[Subscribe Needed]_1 182: Chapter 17 This is the War between Monsters and Humans!

[Subscribe Needed]_1 Last time he had wanted to know: what exactly was the internal structure of this monster that both looked like a metal, yet also appeared biological in nature.

What Jia Yan did not know was that as he easily dispatched the metal monster, something strange was happening.

Within ten kilometers around him, hundreds of rampaging metal monsters, as if receiving some sort of command, abandoned what they were doing.

One by one, they quickly headed towards the location of Jia Yan and the metal monster that had attacked him.

Jia Yan, standing on the ground, had no clue that this motionless metal monster had managed to send messages to the other metal monsters.

He was simply swiftly dismembering the metal monster.

Ravaged by the sharp forelegs of Jia Yan, the metal monster didn’t seem to put up any resistance and was dissected into several pieces.

If a human scientist studying these beasts witnessed the speed and proficiency Jia Yan had in dismantling these metal monsters, they would be astonished!

The body of this beast was incredibly hard, yet Jia Yan simply ignored it.

It was as if he was cutting through ordinary plastic with a knife, effortlessly slicing open the creature’s body.

On the other hand, human scientists needed equipment to dissect this metallic monster, ordinary tools couldn’t even scratch the beast’s hard body, they needed to use an advanced cutting material to conduct dissection research on metal monsters!

Yet Jia Yan accomplished this feat with a mere flick of his forelegs.

If any human scientist were present, they would undoubtedly be both enviously awestruck and incredibly fearful of the terror wrought by the forelegs of the giant mosquito monster.

And indeed plain sharpness couldn’t explain the forelegs.

The power within those must be considerable, considering how easily they accomplished all this!

Jia Yan was clearly very satisfied with the sharpness of his keratinous blade.

Click-Clack-Click-Clack!

Cooperating forelegs cut down and disintegrate the metal beast in front of him into mere scrap in no time.

After carefully dissecting this dog-sized metal monster, the confusion in Jia Yan’s mind only increased!

Is this machinery or life?!

He had this question after seeing such a metal monster.

Jia Yan originally thought that as long as he dissected a metal monster, he would get the answer, but after actually dissecting one, he became more perplexed!

This monster’s body was clearly made of metal, but there was something in its torso that closely resembled a heart.

This object was throbbing faintly, just like a real heart.

So, here’s the question, was it machine or was it life?!

“Alas!

I am a biology enthusiast, but I am not a real biology researcher.

This question is too complex for me!” Jia Yan shook his head lightly, abandoning his desire to explore the truth!

“The other parts of this monster seems relatively harder but not very surprising.

Is its true secret within this “heart”?”

Jia Yan out of curiosity began to fiddle with the beast’s heart with his forelegs.

It continued to faintly beat, giving a strong impression of a heart.

“Cut it open!” Not long after, Jia Yan started dissecting again!

Having come this far, there was no going back now.

The extraordinarily sharp keratinous blade, pierced into the beating red heart!

Puchi!

The faint sound was somewhat unexpected to Jia Yan.

This heart-like thing was directly exposed to the air, it should not have been so delicate, how then could it defend against attacks from the outside world?

Jia Yan found it strange, but it didn’t slow down his operation.

Puchi-Puchi!

The sound of rupturing kept coming from inside the heart, and Jia Yan discovered that this heart, simply lying in his forelegs, had become crisp and very easy to cut open in no time!

“It looks like it only becomes brittle after dying.” Jia Yan’s compound eyes shimmered.

The entire heart was soon cut open entirely!

Objects resembling parts scattered all over the ground.

They seemed to be the components that originally resided within the heart, but due to some reasons, they autonomously fell apart!

But a pebble glowing with a faint green light amongst them attracted Jia Yan’s attention!

“This is…”

He picked up the pebble, which was barely the size of an adult’s finger, using his keratinous blade.

“Eh!

This stone actually attracts me!” As soon as Jia Yan picked up the stone, he immediately felt that this faintly glowing green pebble indeed had an alluring effect on him!

Consider, the current Jia Yan was unlike the lil mosquito he used to be who was allured by anything and everything!

Still, this green stone managed to attract him, arousing his interest!

“Haha, I hadn’t even decided which path of strength to pursue in the future, yet my answer presents itself!”

Jia Yan’s compound eyes twinkled slightly as he carefully held this tiny stone in his forelegs.

It seemed that this thing was the core structure of the metal monster!

Although it had a relatively green-grey color, on close inspection, it seemed that one could see trace amounts of a blue glow seeping through the grey-green.

Could it be that this thing has a certain relationship with the Deep Blue Crystal?

A thought crossed Jia Yan’s mind, his mood becoming more solemn.

He could faintly sense that everything seemed to be connected.

It seemed as if his evolutionary changes along the way were somehow related to these mysterious things!

“But should I be worried about all this?

Not at all!

