It would be false to say that Jia Yan had not been observing the interior of the pipeline when he was attacking it earlier.

But he really hadn’t noticed this machine appearing!

There was nothing to be seen in the previous pipeline at all.

But now, this machine, somehow, was slowly rising, looking rather clueless.

It was a pulley-fitted machine, with the pulley fixed to the edge of the inner wall of the pipe.

There were three sets of pulleys altogether, forming a triangular shape, allowing the machine to move up and down in the pipe track with the help of these three pulleys!

As for the machine itself, apart from a motor device making a faint sound, its main body was a ring-like structure.

At this moment, there was a basket with a diameter of about thirty centimeters fitted in the ring, and the machine was lifting the basket upward!

This!

Seeing this machine, Jia Yan was not too surprised until he saw the thing loaded on the machine, and then his compound eyes burst out with astonishment!

“This is….”

Jia Yan was shocked to his core.

Before Jia Yan could discern carefully, the machine was already close by.

After pondering for a moment, Jia Yan pulled back a bit!

Even though the machine didn’t look dangerous, it’s still better to be cautious in all matters!

Despite the continued ascension of the machine, it got closer!

Unexpectedly, it didn’t seem smart at all.

When it reached the opening that Jia Yan had wrecked in the metal pipe, one of its wheels suddenly slid into the open air!

Crack!

A crisp sound echoed out!

The mechanical upward motion was halted.

When a wheel stepped onto the air void, the body got stuck at this part.

The wheel was spinning quickly, but it was unable to move!

Jia Yan watched the scene before him and then retreated a bit further.

He didn’t know whether this machine had the ability to attack.

If it did, he had to be careful!

After all, it had something to do with that mysterious machinery!

However, this machine didn’t seem to have any attack abilities, and judging by its appearance, it lacked any intellect, as it kept rolling its already skidding wheel at this spot!

Whizz…whizz…whizz…

The machine flashed red lights repeatedly from a part that looked like its eyes.

Then, without warning, the red light stopped!

The motor-like sound from the machine disappeared abruptly!

Perhaps it judged that something wrong had occurred and remained still!

Maybe it was waiting for maintenance here.

Normally this would be the best course of action, but there’s a Big Mosquito next to it now!

Jia Yan’s compound eyes brightened.

Then he gently flapped his wings and carefully moved closer towards this strange machine.

This machine was made of a metallic material that was different from the metal in the tunnel.

It didn’t seem to be crafted exquisitely, and it was nowhere near as perfect as the machinery from the Underground World!

On his way near, Jia Yan did not pay much attention to the miraculous machine!

His gaze was mostly attracted to the small basket on this machine!

The items in the basket were so attractive to him!

Jia Yan felt a slight craving in his body.

He wanted to devour it!

“No, it’s not something that can be easily devoured…”

Jia Yan felt a bit too desperate.

And what was the item that attracted him so much…?

The reveal came!

The swiftly approached machine held a basket-like structure at the center of its body.

The basket had a linking device that ensured whatever was inside wouldn’t spill out, whether the machine was moving up along the metal pipe or going forward horizontally.

And the stuff loaded in the basket was the source of Jia Yan’s attraction!

Whoosh!

Whoosh!

The Big Mosquito, with its dark body, approached this machine.

His compound eyes looked at the basket.

In the basket…

There was something brightly colored!

It was a semi-liquid!

Like jelly, it kept jiggling in the basket.

What was even stranger was its color, which was deep blue!

A deep blue color emanated from the liquid, reflecting this vibrant color directly onto Jia Yan’s compound eyes!

His front foot, shaped like a horn, extended carefully towards the basket!

Upon comparison, the deep blue color at the forefront of the knife-shaped keratin was almost identical to the deep blue liquid in this basket!

Looking at the object, the wild desire still surges through his heart!

However, Jia Yan, having had similar experiences, was able to suppress this devouring instinct of his!

“This object is also deep blue.

Could it be related to the Deep Blue Crystal I accidentally devoured last time?”

With his compound eyes, Jia Yan looked at this semi-solid liquid and speculated wildly in his mind.

“However, this deep blue color does not seem to be as potent as the Deep Blue Crystal.

When I first saw the Deep Blue Crystal, there was a strong sense of danger along with attraction.”

