Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

167: Chapter 3 Aerial Chase!

[Seeking Subscriptions] _1 167: Chapter 3 Aerial Chase!

[Seeking Subscriptions] _1 The small basket he was holding had long since been flung away during the attack.

This thing was actually quite a treasure, probably able to withstand a few bullets under volley fire.

If those from the Wa Kingdom who found it took good care of it, it might even become a divine weapon to be passed down through generations.

Of course, for Jia Yan, discarding this object meant nothing since the azure semi-solid substance inside had already been consumed by him!

Jia Yan was undergoing mutation!

“You have come to attack me, and it just so happens that I was considering not compromising my body by merging it with plain earth and rock in this mutation.

Are not your fighter jets better sources of metal?!

I will destroy you!

At least destroy one of you!

To serve as nourishment for my mutation!!”

Jia Yan stared at the two distant jets, a faint gleam flashed across his compound eyes.

The Big Mosquito had a faint azure hue, as if the black was tinged with a hint of the sky’s color!

A strange, viscous fluid started to seep out of the body of the hovering creature.

It was an indescribable sensation.

This was the first time Jia Yan felt such a strange sensation while undergoing a mutation with such clear consciousness.

His body yearned for something – a craving to devour!

This hunger for devouring could be for anything, as long as it increased the mass of his body!

Of course, the absence of pain was only in comparison to previous mutations.

There was no way he wouldn’t feel anything unusual.

Hovering low, Jia Yan gradually ascended while two fighter jets from afar turned around in the air…

“What’s going on !?

How is the Big Mosquito unscathed!

It’s really a monster!”

The pilots’ eyes bulged.

Not only did they stop scoffing at the Big Mosquito for lacking intelligence, they stopped scoffing at even the roundabout way their jets manoeuvred!

Faced with a beast that could withstand aerial cannon ammunition with its bare body, it was a common occurrence that their planes were damaged due to their carelessness…

But of course, they wouldn’t make the same mistake.

Because they were prepared!

If they kept their distance and only attacked, what could the Giant Mosquito Monster, slower than the jets, do to them?!

Even if it was a monster, continuous attacks on their side would not get destroyed by the monster’s gaze, right?

So, the two F-15Js greeted each other over the radio, then, they roared forward!

Jia Yan watched the two jets in the far-off sky, sprinting towards him at nearly the speed of sound!

He knew very clearly what these two jets wanted to do, and what they were relying on!

They were betting that he, Jia Yan, couldn’t keep up with the speed of the jets.

That’s why they were sprinting forward without any hesitation, right?

“Good, since my mutating body has a great deal of energy, and you want to play, let’s play.”

A gleam flashed in the compound eyes of the Big Mosquito, and then, he moved!

His wings stretched out, making a loud popping sound!

The continuous explosion sounds of the fighter jets in the sky, along with the unique flapping sound of Big Mosquito’s wings, had long since caught the attention of the people on the ground!

Some of the citizens of the Wa Kingdom started screaming after looking up in surprise!

The rest noticed that in the sky just a few hundred meters above their heads, two large and one small flying objects were engaged in combat!

The roaring jets overhead, and the giant mosquito flying in the sky, made it easy to guess that they had intercepted the Giant Mosquito Monster that wreaked havoc in the Wa Kingdom days ago, right here!

“Filial Monarch!

Look, up in the sky!”

“Cellphone!

Quick, take a video of this grand scene.

So, that’s the Giant Mosquito they were talking about on TV a few days ago.

I didn’t expect it to be so small.”

“What is that jet doing?

Why is it flying around this densely populated area?

Hey, what’s that in front of the jet?

A bird?”

On the ground, countless humans had noticed the thrilling battle in the sky due to the noise!

In the sky, Jia Yan had already figured out the jets’ way of dealing with him!

“If these pilots think that I can’t harm them because I’m slower, then they’re greatly mistaken!”

Jia Yan was flying in the sky, his compound eyes gleaming, wings flapping fast!

Hummm!

Hum!

Humm!!

The humming of Giant Mosquito’s wings became louder!

From a standstill, his speed suddenly increased!

The rate of acceleration was much faster than the fighter jets!

And this was his only advantage that Jia Yan knew about!

That was, his ability to change speed swiftly!

After all, he was a real flying creature!

Human fighter jets might be really fast, unparalleled by any living creature in the world, but if we talk about agility, they fall way short!

Besides, Jia Yan’s current speed was not slow at all!

Rather, it was extremely fast!

Hummm!

Hum!

Humm!!

The Giant Mosquito took off and the two fighter jets behind him simultaneously launched their attack!

Another barrage of aircraft cannon bullets was fired at high speed!

