[Request for Subscription]_1 At this time, Jia Yan was on the rooftop of his own house.

In some national statistics, the official name of the so-called ‘Metal Monster’ was formally defined by humanity!

Including the name of this Big Mosquito, Jia Yan, these suddenly appearing monsters were collectively referred to as ‘Abnormal Creatures’!

This battle was a grand war of humans against abnormal creatures!

On one side were the Earth’s Spirits, humans, who had ruled the Earth for thousands of years!

On the other were countless monsters that appeared from nowhere!

A grand battle, a war known as the Third World War, was about to begin!

However, the unfolding of this event was a relatively normal thing, as the threat of the current Metal Monsters to the people of Earth was increasing.

If these monsters were not dealt with soon, it was unimaginable what the world would become.

Therefore, all countries on Earth not only put away their contempt for so-called Metal Monsters during this period, but also made big moves and measures in military development and attack!

A series of events were in preparation for a decisive battle with the countless Metal Monsters!

Compared to Metal Monsters, the other two types of monsters discovered by humans were not as attention-grabbing.

They were the Giant Mosquito-like monsters that appeared a few times, and the Giant Spider monster that only appeared once in Huaxia.

Compared to the large quantity of Metal Monsters, these two types of monsters were much rarer.

Although the Giant Mosquito Monster had appeared in the world many times, and had been captured by cameras several times, they were not extremely brutal, and even had records of killing Metal Monsters, so perhaps these monsters would not have too much friction with humans in the future.

And the three observed two-meter tall Spider Monsters, this type of monster had a record of a brief confrontation with human armies the first time they appeared.

After such a long time of absence, we can hope that they will not join the war in the future!

In that case, the only combatants will be humans and the large number of Metal Monsters, as for the Giant Mosquito Monster and the Giant Spider Monster with stronger individual combat power, their joining the war is not confirmed.

However, even with the current situation, the human side was still struggling.

When all the battle reports were presented to various military departments, they realized that in the battle against Metal Monsters, humans actually had no advantages to speak of!

The number of Metal Monsters that have appeared on Earth now has exceeded over 1.2 million!

Among them, the country with the largest number but small territorial range, was the Wa Kingdom, the first country to report the case of the Metal Monster!

This country was currently the most miserable.

Over the span of a week, the Japanese island had completely turned into scorched earth.

With civilian casualties of up to a million, and the Guard reduced by more than hundred thousand, the combat power of this country was almost half gone!

Next were Huaxia and a few other countries with large territories.

In these countries, with Huaxia having the most, part of the cities had already been completely occupied by Metal Monsters.

These monsters did not seem to know what to do in the occupied cities.

Once a warplane approached, a dense attack of red light ensued and no regular warplane could get close!

The strength of the Metal Monsters lay in their defense and attack.

Their biggest weakness was that they had a certain usage time limit.

Once they reached their energy usage limit, they would completely stop moving, becoming vulnerable.

However, this weakness was almost negligible!

Earth’s scientists had conducted experiments and concluded that in order to deplete all the energy of these Metal Monsters, they needed to consume energy equivalent to destroying a large building.

The consumption was completely controllable by the Metal Monsters themselves.

They possessed some intelligence and the traps and mechanisms set by humans were completely useless to them, who could collect information from various aspects!

So, what strategy should be used against these monsters?

Although at some meetings, some radicals kept proposing the use of nuclear weapons as a last resort, this proposal was always rejected!

For current humans, the cost of nuclear strikes was too high.

At this time, humans could not make the right judgement.

If they tried to launch nuclear weapons at these Metal Monsters, the world would definitely plunge into a greater crisis!

But if they didn’t use nuclear weapons against Metal Monsters, conventional means wouldn’t be enough.

Their defense was extremely strong, and regular weapons posed no threat to them.

The weapons of this era were simply too primitive, and Earth had not seen large-scale war in a long time.

At this point, armies and weapons were in a state of severe scarcity.

