Chapter 1984: Chapter 1985: Auras in Harmony

Angel and Sanders left the Star Pond Ruins.

On the way back, Sanders noticed Angel’s furrowed brow: ”Still pondering about the relics?”

Angel nodded: ”I still feel something is off. Why did the image of a door suddenly pop into my mind earlier?”

”It might just be an impulse,” Sanders suggested.

Angel remained silent for a long time. It wasn’t until they were nearing the relic where Angel resided that he spoke: ”I don’t think it’s purely an impulse. When I recall that moment, there was a sense of spiritual connection between my intuition and some consciousness. In that instant, the thought was clear, as if I’d perceived some crucial information.”

After hearing Angel’s description, Sanders’ eyes deepened slightly, as if he’d thought of something, and he murmured softly: ”...a spiritual connection with some consciousness?”

Angel nodded: ”That’s the feeling. It sounds like I was enveloped by some consciousness, but at that moment, I didn’t feel that way; instead, it felt very natural.”

Sanders pondered for a moment, refraining from commenting, and asked instead: ”So, what do you think? Do you believe there’s really a map behind the door under the Star Pond?”

Angel: ”At least at that moment, I was convinced of it.”

Sanders: ”If there is truly a map, then at some level, in your subconscious thoughts, there is a connection between the relic where you stay and the one under Lord Rhein’s watch.”

Angel nodded, indeed; if maps appeared behind the doors of both relics, it wouldn’t be easy to say there was no relation.

After contemplating for a while, Sanders said seriously: ”Perhaps your perception is indeed correct.”

”You mentioned that you feel there was a connection between your spiritual sense and some consciousness at that moment. Initially, it struck me as odd, but thinking seriously about what you said, it actually makes sense.” Sanders looked at Angel: ”Have you considered why you’re the only one who has such a feeling?”

Angel hesitated a bit: ”Because of the Nightmare Soul Body?”

Sanders smiled and shook his head: ”You merely felt a connection with the relic, not with those Nightmare Realm creatures. Besides, there are no Nightmare Realm creatures in the relic where you live. These two things should be unrelated.”

Sanders didn’t keep him in suspense and directly said: ”None of us experience similar feelings, but you do. Perhaps the real reason is that you’re the only one who resides in this relic.”

As he finished speaking, they arrived at the entrance of the relic where Angel currently resided.

Sanders pointed at the relic: ”Because you live in this relic, your aura has elegantly merged with it. And if there’s indeed a myriad of connections between this relic and the one under Rhein’s care, then when you reached the Star Pond Ruins, you felt your spiritual sense resonate with some consciousness. This may simply be your aura harmonizing with the aura of the Star Pond Ruins.”

Therefore, only Angel experienced the sensation. This feeling wasn’t born out of nothing; it was because Angel’s aura elegantly matched the relic’s essence.

Sanders: ”Of course, it’s just a hypothesis. Its validity still needs to be proven by looking behind the door of the Star Pond Ruins.”

Only by confirming that behind the door of the Star Pond Ruins there are similar magic patterns and similar holographic maps can there be evidence to verify Sanders’ hypothesis.

As Sanders and Angel were talking, a slightly frivolous voice arose beside them: ”What are you guys discussing?”

Turning around, they saw a glowing human-shaped light spirit slowly leaning forward from the tree trunk in front of the relic’s door.

Undoubtedly, it was Tree Spirit.

After Tree Spirit disentangled from the tree trunk, he cheerfully approached: ”I think I heard you talking about the Star Pond Ruins, is there new information?”

Angel shook his head: ”There’s no clue, but my mentor proposed a hypothesis just now.”

”Oh? What hypothesis? Let’s hear it,” Tree Spirit’s eyes lit up; he seemed passionate about any decrypting games.

Angel glanced at Sanders, and seeing no hindrance from him, Angel retold their earlier conversation.

Initially, Tree Spirit listened for amusement, but by the end, his expression slightly changed, frowning and considering: ”I have a feeling that perhaps Sanders is indeed right.”

”Rhein has stayed at the Star Pond for a long time without any sensations. Yet the first time you went, you had a scene like a wizard’s premonition; I found it somewhat puzzling when discussing with Rhein. But hearing Sanders now, it indeed makes sense.”

Tree Spirit’s eyes sparkled: ”Though it still needs to be verified behind the door of the Star Pond Ruins, I already feel now there may really be some connection between the two relics.”

After these words, Tree Spirit’s gaze suddenly dimmed: ”But even if there is a connection, it doesn’t seem to provide any effective clues. At best, confirming a holographic map exists behind the door under the Star Pond.”

Angel: ”Indeed, unless we find the hidden room within this relic.”

If the two relics are truly connected, determining their connection and finding unknown clues, the only current hope is that hidden room.

The issue of the hidden room came back before them, circling around.

Yet... they were still at a loss.

There were no leads on how to open the hidden room at the moment.

Seeing both Angel and Tree Spirit showing helpless expressions, Sanders couldn’t help but smile and shake his head: ”There’s no need to think too much now. Only when it’s truly confirmed later can we ponder other issues. If there’s indeed a map in the Star Pond Ruins, it might contain some secrets, so overthinking now is not worthwhile.”

Tree Spirit pondered and agreed with this reasoning. There’s no need to worry prematurely over events that haven’t occurred yet.

Despite saying so, Tree Spirit added: ”Anyway, I’ll first go and inform Rhein about the situation. Originally, Rhein wasn’t paying too much attention, but upon hearing this today, he’ll probably go and investigate that passage within the next day or two.”

After speaking, Tree Spirit returned to the tree trunk, connecting his thoughts with the avatar within the Star Pond Ruins.

Sanders patted Angel’s shoulder: ”I’ll be heading back to the Puppet Hospital. If anything comes up, contact me.”

What Sanders mentioned about contacting again obviously referred to the Wilderness of Dreams. Because concerning the small-scale opening of the Wilderness of Dreams, they would soon detail the subsequent plan.

However, Angel shook his head: ”I’m not going back to the relic yet; I want to visit the Mirror World first.”
