Warlock Apprentice

Chapter 1972: Chapter 1973: Prophecies Worth Watching

Because of Maya’s words, the waves that had slightly calmed are now stirring again. Everyone’s attention is refocused on the Doomsday Scenery.

For a moment, people were panicked, and the hall was filled with the sounds of chaotic conversations.

Eventually, it was Lapuye who waved his wand and cast the Star Secret Technique, gradually calming the noises. However, even with forced calm, the worry was not dispelled. A Prophet Wizard, known for being timid, couldn’t help but stand up and respectfully inquire to Lapuye: ”Your Excellency the Crowned Star One, what is your opinion on the additional information provided by Witch Maya today?”

If it were any other Observer, they wouldn’t have bothered with such questions, but Lapuye seriously pondered for a moment before replying: ”The truth about this matter is being exposed more and more, but compared to yesterday, it seems more peculiar. If the Doomsday Scenery is truly occurring in the Southern Domain, why are all present in such a dangerous place mere apprentices? Where have the Official Wizards gone? Seeing apprentices in a world of divine warfare gives me a great sense of discord.”

Lapuye spoke slowly, as if thinking while speaking: ”I still believe that this might not be happening in the Southern Domain. This is just my intuition. However, I do agree with your speculation that it might indeed be related to the Sky Mechanical City, after all, these apprentices are all supernovas from the New Star Tournament.”

”In the imagery shown by Witch Maya, it is clear that their strength is still in the apprentice stage, with little advancement. So, the time of the Doomsday Scenery should not be far from now. And in a short term, barring any accidents, these apprentices should currently be training in the Endless Corridor.”

Even though Lapuye says it’s intuition, an Observer’s intuition is very accurate. Therefore, when Lapuye says this, it is more reassuring to the people than the Star Secret Technique.

”We’ll just have to see what sort of response the Sky Mechanical City will give tomorrow.”

Lapuye’s words set the tone for this prophecy, leading everyone to nod and cease further discussion.

The exchange continued, but mostly it was the Observers speaking, except for Prophet Wizards like Luci, ordinary Prophet Wizards rarely stood up anymore.

Among these prophecies, some were good, some bad, some had a big impact, others little, but from everyone’s perspective, none matched the prophecies of the Peach Heart Theater and the Doomsday Scenery.

Therefore, everyone began to hold Dororo, this rising star in the prophecy realm, in even higher regard.

However, this does not imply Observers are inferior to Dororo; more likely, the Observers might have hidden some crucial prophecies. These prophecies, they wouldn’t disclose at exchange events but would subtly convey to those who need to know through other means.

Of course, it is certainly not disclosed without compensation.

This is not an uncommon thing, every Prophet Wizard understands it clearly, although it’s not brought to the public’s attention.

In the prophecies revealed by Observers, many actually have no significant interest with the Barbarian Cave and need not be overly concerned. Only two prophecies are worth Witch Maya’s attention.

The first concerns the future movements of the Abyss. The one who shared this prophecy is Dexter, the ”Unrestrained Dreamer”, who only said one sentence: ”A new safe zone is about to emerge in the Abyss.”

This prophecy is particularly monitored by major Witcher Organizations. After all, currently, the only ones who can extend a hand to the Abyss and establish a safe marketplace are several major alliances led by the Frost Moon Alliance.

The resources of the Abyss are extremely rich, so capturing a safe zone can be incredibly beneficial to a Witcher Organization.

Witch Maya represents the will of the Barbarian Cave, and she fully understands that Rhein regrets not securing a position in the Abyss. Therefore, this prophecy also offers some hope to the Barbarian Cave.

The second prophecy of interest to Maya concerns the Gumman Kingdom in the western extremity of the Flourish Continent. A major upheaval will occur in the Gumman Kingdom shortly.

The Observer who shared this prophecy is Hydra, who did not specify what the upheaval entails, but vaguely indicated: ”Those suppressed by force will eventually be countered by their own actions.”

This prophecy could possibly foreshadow the future direction of the Gumman Kingdom.

Maya is particularly concerned about this prophecy simply because of her other student - White Bear. White Bear is from the Gumman Kingdom and is considered a victim of King Gumman’s oppression. So, regarding this prophecy, she pays extra attention.

Aside from these two prophecies, the others were mostly glossed over, leaving little impression in Maya’s mind.

As time changes, the exchange went on from morning till the first evening’s glow.

When today’s exchange was about to conclude, Lapuye, who hadn’t shared any prophecy yet, finally spoke. Under everyone’s expectations, Lapuye indeed did not disappoint.

At least, Maya was not disappointed.

The first prophecy Lapuye mentioned was about the changes in the Eternal Night Country.

The major change in the Eternal Night Country is actually a concern for the entire Wizards’ Realm. However, as it hasn’t yet affected them directly, although they understand the change in the Eternal Night Country is very terrifying, the attention it receives is still insufficient.

Until the incident at the Peach Heart Theater drew everyone’s attention to the Eternal Night Country.

Everyone hoped to secure a spot at the Peach Heart Theater, at that time in their opinion, the danger at the Peach Heart Theater was not significant. Instead, the terrifying creatures of the Eternal Night Country became their point of concern.

Therefore, Lapuye’s prophecy drew much attention.

Lapuye spoke plainly, without embellishment, and directly stated.

”I once said, the changes in the Eternal Night Country might be more terrifying than the shadow of the Demon God. I still feel the same way now.” Lapuye’s expression was solemn: ”In the future scenes I saw, after a period of hibernation, those dangerous beings’ powers became stable and increased significantly. Soon in the future, they will rapidly expand to the surrounding areas.”

”Both the Fertile Country and the Gumman Kingdom will suffer. In the future scenes I saw, there was no presentation of what the future holds for the Gumman Kingdom. Perhaps the upheaval Hydra spoke of could indeed be a result of this. But I saw the future of the Fertile Country...”

Lapuye looked at a young man in a yellow robe: ”West Dimosha, prepare for relocation.”

The young man in the yellow robe was West Dimosha from the Fertile Country. He abruptly raised his head: ”Your Excellency the Crowned Star One, do you mean...”

Although he did not finish his words, Lapuye understood his meaning and nodded: ”West Dimosha, prepare in advance for their expansion path.”

As the words fell, everyone looked at the young man in yellow with sympathy. However, they themselves were also in fear, for including West Dimosha, the upheavals in the Eternal Night Country have already forced at least three medium-sized Witcher Organizations to relocate.

This means that those terrifying creatures are expanding their territory, like Tibial Maggot, eroding the lands of the Southern Domain. Furthermore, they seem powerless to stop it!
