduce him. Stating his real name seemed inappropriate.

While Kudodo was wrestling with this dilemma, Angel cheerfully addressed Babaya, ”I came to find you.”

”And you are?” Babaya looked warily at Angel. Red hair and golden eyes, she had never seen this person in the Barbarian Cave before.

”You’ll soon know who I am. This isn’t the place to talk; let’s find somewhere to sit down and discuss.” Angel looked around, finally fixing his gaze on the Eternal Tree not far away: ”How about the Spirit Tree Hall?”

If it were any other place, Babaya might have hesitated. But the Spirit Tree Hall was the residence of the Tree Spirit, where all combat was forbidden — a place deemed absolutely safe by the apprentices of the Barbarian Cave.

Babaya glanced at Kudodo, who eagerly signaled with his eyes for her to comply with Angel’s request. After pondering for a moment, she nodded, ”Alright.”

...

Upon reaching the Spirit Tree Hall, Babaya assumed the red-haired man would choose to speak within the hall. However, he did not stop there; instead, he moved directly to a side door at the hall.

With a gentle point from the red-haired man, the tightly closed side door opened.

Babaya had visited the Spirit Tree Hall before but had never seen this door open... Who exactly was he?

With curiosity, Babaya followed their steps through the side door of the Spirit Tree Hall, along a branch, to an open leaf.

”Here will do,” the red-haired man halted.

Just as Babaya was about to speak, the surroundings suddenly transformed.

The green leaf underfoot suddenly turned into a cold marble floor, the azure sky was obscured, and a magnificent chandelier appeared overhead.

Everything around began to change rapidly.

Illusion and reality twisted in Babaya’s eyes.

In a short while, the empty leaf transformed into a luxurious hall full of traditional noble ambiance.

Meanwhile, the previously unfamiliar red-haired man also underwent a bizarre transformation in Babaya’s eyes. His hair color changed, his physique altered, even the aura he exuded showcased a distinct change.

When the lounging red-haired middle-aged man was replaced by a handsome youth with blond hair and blue eyes, Babaya was taken aback.

”P-Pat?!” Babaya couldn’t believe the name she uttered.

Angel nodded: ”It’s me. Are you surprised to see me?”

Babaya bashfully lowered her head, ”A little, I have some friends who greatly admire you, they always kept tracks of your whereabouts and thought you were still in Sky Mechanical City, didn’t expect you to have already returned.”

Angel sat on the sofa, gesturing for Babaya and Kudodo to take a seat as well.

”I actually came back quite a while ago, but due to certain special reasons, I hadn’t intended to announce it,” Angel winked, ”So, you’d best not spread the word about my return.”

Babaya and Kudodo nodded without hesitation.

Seeing Babaya’s guard lowered, Angel then said, ”I came over this time because there are certain matters I need to tell you.”