It’s because of these things that I am who I am now!

If it weren’t for them, how could I, an ordinary mosquito, have evolved to where I am now?”

Hazy luminous glimmers flickered in Jia Yan’s compound eyes, his heart gaining determination.

Since this green-grey pebble seemed to have some use to him, he would have to collect more of these things in the future.

Although his instincts didn’t respond strongly to the pebble, by now Jia Yan had already grown so powerful that even if he held the Purple-red liquid medicine, or the Black liquid, his instincts wouldn’t respond much, if at all.

Yet, this green-grey pebble was still beneficial to him, clearly indicative of his next chance to mutate!

Upon considering this, the glimmer in Jia Yan’s compound eyes grew even brighter!

Just as Jia Yan finished these thoughts, about to place the small green-grey stone into his carried notebook bag…

Whoosh, whoosh!!

Two beams of red light, incredibly eye-catching in the night!

They ripped through the night sky, directly streaking towards Jia Yan’s location!

“Here they come again!” A brief shock went through Jia Yan’s heart, followed by a hardened resolve to deal with the two suddenly appeared Metal Monsters once and for all!

However, just as he was readying himself for this…

Whoosh, whoosh!!——

It was another pair of light beams, piercing through the vast distance and aiming directly at Jia Yan’s location!

Without a doubt, it was the appearance of two more Metal Monsters!

Jia Yan’s movements began to slightly falter.

He was considering, the consecutive appearances of these monsters could potentially signal some linkage.

After all, this was not a high-tech occurrence.

If Jia Yan were to fight against them, he might get embroiled in a drawn-out battle!

While he is not afraid, under the current circumstances where he doesn’t even fully grasp the situation, it seemed unwise to engage in a full-scale battle with the Metal Monsters!

Thus, after a faint flicker in the Big Mosquito’s compound eyes, its wings immediately started a high-speed flapping!

Hum!!——

The vibration of his wings instantly reached a tremendous speed!

Pu-chi!

His body almost instantly reacted as a few streams of red light appeared, and the moment the red rays were about to hit him, he spread his form and shot into the sky!

Boom, boom, boom, boom!!——

Four beams of light, regardless of sequence, all smashed into the ground where Jia Yan was previously standing.

A heatwave surged from the ground, rising into the sky, almost singeing Big Mosquito’s feet!

However, they missed just slightly—enough to cause an entirely different outcome; these crimson beams didn’t hurt Big Mosquito at all!

“I knew it!

There’s a large army of Metal Monsters following them!”

As he was flying in the sky, Big Mosquito looked behind those Metal Monsters.

A sudden light flashed in his compound eyes, causing him to discard the thought of attacking!

There were so many Metal Monsters, not to mention whether he could handle their attacks right now.

Even if he were to kill these Metal Monsters, it would be an enormous drain on his energy.

He didn’t want to make such strenuous efforts with no gains if it wasn’t necessary!

Even if the green-grey pebbles in the Metal Monsters’ bodies could aid his next phase of mutation, he had just completed a mutation, with the subsequent stages still to be completed.

Therefore, his current demand for mutation wasn’t very intense!

“There are so many Metal Monsters, and they aren’t going to run away, right?

Since that’s the case, I’d better leave first and figure out what’s happening!”

While in the sky, Jia Yan started to wildly flap his wings!

Hum hum hum!!——

Whistle whistle whistle!!——

The furious gale whipped past his ears, Jia Yan’s speed quickly exceeded 300 kilometres per hour!

One second later, his speed had accelerated to 700 kilometres per hour!

Two seconds later, the instantaneous acceleration process still hadn’t ended!

Whistle whistle whistle!!——

Broke through the speed of 1000!

In three seconds, he had gone from zero to breaking through 1000.

Apart from rockets, no human-carrying machine could achieve such speed!

It wasn’t that they couldn’t do it, but very few people could withstand such an overload of acceleration force!

Yet, Big Mosquito accomplished it with ease!

A few more beams of fiery red light launched behind Jia Yan, flying past, but missing him by who knows how much!

The Metal Monsters behind him continued to chase after him unwillingly, but how could their speed possibly be comparable to Big Mosquito flying in the sky!

It wasn’t long before the Metal Monsters behind him were left far behind and out of sight!

Whoosh whoosh whoosh!!——

Big Mosquito gradually increased his flying height.

Gazing down at the scene below, his eyes gradually took on a more solemn expression!

The world on the ground seemed entirely burnt in his eyes at the time.

Ruins were scattered about haphazardly, with columns of heavy smoke seen in some places.

“This…Was all this caused by those Metal Monsters?”

Disbelief was apparent in Jia Yan’s compound eyes.

“Could this be…a war?!

A war between the Metal Monsters and humans?!”

Damn, it’s so troublesome to type in both Chinese and English.

I’ve been studying for three days, but I’m still typing so slow.