“Now seeing this Deep Blue Liquid, there is no sense of danger at all, and the attraction is much less than what the Deep Blue Crystal had initially!

I wonder if it’s because I’ve become stronger, or whether this semi-liquid isn’t as good as the Deep Blue Crystal?”

Jia Yan pondered, resisting the urge to consume the semi-liquid.

It can’t be a good thing to blindly follow instinctive desires every time, it’s bound to end badly one day!

It is for this reason that Jia Yan did not follow his instinct this time.

The attractive feeling isn’t very strong either, so it’s worth taking some time to think it over!

The immobilized machine, stuck in the metal opening Jia Yan had created, showed no response at all.

It left Jia Yan standing there beside it, compound eyes remained focused on the Deep Blue Liquid in the small internal basket.

“This Deep Blue Liquid might be a different substance from the Deep Blue Crystal!

Can I make a bold guess?….”

“If this machine is some kind of transport device, could its task be to collect this Deep Blue Liquid from somewhere and transport it to the Mysterious Machinery, which then somehow makes the Deep Blue Crystal..”

This seemed to explain a lot!

“Could the entire Mysterious Machinery, including these pipes and transport tools, have been created exclusively for the production of the Deep Blue Crystal?”

“Could this deep blue semi-liquid be the raw material for Deep Blue Crystal?”

Jia Yan found it hard to believe.

If this were true, what use could the Deep Blue Crystal have, and who would have created the Mysterious Machinery and this absurdly lengthy pipeline?

Would there be any adverse effects from absorbing this Deep Blue Crystal into his body?

For a moment, Jia Yan had many thoughts.

Linking things together, Jia Yan had a rough idea of the purpose of the Mysterious Machinery.

What came next, though?

What use could the production of deep blue metal have?

Could it be related to those giant monsters?

The more he thought about these things, the more confused Jia Yan became.

Jia Yan forced himself to stop thinking too much about it!

He was naturally someone who enjoyed analyzing things, and it seemed he thought more about things after his rebirth!

While this isn’t necessarily a bad thing, and in many cases considering before acting is a good thing.

But sometimes overthinking is not entirely a good thing.

“In that case, I’ll just take out the deep blue liquid first!”

Jia Yan contemplated for a moment, then went ahead and gently twisted the small basket-like object that was hanging inside the machine with his front leg!

The basket frame made a crisp sound and then was removed with the basket containing the Deep Blue Liquid.

The machine, however, continued to lie in the metal channel.

Just as Jia Yan was about to remove the basket from himself, the eye-like light on the machine seemed to flash a burst of light!

Nevertheless, the burst extinguished quickly.

Jia Yan, who was close by, did not even notice this anomaly!

At the same time…

Workers were bustling about in an underground space not far away.

But they did not anticipate that the machine by their side, which the high-ups of the Wa Kingdom called a Divine Object, would flash a light at the same time as the transport machine in the pipeline!

Swish Swish Swish!

The burst of light flashed, and the Divine Object quivered slightly.

The people of the Wa Kingdom had been calling this mysterious machinery a Divine Object and had been extracting secrets from it for a long time!

However, they had never seen the Divine Object do anything other than stand still!

People in this long house could indeed be considered researchers at some top-tier institute in the Wa Kingdom!

But due to confidentiality, the institution was such a crucial secret in the Wa Kingdom that many of these researchers had a hard time going home often after starting work at the institute.

Only five people, however, were truly at the core of the institution!

In fact, they were key figures of the entire Wa Kingdom!

Each of these individuals made significant contributions to the Wa Kingdom, and even their words could determine the future research direction of the Wa Kingdom.

However, the five of them seemed a bit different today, standing together tensely, looking at the data screen on a machine.

The screen showed lines that were initially stable, but were now uneven, even showing a downward trend!

“What’s happening?

The pressure in one of the pipelines of the Divine Object has dropped!

Has there been an accident?!”

An elderly man with white beard looked at the data on the screen in astonishment.

The five huddled together, looking at these simple lines and appeared to be very surprised!

“This won’t do.

If the pressure continues to drop, the incident from twenty years ago will definitely happen again, we must prevent it!” The expression of another man became grave!

All five had experienced a similar incident twenty years ago.

Thinking of the situation at the time, the expressions on these five top researchers became fearful!
