Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

171: Chapter 7: Mutation Again!

[Seeking Subscribers]_1 171: Chapter 7: Mutation Again!

[Seeking Subscribers]_1 Jia Yan’s compound eyes glowed faintly, staring at the gigantic fireball below.

The F-15J was immediately engulfed within the fire, and the expansion of the massive shockwave forced Jia Yan, who was a hundred meters away, to retreat slightly!

Then the airborne fighter plane fragmented into several pieces and started falling towards the ground.

Swish, swish, swish!!

The ocean below was splashed by these debris, rising waves almost the height of a person!

During this time, Jia Yan saw a projectile mechanism activated, ejecting the pilot amidst the explosion.

Then a parachute opened.

However, the original height of the aircraft above the sea was low, the parachute couldn’t slow down the speed significantly, and the person crashed onto the sea surface!

If a person falls freely, jumping into the water from a location thirty meters high coz of the inertia force, they would feel as if the water’s hardness is similar to cement!

And the place from where that pilot jumped was far higher than thirty meters!

So, even if this person survived, he would be seriously injured.

Jia Yan just didn’t care about this guy, his compound eyes were faint, staring at the debris from the aircraft, and his eyes shone brighter!

“Thrilling!

The last time, I barely managed to damage the Wa Kingdom’s aircraft and didn’t stand a chance to fight back.

Now I can fight against two Wa Kingdom’s warplanes head on, and make them crash!

My air combat abilities have certainly improved significantly!”

Jia Yan was elated and let out an exclamation of joy in his heart!

At the same time, the command center of Komatsu Air Base in the Wa Kingdom was silent.

The recent air combat could basically be seen on the radar here.

That Big Mosquito had shot down two Komatsu Air Base pilots in succession!

You should know that these two are not only highly skilled pilots of Komatsu Air Base, but Komachi Eizan also has several combat experiences.

Yet such a person cannot handle the Giant Mosquito Monster!

This…

Suzu Shouji, the person in charge of Komatsu Air Base and its top executives, had his jaw muscles trembling rapidly after experiencing this nightmare!

“Quickly!

Dispatch rescue planes, moreover, urgently summon twenty pilots, fully equip with weapons and go after that Big Mosquito for me.”

He finally issued the order after the battle was over!

The entire air base was immediately busy!

Twenty fighter jets taking off is no small matter, this information needs to be reported to multiple channels, even the military base of the Stars and Stripes Country in the Wa Kingdom needs to be notified, or else they might think that this fleet of fighter jets is going to bomb them.

There are also responsibilities for damaged warplanes, reporting to superior authorities, all these made Suzu Shouji, the top executive of Komatsu Base, feel quite stressed!

“This Big Mosquito is so hard to deal with.

If I had known, I would not have dispatched warplanes to stop it!

Really…” This man felt extremely frustrated.

He had thought that he could gain merit for annihilating the Big Mosquito and make the land self-defense army look bad.

However, he ended up losing more than he bargained for.

It was like he was covered in filth!

It seems that his position as a top executive can’t last much longer!

Just as he thought of this, the liaison officer came over with a worried look on his face and said: “The Metropolitan Police Department just called to question us.

They asked why we did not inform them beforehand.

Because they didn’t evacuate the crowd in time, the casualties in the town where the plane crashed were severe!

They said they would definitely take us to court in Parliament!”

Hearing this, Suzu Shouji’s jaw muscles trembled more violently!

He was overwhelmed.

Without the slightest awareness that he had caused a stir among the higher-ups of the Wa Kingdom, even if Jia Yan was aware, he wouldn’t have paid any attention!

But for the dozens of fighter jets coming to his aid, it was indeed a huge threat!

However, at this moment, the first thing that the Big Mosquito thought of was to carry out his initial intention!

The tumultuous waves below continued to crash.

And the crashed F-15J was constantly bobbing up and down amidst these waves.

It had already been wrecked, broken into several sections, with the main body parts still on the largest piece of debris.

Jia Yan looked at the plane’s debris, and with a shiny look in his compound eyes, he flew straight down!

Whirring!!

Even before approaching the debris of the plane, a sound similar to the hungry growls of a man who had been starving for a long time emerged from the condensation fluid on his body!

Then, Jia Yan stepped on the remains of the aircraft!

Whirring!!

The coagulating fluids seemed in a hurry to relish their feast, surging downsides swiftly.

