Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 2984 Uncovering Layers

Hearing what Davis said, the Starlight Jade Wolf King momentarily turned confused, along with Davion Jadelight.

However, they saw Renfa Jadelight starting to tremble, causing their gazes to flicker.

”Davis, whatʼs going on?”

Davis glared at Renfa Jadelight before averting his gaze and starting to walk.

”Whatʼs there to hide? During that day, when I took Panqa, Lanqua, Shea, and Yilla as my women, I was drugged with an odorless and potent aphrodisiac by someone, causing me to lay their hands on those four… ravaging them...”

”What!?”

Davis trembled, suppressing his fury while the Starlight Jade Wolf King turned shocked.

Davion Jadelight also had his eyes widen. Just because a Saint was there on the scene, the women went that far?

The two of them instantly understood what Davis was getting at, but they didnʼt dare believe it, their expressions churning with dissatisfaction.

”At that time, I thought of many women being capable of being responsible for this matter. The old vixens throwing me flirtatious glances, the young women who thought that they could charm me easily with their innocence, the cunning Blazing Thunderlight Sectʼs Founder who publicly proposed to me, or even the Celestial Fairies who were present that day...”

Walking in circles around Renfa Jadelight, he continued.

”However, I couldnʼt find anyone who might even remotely have access to my room that was guarded well by the Starlight Jade Wolf Clan among them… that is… if I didnʼt include you...”

Davis came to a stop before Renfa Jadelight, turning to look at her with a detesting gaze while the latter had her head down, appearing to be trembling.

”Brother, I understand this is a grave, punishable offense, as I have also met situations like these, but you canʼt throw accusations just because thereʼs a lack of suspects.”

The Starlight Jade Wolf King intervened with a solemn expression on his face, ”It could be anyone present that day, so let me also help you find the culprit. Iʼll bring those elders who were responsible for guarding you that day.”

Davis didnʼt take his gaze off Renfa Jadelight, ”I appreciate it, but Iʼm talking to her. Why is she remaining silent?”

”Davis, you are young. You must understand that you canʼt attack a virtuous woman like that. I figure sheʼs trembling from anger.”

”…” Davis finally took his gaze off Renfa Jadelight and narrowed his eyes at the Starlight Jade Wolf King.

”Arenʼt you vouching too much for her? Alright, in that case, Iʼd be willing to kneel and apologize if Iʼm wrong.”

”What- no? You donʼt need to-”

”That day… I… I was the one who drugged him…”

A few words were said.

Those words that were let loose were filled with a low yet thundering tone that suddenly made the room freeze, causing the expressions of the men to change.

”I have no excuses for what I have done… deal with me as you will.”

Renfa Jadelight knelt as though she went limp, still having her head lowered.

”You… why…?”

The Starlight Jade Wolf King stared at Renfa Jadelight with wide eyes as he asked, causing her to tremble more.

”The essence of life… from a Saint… I know how important it is to our declining clan...”

”Even then… why did you do this…!?”

”I want to know that myself…!” Renfa Jadelight finally raised her head and shot a tearful gaze at the Starlight Jade Wolf King, ”Have I become insane? I donʼt even know why I even made a move that day… did I want to make the twins pregnant with his child? Or did I want it for myself…? I donʼt know!”

”You-!”

The Starlight Jade Wolf Kingʼs anger flared as he pointed at her, causing Renfa Jadelight to look as though she had lost something as she lowered her head, her gaze turning dull.

”This humiliation… I deserve death… I have betrayed all of your trust...”

She muttered in a low voice, causing the Starlight Jade Wolf King to shudder while Davion Jadelight also looked shaken.

Who was this woman in front of him? She was his great-grandmother-in-law, a being he wouldnʼt even deign to look at romantically, having immense respect for her status and achievements. Her virtuous nature was something everyone in the clan looked up to, yet how could she have done such a thing…? Yet, the words uttered from her mouth proved otherwise.

”…”

Davis had his eyes narrowed as he saw Renfa Jadelight look as though she had lost her will. His Enigmatic Heart Intent was active, but he couldnʼt tell what she was feeling. Her emotions were all over the place. However, he still didnʼt take his cold gaze off, opening his mouth.

”How do you want to die?”

Renfa Jadelight raised her head to look at him, her soulless eyes gaining some light.

”In whichever way you please… but let me just say one thing… I felt nauseous after seeing what I had done that I left without taking anything as you accused me of...”

”Heh!”

Davis coldly chuckled, reaching out his hand.

”You didnʼt steal any of my yang essences…? Thatʼs for me to check… so donʼt resist…”

His hand reached out to her head, inches before her forehead.

But suddenly, his wrist was grabbed by a strong hand, causing Davis to turn to look at the Starlight Jade Wolf King, whose expression was severe.

”You want to stop me…?”

”Stop it… sheʼs my woman…”

The Starlight Jade Wolf King stated, causing Davisʼs eyes to shoot wide as he returned his gaze to Renfa Jadelight.

”Oh… you predicted this to happen and even seduced my sworn brother? Let me guess… you seduced him into bed yesterday night, didnʼt you?”

”What…? No… I…”

Renfa Jadelight suddenly started gasping for breath while, on the other hand, the Starlight Jade Wolf King looked at her in shock.

”You… was all you said yesterday to me… false…?”

”No! Fenren, we became one yesterday. The things I said werenʼt a lie…! My firstbornʼs father was indeed the first inheritor, but he and I shared no feelings… nor did we sleep together…! You were my first man…!”

Renfa Jadelight poured out her emotions as she shed tears. However, the Starlight Jade Wolf King looked shaken, unable to believe what was true anymore.

However, the tremor in his heart directly caused his grip on Davisʼs wrist to loosen.

Davis flicked his arm, causing the Starlight Jade Wolf King to be sent flying while his hand was like a snake, instantly latching onto Renfa Jadelight, whose golden pupils dilated.

”Donʼt resist.”

”Emperor of Death. Stop! We can-”

Davion Jadelight was just about to make a move. After all, the woman in front of him was an important person, an immortal inheritor to their clan if she had done something wrong. However, his vision was suddenly blocked by a purplish-black wing.

Nadia appeared before Davion Jadelight. Her undulations suddenly flaring caused the three wolf-bloodlines present here to be utterly suppressed as the Emperor-Tier aura of Nadia overflowed into the room.

Despite reaching the Immortal Emperor Stage, the Starlight Jade Wolf King felt that he fell slightly short of being able to endure this overwhelming bloodline pressure from Nadia. He had just regained balance, trying to head back to stop Davis, but he saw that his hand was already on Renfa Jadelightʼs head, causing his eyes to turn bloodshot.

”Nooo!”

His furious roar didnʼt even reach Davis as he was already inside Renfa Jadelightʼs memories, watching her childhood days, growing into a teen in a women-only sect, venturing out with her junior sisters to find resources, only to chance upon the Starlight Jade Wolf Immortal Inheritance.