Jia Yan noticed that the two fighter jets did not dare to aim at the ground, but tried to fire their bullets into the air and towards the sea.

Certainly, as part of the Japanese Air Force, they would not harm their own civilians.

But even so, under the roar of the aircraft cannon, the people below immediately broke into screams and even cried!

After all, the threat posed by the fighter jets’ attacks was too great, and who knew if they might end up being targeted themselves?

Consequently, the people of Wa Kingdom, who had become more cowardly after the war, immediately switched from their initial state of spectating to panic mode, fleeing for their lives while screaming in fear.

“Run!

Those two jets had the audacity to use their weapons, let’s get out of here now!”

“Have they gone insane?

If any of the bullets hit the civilians below, who will be held accountable?

Damn it!”

Countless people started cursing the jet pilots overhead.

That’s just how the people of Wa Kingdom are.

After the war, many in their nation became extremely volatile.

Any issue involving the government or national agencies triggers angry outbursts from them.

There are times when even their head of state gets pulled down because of their discontent.

Of course, the people of Wa Kingdom aren’t unique in this regard.

This candid discussion is, however, a digression and is best left aside for now.

The Big Mosquito in the sky couldn’t hear the scolding from the people of the Wa Kingdom below, but at least it knew that no country’s military would dare to point their guns at their own people!

So its compound eyes lit up!

Although it had previously proven with actual facts that Jia Yan was not afraid of the other party’s aerial gunfire, it still hurt when he was hit by them!

Moreover, it would interfere with Jia Yan’s mutation process!

So Jia Yan spread his wings and turned towards Inland!

He intended to render the two jets helpless, particularly preventing them from firing those few launched missiles!

Because at this point, he wasn’t sure if he would get hurt if he was accidentally directly hit by a missile!

Buzz!

Buzz!

Buzz!

So after Jia Yan swiftly changed his direction to dodge and evade several bullets shot at him from the aerial guns.

He twisted his wings!

The direction suddenly changed!

Initially heading towards the Outer Sea, the Giant Mosquito about-faced and chose to return to Inland.

Moreover, it even chose to fly towards a town not far ahead!

The two pilots on the F-15J jets were left dumbfounded!

“Is this mosquito sentient?

It’s flying to more populated areas, could it be a tactic against us!”

“Damn it!

We should have waited for it to get further away from the city before launching an attack, we miscalculated!”

The two pilots had been told before take-off by top military brass to only launch their attack once the Giant Mosquito Monster had flown out of Inland.

Considering that the Big Mosquito had nearly reached the sea, and everyone thought it wouldn’t be smart enough to return to Inland and use the civilians as a human shield,

But to their shock, that was exactly what happened!

Their attacks were even more challenging now!

“Chase it!

We can’t let it escape!”

The two F-15J jets had taken off and naturally couldn’t return empty-handed.

The two pilots grit their teeth and ascended, tailing Jia Yan!

Boom!

Boom!

Boom!

Three fast flying objects started a high-speed chase in the sky!

Due to the ongoing evolution, there was a sudden explosion of the Azure Power inside Jia Yan’s body, which significantly boosted his sprint speed!

Four hundred fifty Lumen!

Four hundred seventy Lumen!

Four hundred ninety Lumen!

Five hundred Lumen!

Five hundred ten Lumen!

Five hundred thirty Lumen!

Five hundred fifty Lumen!

Buzz!!

The Giant Mosquito’s speed rapidly exceeded the limit of five hundred fifty kilometers per hour!

Jia Yan felt a force pulling at his body from the back.

His entire body, even his antennae, felt an incredible force pulling backward in the blast wind!

This was inertia!

In aviation jargon, it’s often referred to as overload!

When the speed reaches a certain limit, a human pilot’s ability to withstand overload surpasses that limit.

Even the most experienced pilots, if they can’t withstand overload due to physical restrictions, will remain third-rate pilots.

After all, a pilot with a high overload tolerance can perform a high-altitude reversal because of his physique, getting his jet behind yours in an instant.

At that point, aiming and shooting at you is just a button press away!

And if you can’t perform such high-load maneuvers, then all you can do is wait to be annihilated!

But, has the Big Mosquito reached its overload limit?

What a joke!

Jia Yan is a mosquito capable of resisting massive attacks.

His physique is far beyond that of human pilots!

So!

Even at this extreme speed of five hundred and fifty kilometers per hour, when Jia Yan reached the airspace above the town…

He twisted his wings fiercely!

Jia Yan felt as if he had hit a wall!

Due to the twist of his wings, his body quickly turned in mid-air!

Ascended!

In that instant, Jia Yan felt as though his weight had exceeded its own limit, becoming ten times heavier!

The instantaneous overload pressure made him feel slightly uncomfortable!

But he was still far from reaching his limit!
