Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

174: Chapter 9: Global Shock!

[Seeking Subscribers]_1 174: Chapter 9: Global Shock!

[Seeking Subscribers]_1 Hond Bushou was looking at the map on the table.

In reality, his land self-defense force had been constantly retreating.

Their current front line was ten kilometers out from Mount Fuji.

Hond Bushou knew that in his own country, or even the whole world, while many people were propagating the so-called ‘monster threat,’ hardly any actually considered these monsters as their opponents!

Those people were just exploiting this narrative to serve their own purposes!

Fame, promotion, or financial gain.

There were simply no ones who were truly aware of these monster threats!

However, Hond Bushou was well aware.

From the day-long offense and defense, he had understood that the army of metallic monsters before him was not something that could be easily dealt with!

What they were facing now was only a group of about three hundred metal monsters!

The rest of the metal monsters disappeared along the path and into the deep mountains or small trails.

With fifteen hundred of them, they were only defending against a meager group of just over three hundred monsters!

Yet, they still could not hold their ground!

“Did you see?

I didn’t stop the monsters from the other directions, I only defended against this group.

Can you see why?

Because once we withdraw, this group of monsters can go straight through the road behind us to —— Tokyo Circle!

Can you imagine the scene if these monsters break into Tokyo Circle?”

Hond Bushou laughed bitterly.

The big shots in the back were still arguing endlessly, but as the commander of this battlefield, he was the one who truly understood the combat power of these monsters!

These monsters had incredibly potent individual combat strength, and they attacked in groups.

After leaving the area of Mount Fuji, they would scatter, rely on their formidable individual combat power, and assault the cities in small groups!

With such scattering, the idea of using powerful weapons to carry out an instantaneous extermination was not feasible!

How to fight this war?

Hond Bushou even thought that if their sacred ‘Mount Fuji’ continued to jet out these monsters, the state of confusion in their country would only worsen!

It would truly become a forbidden zone of living, fraught with crises and dangers!

“How can I dare to retreat?!

Once I retreat, the responsibility would be too great!” Hond Bushou thought helplessly.

Before he could come up with a good solution though,

A ray of red light, like a meteor from outer space, directly bombarded this building! Boom!!

A deafening sound echoed, and then the self-proclaimed ‘wise’ leader of Wa Kingdom, even before he could offer a good scheme, was crushed under the fake building!

The first high-ranking Wa Kingdom military officer died!

This is the first high-ranking military officer to die in a war since WW II, and this was only the first day of the war against the metal monsters!

The shock to the whole country could not sufficiently express this storm!

However, what was even more terrifying was that these metal monsters had opened the road to Tokyo Circle in Wa Kingdom, and finally thrust into this path, traveling at a speed barely less than that of a car!

The gaze was on the globally renowned prosperous city, about to plunge under the threat of monsters!

The entire violent machinery of Wa Kingdom, also known as the ‘Self-Defense Force,’ which was actually just a war weapon, finally made large-scale movements!

They prepared for the battle!

Each inch of land in Wa Kingdom was as valuable as gold, and the damage these monsters had caused to the houses, the loss of the people’s property, and the loss of life, all in just over one day’s time, were already uncountable!

The high-ranking officials of Wa Kingdom finally started to genuinely perceive the metal monsters, their idea of exploiting this crisis for personal political and economic gains, slightly converging, and they started to work together to counter this globally shocking crisis!

However, hidden beneath all this was another more worrisome matter.

That was Mount Fuji, although gradually ceasing eruption…

But, from the volcano’s mouth, there was a ceaseless emergence of metal monsters!

This news was like a bucket of cold water over the heads of the people who had faith in the Wa Kingdom’s self-defense force!

Two days had passed since the eruption of Mount Fuji.

The number of metal monsters had abruptly increased to five thousand!

Five thousand, and they were all metal monsters with extremely terrifying combat power.

The entire Wa Kingdom couldn’t sit still anymore!

Requests for foreign reinforcements, like paper messages, were sent out to multiple countries!

People didn’t know when there would be an end to these nightmare monsters that seem to come from the core of the Earth.

If they were to come out endlessly…

People didn’t even dare to imagine!

Meanwhile, deep under the sea, Jia Yan, who was in the middle of transformation, had no mind to worry about the metal monsters anymore!

It felt as if he was asleep, but unlike his previous mutations, where he seemed to faint, this sleep felt more like someone drifting between consciousness, to technically enjoy the sensation of being in a mother’s womb!

He was just a mosquito, although born in water, he had never really experienced how comforting and soothing the flow of water could be.

The noise of the world was of all sorts, but in the depths of the sea, all sounds disappeared.

Anxiety and pain, away from the world, away from the land, in this underwater world, seemed not to exist!

Jia Yan was half asleep and half awake, half-conscious, and half-sleeping deep.

He could sense that the giant shark had gnawed at the ‘cocoon’ shell on his body.

