Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 5255: Reaper’s Dominion

Time passed, and a day was over after the Divine Emperor of Death was found in the Six-Headed Hydra Upper Realm.

The uproar of the Golden Era beginning did not need information to spread since the tsunami of heaven and earth energy spread across the Upper Realms were plain to be seen even if it were only little and slower than the Desolate Era’s rate of expansion since the desolate air disappeared at the edges of its maximum range and heavily dispersed in the middle, meaning other than the realms around the Six-Headed Hydra upper Realm, the rest of the realms were already healing back to its original state.

The realms at the edge haven’t got the purified and improved heaven and earth energy from the Golden Era yet, but their realm’s dragon veins started producing better amounts of energy when the desolate air receded. The same could be said about the realms in the middle, but the process of resuscitation of the dragon veins was still ongoing for them.

That alone looked like they had crossed a calamity, but it was already different where the source appeared.

In the Six-Headed Hydra Upper Realm, numerous people cried out in joy and shed tears of relief without getting tired of it.

They had all abandoned their homes, abandoned their territories to flee to the sanctuaries. They had lost most of their income, lost their family members, some losses intangible and unspeakable. The situation was so bad that some immortals died of hunger after they had run out of energy in the middle of making the trip to the sanctuaries! The Upper Realm was so vast that they could not travel even if they had thousands of years of time, so when they could not rely on flying ships and evacuation arks organized by higher powers, their fate was to die of starvation or get eaten by some magical beast that had gone crazy from hunger.

They had no one else to hate but the Divine Emperor of Death. They felt this hate was deserved and wished for him to die so badly.

Yet, news slowly but surely spread to every corner of the realm, reaching the ears of the populace in every corner through karmic declaration from set mountain peaks.

The Divine Emperor of Death was the major reason for the Golden Era to shroud the Six-Headed Hydra Upper Realm and beyond.

The Divine Emperor of Death and his first wife aided in war efforts against the Hydra Galaxy.

The Divine Emperor of Death had asked his reward to be recognition- for his family to be treated as non-Divergents and compete for the Realm Core.

Once the quadrillions of populace from the Six-Headed Hydra Realm learned of it, the curses they held in their tongues didn’t vanish, but it was certainly held back a bit.

They could sense the Divine Emperor of Death’s care for his family.

If even the Supreme Ruler granted him amnesty, pardoning him for some time and then even granted a reward, surely, he was a good man...? Even if he wasn’t a force of good, surely, his family was a righteous power and followed the laws of the land, right...?

They didn’t know what to say anymore. None of it seemed believable, yet they couldn’t deny the truth, especially when the claim was made by the major powers and even the indifferent Heaven’s Warriors.

However, there were also voices that grew only more aggressive, condemning the Divine Emperor of Death to eternal damnation. Many wanted to personally kill him because they had lost so much, lost everything they cared for, but they also knew none of them were powerful enough, so they could only rally behind major powers who were willing to take the task.

But at the moment, no such power came forward since they all seemed to be busy assembling for war.

But beneath the surface waves, the undercurrents were severe.

The ordinary people had no way of knowing that the major powers were clashing for World Hegemon Grade Treasures and Exalt Grade treasures, the latter blossoming life flowers in a flower field. Over a few hundred Exalt Grade resources matured in a single day, causing many worldly or heavenly phenomena to appear across the realm and attract numerous powers for it to fight, while many went unnoticed since most powers had been gathered in sanctuaries built across the realm.

Hence, the mass exodus or the event dubbed as ’I Left My Treasure Back Home’ also began.

Funnily enough, it was the reason people used to fight for the treasures they found in other people’s homes, claiming it had been their territory instead while the true landlords were nowhere to be seen, either dead or later.

Most of the sanctuaries had nearly turned empty in a single day, especially the outer regions where people couldn’t gain a proper foothold, but the Bastion Cities were still thriving since the Ethereal Lumina Tree provided even more heaven and earth energy than before. Rumors said that some people could actually hear its leaves bristling in the air with joy. Even the stragglers and those who couldn’t afford a house there still wanted to stay.

Many people didn’t want to leave.

In case the war worsened, wouldn’t staying in this place be far better?

Moreover, no matter who succeeds the Realm Core Succession, the ruling power will never let people come near the Ethereal Lumina Tree, much less build a city, so this was undoubtedly a great opportunity for them to increase their cultivation before the Bastion Cities get demolished and everyone is forced to go back to their territories.

But some were still skeptical, thinking that the Desolate Era would return since the Divine Emperor of Death wasn’t killed.

Numerous Mystic Diviners skilled in divination also said the same thing, urging the Heaven’s Warriors to seal the Divine Emperor of Death quickly before they could lose the Golden Era to his unknown whims. The fact that he was harvesting treasures instead of leaving outright to safety also allowed them to brand him as greedy beyond compare.

But despite the calls for sealing the Divine Emperor of Death never ceasing, people moved on about their own business, trying to take all the benefits they could from the birth of the Golden Era.

No one had time to gather people and form a crusade against him.

The fact that he had taken down five major powers just by nearly him alone spread like wildfire, allowing them to know only a dedicated team of Omega Exalts and Absolute Primarchs could possibly take him down. Furthermore, with a few more Divergents helping him, they knew it might require a few peak experts like the Seven Boundless Brothers to descend.

*Bzz!~*

While they were calling for the true experts to descend, not even a day had passed before it was said the skies displayed a strange phenomenon in a certain location, which was different than that of the worldly phenomena and heavenly phenomena displayed by treasures naturally manifesting or maturing. Coincidentally, the location matched the current whereabouts of the Divine Emperor of Death.

The skies turned black and white as though they had lost color; translucent soul mist descended, shrouding the atmosphere like it was plunged into colorless water.

The manifestation of a huge gate etched with strange runes descended, reverberating with ominous and fortuitous vibes. Behind the gate, a wheel appeared, spinning as it made the barren lands sprout herbs and made the fertile lands lose all their lush nature.

In front of the gate was a flying ship, and on the deck was a Handsome Fatty who had his jaws drop.

He looked at the massive gate that radiated an oppressive aura. He could barely see beyond its majestic nature, making him close his eyes and shut his forehead meridian point, fearing that his soul might be snatched.

The door to the deck opened, and there stepped out a purple-robed man, his blonde hair swaying in the wind. His body radiated a black-white luminance. Black-white mist intertwined around his figure, one side overflowing with vitality while the other carried the silence of death. His sapphire eyes momentarily gleamed with a black-white radiance, making them appear like heterochromia eyes.

He appeared beside Handsome Fatty in a few steps and looked at the gates leading to the Reincarnation Dimension with a calm look on his face.

They were finally here... or not...?

His solemn gaze squinted as he saw the manifestation disappearing before it left the space.

He narrowed his eyes for some time, wondering what had just happened. Was it just a phenomenon and not an intervention from the Reincarnation Dimension?

After all, he knew comprehending Level Two Obscure Intent of Phyletic Laws of Scythe was going to infringe on the secrets of the reincarnation cycle.

’Damn, they’re really waiting for my tribulation to appear before making a real move, huh? Or is this the universe working in my favor, granting me a pardon like before, allowing me to absorb heaven and earth energy freely?’

Davis thought with confusion.

He exhaled a black-white mist, heaving away his worries as well as the scythe intent before patting Handsome Fatty’s shoulder.

”How many treasures did you collect while I was in seclusion?”
