Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 2991  Plunging Into Vigilance

”…”

1

The Starlight Jade Wolf King, Renfa Jadelight, and Davion Jadelight were just engaged in a conversation with Davis about three possible threats above the Immortal Emperor Stage, so when they were suddenly interrupted and informed that the safety of the First Haven World was at stake, they didnʼt know how to react for a moment before their expressions flared.

”What!?”

”Little First, what do you mean?”

Davion Jadelight reacted with shock, thinking that those three were here, but Renfa Jadelight controlled the shudder in her heart as she asked.

The First Ancestorʼs expression was heavy, ”The Vacuous Beasts have reappeared in the First Haven World.”

”What? Where is the source?”

The Starlight Jade Wolf King turned confused. If it were the Vacuous Beasts, then the Calamity Light was already gone. How could they descend again? Since there was no sign of a Calamity Light, he was sure that they came from somewhere else.

”We donʼt know. They didnʼt appear from the skies but are spawning in every Domain as we speak.”

intentionally opening many spatial tunnels as the aura of these spatial vortexes seems to be one from cultivators. Someone even ”Spawning?” Davis became taken aback.

He was confused since he knew these Vacuous Beasts came from outside the First Haven World. If it werenʼt from the skies, where could they come from? From under the ground?

The First Ancestor nodded, ”We heard reports that someone is intentionally opening many spatial tunnels as the aura of these spatial vortexes seems to be one from cultivators. Someone even said that these spatial vortexes were opened by the surviving Immortal Emperors of the Godwin Family, but weʼre not sure…”

”…”

Davis blinked.

The first thought that came to his mind was: vengeance.

However, that didnʼt seem likely, as the Godwin Familyʼs remnants would have no way to bring something from the true immortal world. He couldnʼt believe what he was hearing but turned serious.

”Immortal Emperor Vacuous Beasts? Thatʼs serious news that we cannot ignore.”

”We have already killed one. It was a giant fray rabbit around a thousand meters long, fast and deadly, but since it was only at Level Six Immortal Emperor Stage, we were able to cause it to burst into a river of blood. Fortunately, they seem rather… hollow.”

The Second Ancestor uttered with some pride before turning confused. He did hear the Vacuous Beasts were rather easy to deal with as long as one had enough power from the young ones who had experience in facing the Vacuous Beasts during the Calamity Light.

”These mindless creatures donʼt bother with defending themselves. They rely on pure physical attacks without any thought or strategy. They act solely on their instincts, seeking out a target and attacking relentlessly, even if that target is stronger than them.”

”Itʼs quite different from magical beasts, which have more intelligence and wouldnʼt engage in such reckless behavior unless theyʼre enraged beyond compare, but these creatures… theyʼre just wild and savage, with no finesse or careful planning involved, so you donʼt need to put in much effort to kill them. ”

Davis explained with a solemn expression on his face, ”However, what was easy would not be easy if we do not match their prowess. Fortunately, Ancestors managed to discover their presence before they could destroy cities-”

Abruptly, Davis received a transmission, causing him to take out the secure messaging talisman.

”Davis, the situation is quite alarming.”

”Donʼt tell me the Vacuous Beasts appeared in the Aurora Cloud Gateʼs Domain as well?”

Davisʼs tone turned solemn as he heard Evelynnʼs voice.

”Weʼre not sure, but the sect barrier is up here in the headquarters. Countless defensive formations have also been activated, and Elders and Grand Elders have been mobilized towards the west. I heard from Stella that even the Guardians have made a move.”

”What!? Iʼm coming there right now.” Davis instantly answered, his foot taking a step forward.

”Donʼt! You exiled yourself, remember?”

However, Evelynnʼs message caused him to come to a stop, causing him to reel in embarrassment as he shot himself in the foot.

It wasnʼt like they would arrest him and keep him imprisoned for intruding, but he would like to avoid any sort of brawl with them for the things that they had done for him. He was indebted to them more than he thought for the protection they provided, especially if the matter of the Void Dust Empress helping him was true, which he believed was true, as otherwise, it didnʼt make sense for the powerful Ancestors to stay clear of him.

”If the Guardians have been mobilized, the source must be nearby. Where is it?”