Thus, the priority task for all countries was to recruit soldiers and extensively develop and manufacture weapons.

As for the issue of using nuclear weapons, it was put off for the time being!

After all, it was not a crucial time to use nuclear weapons.

If these weapons were to be used, it would be like opening Pandora’s box.

Even if all the metal monsters could be killed, the whole world would subsequently drown in an even more terrifying nuclear threat!

What humans didn’t realize was that as they became more cautious, the metal monsters were also behaving strangely.

There was something almost devoid of intelligence about them, causing destruction to human facilities and homes whilst some began to create structures on the ground!

The facilities they constructed didn’t seem like something an unintelligent species could build—they resembled finely engineered houses, even more beautiful in fact than those built by humans.

Once these house-like structures were erected, it was unclear what their function was, but it did leave the humans who saw it all completely terrified!

Now, these metal monsters appeared to be more than just simple monsters; many scientists had speculated about their true origin, but they truly hoped that the worst-case scenario would not become reality!

Their true origin could possibly conceal other secrets, a species like this could not exist independently.

If they are machines, there must be something or someone who made them!

But can Earth handle the existence of the creature that created these metal creatures?

Humans, after knowing this, all held an extremely heavy heart.

During this particularly difficult time for humans, a giant mosquito monster unknowingly welcomed its dawn.

The rising sun at dawn illuminated the mosquito’s gigantic figure, which consisted of six legs, each of which was very rugged.

Its underside was fitted with a pair of giant wings full of veins.

This pair of wings was controlled by extremely powerful muscles, allowing the mosquito to achieve the fastest flight speed!

“Many residents of Tan City are prepared to leave today, and I don’t know what my family has decided.

If they want to leave too, then naturally I’d follow!”

Jia Yan was prepared to leave his hometown, especially since his family had packed their belongings the previous night, indicating a high possibility of departure today.

The cars inside the city formed a long queue, and there were constantly families with children swearing loudly!

Some chose to flee on foot.

The city’s trains had completely stopped some time ago, so to leave the city, people had to choose the streets.

But being in a car was not the best method anymore.

Now, the roads were severely damaged and traffic jams were common, slower than walking or cycling.

Of course, people who chose to drive or cycle had their own considerations.

Neither choice was good or bad, they were simply a matter of personal choice.

The Jia family was indeed contemplating leaving.

Their luggage wasn’t a lot, each with a large bag, and Jia Lin also dragged a large suitcase.

Perhaps due to the increasing chaos in the city, Jia Yan the large mosquito, had stayed on the balcony of Jia’s house for such a long time and nobody had noticed.

But since his home was on the outskirts, not many people would pay attention to their house at this time!

Father Jia’s legs were still inconvenient.

He was only carrying a small bag.

The three family members, each with their own luggage, walked to the entrance of the building and then looked back at it.

Just as Jia Yan had watched his house for a long time when he had left it, the Jia family, now on the verge of leaving their home, likewise gazed at the building that had housed them for many years!

This house witnessed the early years of the married couple’s life, then the birth of their son Jia Yan, the birth of their daughter Jia Lin, the growth and play times of their two children, their school years, their studying years, and finally, the demise of Jia Yan…

Indeed, the house had imbibed their happiness, ordeals, and the passage of time.

They had spent a large part of their lives here.

After a while, the family finally came back to their senses.

Father Jia shook his head and gently closed the big iron gate of the house.

Creak, clang!!

A large lock secured the gate.

They didn’t know if they would ever come back, but they would keep the house keys carefully, even if these keys might never be used again.

They simply wanted to remember the fact that they once had a house, waiting quietly here for the master’s return.

“Let’s go.” Father Jia seemed much older, although he was only in his forties, at that moment, he looked like a fragile man in his fifties or sixties.

Jia Yan was on the rooftop.

He did not dare to peek out, but from the conversation between his parents and little sister, he felt similar emotions rising within him.

This home was also Jia Yan’s home.

Naturally, he, just like his family, had the same emotions for this place they were about to leave!