He could also feel the small fishes and shrimp, relying on the enormous substance he had condensed, were proliferating here.

It seemed like a long time, but not many days had passed.

Within a few days, Jia Yan could hear the endless cycle of the simplest food chain; microscopic organisms devouring plankton, small fish and shrimp devouring them, then large fish eating the small fish, the gigantic fish consuming those large fish, and then being preyed on by sharks, the overlords of the sea…

Through the water flow, Jia Yan could feel the ripples of water tens to hundreds of meters away.

Although being in the ‘cocoon’ and unable to see the outside world, his gradually forming ears had incredible hearing.

The sea, the birthplace of life, all creatures on Earth evolved through the sea, into the variety of life forms we see today.

Every species itself is but a fleeting existence in Earth’s long history, like a flash across the sky!

From the inception of human civilization, it has been a mere few thousand years.

Although proclaimed as the rulers of Earth, humans are just a typical species living on its surface to the planet.

Who can assert that in the long history of biological life on Earth, there have been no intelligent life forms like humans that have burst forth with brilliant civilizations, only to disappear into the river of history in an unknown manner, their existence even consumed by time, becoming an unsolved mystery?

Therefore, the so-called ‘domination’ that humans claim is just self-deception.

In the Earth’s evolutionary history, humanity is just a temporary brilliance.

One misstep in the future could obliterate them in the long course of time!

Time is capable of eradicating all existence.

Jia Yan, in a half-conscious state, seemed to comprehend great truths but also as if he had thought about nothing at all.

The duration of this mutation was considerable, the effects of the Deep Blue Crystal and Deep Blue Liquid seemingly surpassed any previous mutation materials.

Jia Yan was still in deep sleep.

However, he did not realize how enormous the mess he had created was!

Perhaps, after damaging the metal pipes, he was judged as a threat by some mysterious entity.

More and more metallic monsters flooded out from the pipes, seemingly endlessly!

It wasn’t just in the Wa Kingdom anymore!

Finally, three days after the outbreak of the Mount Fuji battle in the Wa kingdom, the number of metal monsters emerging on the surface suddenly reached ten thousand!

In the Stars and Stripes Country, there was a very famous geological park!

It’s called Yellowstone National Park!

This Yellowstone National Park is also a natural volcano.

However, unlike Mount Fuji in the Wa Kingdom, it is referred to as a ‘super volcano’!

The term ‘super volcano’ means that the scale of this volcano is exceptionally vast.

Unlike Mount Fuji, even if it erupts, it would only cause disaster within a certain range.

If the Yellowstone volcano erupts, the resulting catastrophe could even affect the entire Earth’s climate, causing a series of subsequent impacts.

It is absolutely terrifying!

However, on this day, in the Yellowstone Park, which was already monitored by the Stars and Stripes country, figures began to slowly crawl out from the scorching earth below!

They were fearsome-featured with metallic bodies and a flesh-like exterior, yet not entirely the same!

They were simply replicas of the metallic monsters from Mount Fuji in the Wa Kingdom!

Boom boom boom!!!

When red lights began blasting onto the countless tourists in Yellowstone Park, tearing them apart.

The world’s most potent country, the Stars and Stripes Country, was in crisis!

On this day, whether due to a chain reaction, many similar situations occurred worldwide!

Some weren’t volcanoes but came from underground caverns, famous and unknown caves, and even some undiscovered caves.

Reports indicated metallic monsters appearing from these each of these locations!

The numbers, even roughly estimated overnight, surprisingly reached as high as fifty thousand!

Boom boom boom!!!

Countless red lights exploded over the Surface World that humans took pride in, tearing apart and destroying the structures they had spent vast sums of money to build!

The metallic monsters from the Underground World continued to multiply.

Every continent, every region, saw their appearances!

The world was shocked!

A great upheaval awaited!

The monster crisis, following Huaxia’s first discovery of a giant monster, for the first time, became a worldwide catastrophe!

During the days that the world was about to change.

In the Undersea World, the enormous floating substance remained in hibernation.

The Deep Blue substance gently flickered on the surface of the dark material.

Jia Yan was still asleep.

Perhaps what awaited him would be an eternal slumber, or perhaps after waking, the Big Mosquito…

Would be one step closer!

How powerful?

Nobody knew!

I’ve noticed some readers saying I only update one chapter a day!

I’m helpless, as I update two chapters of 6000+ or even 7000+ words per day, yet I’m still criticized for slow updates.

Although I can’t compare to those who update ten thousand words daily, I think I’m far better than those who update only 2k words.

Everyone can count how many times I miss an update?

And basically, each time I make up for it.

Despite having only a handful of paying subscribers, I’m still persevering.

Please, those of you reading pirated versions, stop slandering me for updating only one chapter a day.

In less than three months, I updated 550k words, you can calculate the update speed yourself!

Well, I continue to ask for your regular subscriptions!

The word count above is well calculated.

It doesn’t count towards revenue.