Jia Yan quietly observed how these fluids functioned much like loaders — dissolving the metal of the aircraft quickly before breaking down the material inside into the most basic substances and delivering them to his body!

He then started to feel a little itchy.

Although it was not exactly painful, it was definitely not a pleasant feeling!

“So this is how my mutation works!

No wonder it was so painful in past mutations.

After all, it’s a complete change of the body, altering some essential aspects of organisms!”

Jia Yan watched as his body became quickly ‘enriched’, a different gleam shone in his compound eyes!

The mysterious coagulating fluids secreted from his body increased — layer upon layer!

These fluids rapidly dissolved the remains of the aircraft underneath and transported them to his body, causing Jia Yan’s body to gain weight.

Due to the previous ingestion of the Mysterious Azure Crystal, it seemed as though his cells had been primed for new substances.

The pain this time was much less intense, so compared to the past, Jia Yan could observe his mutation process with relative calm!

Jia Yan found out that the coagulating fluids secreted by his body didn’t only devour metals.

Although metals were the primary intake, other substances from the aircraft were also selectively incorporated into his body.

What surprised him most was that the fluids even absorbed seawater!

The seawater under his feet was absorbed into his body through a ‘path’ made of coagulating fluid, making his body inflate rapidly like a balloon!

Seawater, metals, and other materials from the aircraft were all put through a mysterious process of decomposition and recombination, triggering Jia Yan’s body to undergo the next mutation…

In no time, Jia Yan’s body was enveloped by a sticky substance.

This substance was the semi-solid state of the coagulated tissues!

The compound eyes of the big mosquito were also submerged deeply in the coagulate tissue!

Jia Yan could only feel that his devouring action had ended and that his internal organs were starting to change!

“This feeling…as though my internal organs are dissolving!”

Jia Yan finally began to feel pain!

Initially, he felt parts of his body were rapidly decomposing.

This process was not only uncomfortable, but also during decomposition, temporary replacement organs were formed to replace the decomposed organs ensuring significant bodily functions weren’t disrupted!

“What is the principle behind this?

Could there be some sort of machinery controlling these changes in my body!”

Jia Yan shuddered at this horrific thought!

In previous mutations, he had endured the pain and that was it.

This time he thought a lot since the level of pain had dropped!

Exactly because he could feel the process of changes in his body, Jia Yan began to fear the mysterious series of changes happening inside his body for the first time!

Everything seemed so perfect, as though there was truly a wise mutation process, which never seemed to happen normally!

So, what was really going on?!

Was there some mysterious force controlling everything, even the process of mutation?

“Impossible!”

Jia Yan immediately dismissed this strange idea!

His mutations revealed too many unpredictabilities and irregularities!

For instance, during the first mutation, he was merely surrounded by the body of a train, and the only material he ingested was the Purple-red liquid medicine!

Following from the black liquid, Mysterious Liquid, to the recent Deep Blue Crystal and Azure semi-solid, the appearance of these substances, different scenarios, different materials ingested and different bodily conditions present, they all varied!

Jia Yan thought for a long time and finally came up with a possibility,

That is — the self-evolution of organisms!

“I remember reading some books and news that insects have the strongest evolutionary ability.

They are the most compatible subjects for evolution.

A typical example includes a news program discussing how a factory polluted the surrounding trees, turning them black.

Insects that depended on the trees for survival were originally green but evolved into a black species in just a few years because of the blackened trees.

It’s evident how strong an insect’s ability to evolve is!”

“In my case, since I possess intelligence, after swallowing these liquids promoting mutation, my biological instinct seems to have brought about rapid evolution!”

“Exactly!

It’s all about the insects’ powerful innate evolutionary ability!”

The most typical example is the time I swallowed the black liquid.

Due to constant collision, the mutation process which would usually enlarge my body was interrupted, and it ended up strengthening my defense!

Afterwards, I was even able to defend myself against bullets!”

The more Jia Yan analyzed, the more he got a ‘truth’ that he could accept.

That was the only explanation he could come up with for why his mutations were so unpredictable and yet consistently beneficial!

“As for the other insects, they don’t have intelligence and their instinctive desire for biological evolution is far less than mine.

That’s why they can’t survive the mutation.

Even if some of them get the first mutation due to luck or special circumstances, they can’t possibly proceed to the second mutation!”
