Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 5252: A Never Before Seen Talent

”Tsk... tsk...”

Hidden deep above the purple-white clouds, the sound of amazement echoed across, but not a single soul could perceive it.

The Celestial Transcendent was shrouded within the skies, his form no different than the auspicious clouds.

He saw the Divine Emperor of Death’s skill in wielding the scythe alone was incredible, as his movements comprised the softness of yin, and then suddenly transformed into the sharpness of yang. Doing it with just a straight or curved sword was alone difficult enough, but this person was doing it with a scythe.

The difficulty of handling a scythe alone put many at risk since such a big weapon was full of holes and would easily crack under the penetration of a spear or the sharpness of a sword.

He could tell it wouldn’t be long until this brat improved his comprehension of Reaping Scythe Laws to Level Two Obscure Intent since he also seemed to understand the Upanishads of Death Laws and Upanishads of Life Laws, directly drawing power from the primordial concepts of the unchanged universe to twist the nature of a life or phenomenon.

The most incredulous thing was he was sure this brat didn’t know anything about Reaping Scythe Laws, no systematic way of learning, yet he was making great strides in it. He had never seen anyone make such drastic improvements in Reaping Scythe Laws. One, not many used scythes, and two, Reaping Scythe Laws was obscured by the Reincarnation Dimension since it portrayed its secrets, but at the same time, was also empowered by the universe, allowing it to be a frightening Law even among Phyletic Laws.

He could tell the Divine Emperor of Death’s reincarnation-attributed soul played a huge part in allowing him to comprehend Reaping Scythe Laws, but it didn’t explain how he managed to overturn the Desolate Era and bring the Golden Era.

This feat had even shaken him to a great degree since he felt it wasn’t possible even with Level Two Obscure Intent of Reaping Scythe Laws - Reaper’s Dominion because Davis was still an Empyrean and not even an Exalt. He felt this kind of reversal could only be done by those who had reached the level above the World Hegemon Stage and comprehended Reaper’s Dominion, so what allowed Davis to harvest the Desolate Era and reap the Golden Era?

This was something he couldn’t understand.

Unlike the Elementary Obscure Intent - Scythe Focus and Level One Obscure Intent - Death Reaper State, the state which allows the scythe master to rob vitality and make it really hard for the wound to heal to the point of grave mortality, Level Two Obscure Intent - Reaper’s Dominion allowed one to reap life and sow death, vice versa.

’What you sow, what you reap~’

A famous saying among farmers who use their sickle to harvest crops every cycle and mock others who couldn’t make a profit with the selection of crops.

Those who did not understand life and death as a whole will never be able to reach the level of Reaper’s Dominion, much less bring about the Golden Era.

Even if Davis had successfully fused State of Divine Possession and Reaper’s Dominion, how could it still be possible?

It wasn’t, so he couldn’t help but ponder firmly.

As he watched the young lad move across the experts, easily parrying the Abyssal Radiance Empire’s Emperor whose spear arts were renowned and the Gale Burial Pavilion Master, whose Imposing Sword Laws reached Level One Obscure Intent while his Wind Laws were also at the peak of Exalt Grade, the two combining to form a fast and seamless penetrating sword that couldn’t be blocked easily, he felt amazed.

Power was one thing and skill was another.

The Divine Emperor of Death was attacked before he could fully power up, but he still came out unscathed.

In his eyes, that was the feat of an old monster who had a lot of experience fighting millions of battles.

Next, the Divine Emperor of Death did something that made him raise his brows.

Davis harvested the essence of poison-light and changed it into one healing-light. What was meant to harm, as the Grayscale Poison Hound’s poison was said to be insidious, was turned into a delicate healing mist.

’Sure enough, the hounds’ livers are said to be useful in making healing and antidote pills after being refined a lot of times... to think he could change the nature of the poison-light mist as soon as it was unleashed...’

The Celestial Transcendent’s brows twitched, knowing that Davis was infinitely close to comprehending Level Two Obscure Intent - Reaper’s Dominion, since he had just reaped death and sowed life as he did for the Desolate Era.

The act of reaping life and sowing death was the easiest to comprehend since even killing could constitute as such. However, as easy as it seemed, the insights required to comprehend this act of killing were way beyond that, as it involved not only killing but sending the souls back to reincarnation manually or digesting them like after reaping the harvest.

Considering the Divine Emperor of Death already seemed accomplished in reaping life and sowing death due to his ability to absorb and refine souls, he would only have to do the opposite of reaping death and sowing life a few more times and then consolidate his comprehension to encounter a breakthrough again!

*Whizz!~*

The Celestial Transcendent’s brows creased as he then saw Davis reveal the Galaxy Wormhole Battlefield through his eyes filled with the power of reincarnation and empowered by the Enigmatic Will, managing to cow his opponents and frighten them into surrender.

’This lad... he even recreated the oppressive force of a place...! In this case, the mysteries of the Galaxy Wormhole Battlefield that was full of bloodshed and souls drifting off to the reincarnation cycle were captured by him, allowing him to replicate it through illusory ocular arts...!’

He couldn’t help but heave a heavy sigh as he felt it was an extreme pity that a genius like this couldn’t stand together with the human race, all because he was an Anarchic Divergent.

”A genius of this level has never appeared in my human race, and he turned out to be an Anarchic Divergent...”

The Celestial Transcendent uttered in a somber tone as he gazed into the distance to where the heavens had gone off to, ”What a scam...!”

*Swoosh!~*

Abruptly, he lowered his head and saw the Divine Emperor of Death force out the ancestors hidden within the spatial layers, making him frown.

Why was he picking a fight with them? Does he not understand his intentions? If things got awry and Davis killed them, then he would have no choice but to descend and swat him like a fly.
