Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 2745 Aurelia

”Mh~”

The cute little blonde-haired baby hummed adorably as though agreeing with Sophie as she stretched her arms, causing Sophie to shiver excitedly.

The scene between them was so surreal that she couldnʼt believe that she really gave birth to a baby despite having her for nine months. The fulfillment she felt in her life was at its peak, making her feel like she should be eternally grateful to the people around her for supporting her.

Her sisters did occasionally visit her when they exited seclusion, treating her to nurturing food and many other things, so she did give birth to a healthy baby whose bloodline was also extremely concentrated.

”Dear, how powerful would she grow? Would she be fine?”

Instantly, Sophie began worrying about her future, causing Davis to lightly laugh and pat Sophieʼs head.

”Donʼt worry. Our child inherited your tenacity and my pure bloodline tempered by my chaotic energy. If anything, she might grow stronger than us as long as she devotes her life to cultivation but forget that. All I want for my children is to be happy. They can cultivate but not overdo it, becoming miserable in the process. After all, I realized that thereʼs way more to life than reaching the peak or standing above all.”

Davis caressed Sophieʼs cheek, looking into her eyes as he made her mesmerized.

Nonetheless, Davis glanced down to look at his child, slightly moving the cloth away from her head while gazing at the faint azure flame mark that seemed to be etched on her forehead. At first, he thought Sophie was creative and gave her child a hereditary look, but later on, he was shocked to learn that she didnʼt do that.

It was unknown what it was that even Ellia couldnʼt tell what it was, but she said that it displayed the signs of a physique that had yet to mature, leaving them dumbfounded yet overjoyed.

This was also the reason Sophie asked that kind of question, full of expectations for the future of their daughter, but he told her that such expectations werenʼt necessary.

”Wahh!~”

Abruptly, the adorable life between them started crying, causing them to smile at each other before they spent more time together.

Before long, Davis took out his status plate.

The status plate had many functions stored within it, and one of them was to record his soul fluctuations. His status plate was cracked slightly, indicating that he died but still worked. Moreover, the life jade inside his room had thoroughly cracked, making it so that the copy of the life jade left in the Jade Hall also cracked or vice versa. Still, a cracked life jade meant that his mansion would be locked.

However, because he had given the mansionʼs control to Evelynn, who was also a true disciple of the Aurora Cloud Gate, the mansion was still open and was not locked.

This was one of the perks of marriage.

If not, after the authorities came to perform his last rites, they might lock the residence or send his people away after they have lived here for a certain amount of time, but considering that he earned so many contribution points, it wouldnʼt be until thousands of years that they would be sent out of the Aurora Cloud Gate.

This was one of the things he liked about the sect. They were completely organized and responsible for almost everything.

Nonetheless...

”By now... I wonder how much chaos has ensued outside...?”

Davis was curious, causing him to smile. However, he still didnʼt leave. Instead, he invited his two other adorable children, Eterna and Celestia, and showed them their younger sister, causing them to be full of curiosity and giggles as they kept teasing the baby over, trying to see her reactions.

The place was full of love and vibrancy, causing Davis to smile like a fool as he enjoyed his time with his family.

But outside, it was really as he expected. The commotion before the island became an uproar!

”What!?”

”It canʼt be...”

”No way...”

Threelotus, Captain Praezen, and the others looked at Yotan with a look of disbelief.

”I saw it... his lifeless body...”

Yotanʼs expression was stiff. She had just announced that the Emperor of Death had indeed died in seclusion, causing the immortal disciples waiting outside to be full of shock, instantly causing a clamor.

”Hahaha. I told you. A Divergent wouldnʼt be able to live that long...”

”Bastard, you dare be disrespectful to him? He saved us all in the Mercurial Blitz Ice Valley!”

”Peh~ That kind of icy calamity was because of him and Divergent Myria in the first place. Since they brought it on us, they should be the ones to save us.”

”You-!”

Boisterous conversations were going on without regard, causing Yotanʼs expression to twitch. However, she didnʼt care about their words and instead tried to think why the Legion Master took this option over being alive.

Shortly, this news spread like wildfire and even reached the ears of a white-robed Immortal King woman who was in seclusion.

”Ellia, whatʼs going on? There are rumors spreading that his life jade is broken and that heʼs dead.”

Myria held a messaging talisman over her palm, her white brows possessing a frown.

After a pause, a single word echoed out, ”Yes.”

”What do you mean?” Myriaʼs expression creased.

”Elder sister... he... he... wahh~”

Abruptly, the messaging talisman lost its glow, causing Myria to become stunned as she blinked.

”Ellia...? Ellia...??”

She called out, but there was no response, causing her heart to sink.

She stood up and pushed away Bing Luli, whose expression was similarly in disbelief. She was the one who informed Myria of this rumor, thinking that it was absurd but was still alarming enough to disturb oneʼs seclusion.

Shortly, they both appeared before Davisʼs mansion, quickly entering the Nine-Treasured Immortal Ordeal Palace that carried them here into the First Haven World.

The first thing they noticed was naturally the altar and the pale body lying above it, causing Myria to be stunned. Her eyes went wide upon witnessing the corpse of a familiar man that she knew all too well, causing her heart to shudder.

However, she saw the people behind the altar, looking happy-go-lucky as they played with a few kids, making her blink again. Her gaze was especially on the purple-robed man who carried the baby in his embrace with utter gentleness, not at all looking like the Emperor of Death.

”Elder sister... look at him... heʼs not allowing me to carry the baby~ Wahh~”

Ellia cried out, but her acting couldnʼt be any more fake, causing Myria to glare at her like she was going to kill someone.

Eventually, she heaved a gentle sigh, turning to look at Davis and then the corpse, not able to make out what had happened. Nonetheless, her gaze returned to him as she appeared before the corpse, starting to use her soul sense to investigate.

”Youʼre ridiculous. Your contribution points shouldʼve increased as the rankings had reset, so go buy resources instead of acting dead.”

”That can wait... For now, I need to know... how exactly you were exposed.”

Davis stood up, giving the baby to Ellia as he turned to look at Bing Luli.

”Did you show up outside?”

His voice echoed in a harsh tone, causing Bing Luli to shudder as she lowered her head.

”I swear... I never left the mansion, not even once...”

Davis walked to her, extending out his hand to lift her chin up, only to see her teary eyes, which caused his expression to change ever so lightly.
