Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 2975 Dining Experience

Three days later, his eyes shot wide open as he heaved a long sigh filled with pleasure as he felt refreshed.

Quickly, he disappeared, appearing inside the Nine-Phoenix Locking Relic.

There, he saw a giant fish- no, a giant scarlet bird that was twitching on the surface as though it was thirsty for water.

Davis gestured to the Nine-Phoenix Locking Relicʼs artifact spirit, causing her to wave her hand.

Patriarch Killian Zenflame disappeared from the chamber of cessation and appeared in the master chamber.

He raised his head with struggle, furiously looking at Davis as his entire body trembled powerlessly.

”Bastard, youʼll pay… for this...”

Davisʼs lips curled as he saw this miserable beast that no longer resembled the majestic phoenix.

”If anything, you have some strong hate that keeps your will from collapsing, but letʼs see...”

*Ripp!~*

”Ahhhhhh!”

Davis flicked his finger, abruptly slicing apart Patriarch Killian Zenflameʼs entire left wing. It spurted out blood in copious amounts as he cried out in pain, screeching like a bird that caused Davisʼs eyes to narrow.

”Donʼt be so noisy…”

*Bang!~*

He kicked Patriarch Killian Zenflameʼs head, sending him flying as he rolled around like a rag doll, and unlike the last time, he didnʼt even try to regain balance, appearing like he had given up as he stayed unmoving.

”If thatʼs how you wanna play… then we have all the time in the world...”

Davis summoned a chair and sat down. He extended his out, and his jade-crimson heavenly wind blade rushed out, cutting a small part of the giant wing before his soul force grabbed it in an instant and brought it towards him.

”You-”

The Nine-Phoenix Locking Relic was just about to complain that he was not holding his end of the promise but then became stunned.

*Sssszzz!~*

Quickly, Davis started to cook as a table was already in front of him while his hands moved to chop some vegetables and the meat he had gathered. Within a few seconds, his soul force had already skinned it with sharp light energy before he cut the flesh into many cubes.

He cooked the meat in a small cauldron, stir-frying the meat along with the vibrant vegetables that released a fantastic fragrance. However, his actions werenʼt limited to creating a stir-fried recipe, soup, dumplings, and a hot pot but also creating the great and unforgettable fried chicken of the modern world.

All of this did not even take five minutes.

”Come, letʼs eat.”

Davis sat on the chair before the table like a true connoisseur as he invited Patriarch Killian Zenflame to the table.

Patriarch Killian Zenflame had already turned back into a human with one of his hands missing and slowly healing as it used up the bodyʼs own vitality. Still, his expression churned with a complete fury that couldnʼt be suppressed as he raised his other hand and waved.

”Die!”

Scarlet flames surged from his body, but before they could even reach halfway, the flames ended up dying, turning into wisps that Davis raised a few dumplings with his chopsticks and soaked as though adding the flavor of nirvana, slowly taking them to his mouth and swallowing it.

”Mhmmm~ Tasty!”

Patriarch Killian Zenflameʼs gaze went red as he pointed at Davis, who seemed to be enjoying this dining moment with him from the bottom of his heart. However, he wanted nothing more than to kill him right now, but no matter how he tried, he couldnʼt exert any strength as all of it was taken away from him, leaving him as dry as a river that had evaporated.

”Pfft!~”

But although he was unable to attack and was dry as an evaporated river, that didnʼt mean his body was able to control the impact of his anger as rage got to him, causing him to spit a whole mouthful of blood continuously three times before he fell to his knees and turned into a giant phoenix again.

But this time, there was no response from him, causing Davis to drink a bowl of Fiery Phoenix Wing Soup before heaving a satisfied sigh that erupted into scarlet flames.

”Many thanks for the meat, Fire Phoenix Clan Patriarch. Your sacrifice will not be in vain.”

*Crunch!~*

Davis didnʼt stop as his teeth sunk into the crispy texture of a fried chicken, causing a burst of spicy taste to fill his mouth. It was completely soft to the point he praised himself for his awesome culinary skills, but glancing at the woman who was looking at him in utter incredulity, he couldnʼt help but ask.

”Want some?”

The Nine-Phoenix Locking Relic shivered as she shook her head. She was enraged, but she didnʼt dare say anything as their promise wasnʼt broken. She only asked them to give a respectful death to Patriarch Killian Zenflame, but she didnʼt state that they couldnʼt cook him.

”Woah…”

Davis was completely mesmerized by this Immortal Emperor Grade Phoenix meat, making him feel it was better than chicken a hundred times. The very thought that this was the accursed flesh belonging to the hateful Patriarch Killian Zenflame didnʼt even flash in his mind, allowing him to only think of his goals- no, the fabulous and exquisite taste of the meat.

His mouth practically watered for it that he quickly finished, cut another big chunk of it, and cooked it.

He momentarily exited, giving food to Nadia and Lereza before re-entering again, only to see his utensils and cooked meat destroyed.

”Oh my… looks like I have to start cooking from scratch once again…”

Davis grinned.

”…”

However, his grin was very evil to someone who turned around and ran.

”Nine-Phoenix Locking Relic, send me into the chamber of cessation!”

He screamed out loud, quickly appearing in the chamber of cessation. However, when he turned to look, he couldnʼt. Instead, he found that the entire right side of his body was missing, causing his body to quiver ever so lightly.

It didnʼt take him much to imagine the Emperor of Death seizing his right wing and thigh, plundering them from him as he had already started to cook again.