”I donʼt know…”

Evelynn responded to Davisʼs question, causing him to take a deep breath, ”Alright, gather everyone from seclusion and keep them ready. Tell Isabella and the others to protect the children and their sisters. Iʼll be close as I can be. If the sect barrier is broken or is about to be destroyed, instantly inform me.”

”Alright. Myria has come out of seclusion. I will also be vigilant. Moreover, weʼll also use Everlight for communication if messaging talismans stop working.”

Davis nodded.

Everlight was in a concealment formation, similar to the effects of the Karmic Void Zone Technique he created, but it was created by Tia and Mystic Diviner Hailac working together. Ellia had also helped them with the specifics of the formation. Regardless, they all didnʼt want anyone to find Everlight, as her existence was of the utmost importance.

Even if it were not for the enemies, they didnʼt know how Saintess Lunaria would react as she also had a Nine Lives Gracious Fox, but it was not of Emperor-Tier or even King-Tier, while Everlight was an Emperor-Tier Immortal Beast.

Although Saintess Lunaria was someone who gave them shelter, they wouldnʼt go as far as to blindly believe that she would not take an opportunity.

They didnʼt want Everlight taken away, no matter for what purpose it may be, and she also didnʼt want to experience leaving them, agreeing to be in that concealment formation. After all, Davis also took the Nine-Treasured Immortal Ordeal Palace away, so she couldnʼt be in the Nurturing Life Formation as well.

She had shifted her garden to the mansion on their floating island. The formation was the one that impeded him from sending her a transmission connected through the Transitory Beast Taming Pact, but hard times require risky decisions to be made, so he knew Evelynn was going to take her out in case they needed him no matter what.

With that, their conversation came to an end, and Davis kept the messaging talisman back inside.

The Starlight Jade Wolf King, Renfa Jadelight, and Davion Jadelight were curious as he had sound blocked them, disallowing them to hear anything.

Davis didnʼt explain anything other than that he had to go and protect his people since the Vacuous Beasts seemed to have also appeared in the Aurora Cloud Gateʼs region.

The three of them didnʼt say anything to him, leaving. In fact, they even offered help in the form of sending Grand Elders with him. However, Davis denied it. He already had some Grand Elders ready to be sent out because the Obsidian Crystal Turtle Clan had gifted him with security personnel. However, he took out a messaging talisman and instructed them to leave and defend their own clan.

After getting his confirmation that they could leave three times, they were so thankful that they praised him three times for his understanding.

Davis was ready to move out alone- no, with Nadia and Lereza by his side, he felt invincible.

”Trash Emperor of Death! Get out and show your face! Today, the Fire Phoenix Clan will deal with you once and for all!”

”…?”

Davisʼs expression churned.

The Fire Phoenix Clan chose this timing to attack him?

ʼThis must mean that they found out that the Aurora Cloud Gate has gone into a state of emergency… which makes them think the Void Dust Empress wonʼt show up…?ʼ

Davis tried to derive their thought process from their actions as he sensed Level Six Immortal Emperor Stage undulations reverberating outside. Literally, they had sent two of their powerful Ancestors, but if that was just their cultivation, he imagined that Ancestor Reselius wasnʼt here.

The First Ancestor and Second Ancestors silently growled in rage, their expressions furious as they stepped out before anyone did while the Starlight Jade Wolf King followed suit.

The latterʼs expression turned frightening as his King-Tier aura surged.

”Today, Iʼm not in a good mood, so if you want to fight, be prepared to die...”

The Starlight Jade Wolf King extended his hand, causing the palace that he was inside just moments ago to rumble.

It shook with great intensity before it stopped. However-

*Bang!~* *Bang!~* *Bang!~*

The sound of multiple walls breaking could be heard before a giant sword flew out of the palace.

The giant sword flew with an incredible speed and crashed into the Starlight Jade Wolf Kingʼs hand, but it fits in his grasp perfectly well. The giant sword appeared like jade porcelain, as though it was something that would easily break with a swing.

But at a glance, the Fire Phoenix Clanʼs Ancestors knew it seemed to be made out of a body part, the giant fang of a Peak Immortal Emperor Starlight Jade Wolf, instantly recognizing that it was a Legacy Armament of the Starlight Jade Wolf Clan!
