Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 2725 Re-Seclusion

After a while, Davis and the others returned to their island and made themselves comfortable in their mansion.

But before they returned, they browsed around Treasure Island, hoping to see some treasures that caught their eyes, and indeed, they found some treasures that were rare to obtain and not exactly valuable enough to keep in the Treasury since they were obtained by disciples on their adventures but didnʼt trade with the sect to keep them on the Treasury since it was already available in plenty.

They traded it for Mid-Level Immortal Crystals.

How? Because they also traded some contribution points for an enormous sum of Mid-Level Immortal Crystals. Each contribution point they sold went for five times the price, meaning for every contribution point, they received ten Mid-Level Immortal Crystals.

After all, going by the exchange rate from a disciple to the Aurora Cloud Gate, the ratio was one to two.

As Davis sold about a hundred million contribution points to the other disciples, they were sitting on a billion Mid-Level Immortal Crystals, making them vastly rich enough to buy almost anything within the Mid Immortal King Grade.

But by this calculation, Davis should be able to exchange for more contribution points, exchanging the billion Mid-Level Immortal Crystals for five hundred million contribution points to the sect. However, this didnʼt happen as there was a limit on the number of contribution points that could be exchanged to the sect for immortal crystals.

Otherwise, wouldnʼt this system be abused?

The disciples could only exchange immortal crystals for contribution points based on their status, wage, and ranking, each differing in their own way.

It was the same way how he didnʼt receive double the contribution points when he shouldʼve received double because he was a Divergent, all because he hadnʼt completed the mission alone. Everything had a limitation or a condition to make sure the economy here could prosper and not collapse, making Davis rather approve of the way the sect handled things.

He felt that the Aurora Cloud Gate sure knew how to stay afloat and make a huge profit while at the same time rewarding disciples better than any sect could do.

After obtaining so many Mid-Level Immortal Crystals, not only would it help the magical beasts in his family, like Nadia, Everlight, Mira, Freya, Katherine, and a few other beasts owned by the Reaper Soul Legion, improve faster, but it would also help them possess deep changes in their pockets to procure resources if they ever eyed one.

After all, auctions were also a thing here.

Moreover, they needed fuel to power the Temporal Formation in the Nine-Treasured Immortal Ordeal Palace, making it so that they needed an enormous amount of Mid-Level Immortal Crystals to power it.

Why? Because Immortal King existences like Tanya and Nadia were present, the immortal crystals needed became Mid-Level Immortal Crystals. Besides, since most of them were already at the Immortal King realm in prowess, Lereza informed them that the one million Low-Level Immortal Crystals used to power the Temporal Formation was almost empty when by normal standards, it shouldʼve been able to last ten years in real-time, but it couldnʼt even keep up for a year.

Davis quickly handed over Lereza a hundred million Mid-Level Immortal Crystals to power the Temporal Formation for a hundred years. Such a jump in usage rate made him cry, but he understood Lerezaʼs reasoning, that the energy required to maintain a stable space in a time-speeding area for higher-level entities was enormous.

However, he wasnʼt completely disheartened. After all, with the increase in their cultivation, their spending was also bound to increase, which meant he could see they were steadily making immense progress!

After shopping for treasures, they were completely out of contribution points, so they had to wait for the month to end before they could do anything else. Otherwise, they could only rely on Myria, who has yet to use her contribution points since she was almost assassinated and forced to leave, but they were not going to ask her as they already felt indebted to her.

Fortunately, Davis had returned the debt to her, so there was no longer a need to feel poor anymore.

Nonetheless, they didnʼt need contribution points at the moment as each and everyone was able to acquire resources that would help their cultivation.

After spending some time dining, Davis watched his women leave one by one to enter seclusion.

Even Mystic Diviner Hailac was brought away by Tia to eagerly learn the mystical divination arts.

Davis saw that Mystic Diviner Hailac was also present and was privy to a few things they discussed, but still, she didnʼt know anything secretive, nor did she dare to ask, causing him to approve of the way she handled things. Still, he watched her leave, focusing his gaze on her for more time than needed that a hand came before his gaze and shook him out of his reverie.

”Interested?”

Davis simply smiled and shook his head at Isabella, who giggled, seemingly ready to serve a Mystic Diviner Hailac on a platter to him.

He spent a bit more time with them, telling them again it was probably the last day he could spend time with everyone together.

But before Davis could say anything to Zestria, she had already excused herself to seclusion. To be concerned about him and give him space to move freely even though he said he would choose her next, he felt heartened, making him want her more but at the same time, feeling that he didnʼt deserve them all at once, there was a slight ache in his heart.

He was like a monkey who kept gathering food when it was given to him, but his hands werenʼt that big to fit it all at once, so he could only drop them once before collecting them, which made him feel like crap.

Still, he wanted them all and wanted to see them smile at the end of the day. Thinking like this, he hardened his heart to cultivate now so that they could be alive to share happiness later.

If Immortal Emperors attacking him had made him more highly cautious, then the attempt to assassinate Myria in the Treasury of the Aurora Cloud Gate, one of the most important and secure locations in the Aurora Cloud Gate, to be exact, had caused him to completely abandon any ideas of entertaining himself through sexual fulfillment or experience happiness in his heart any more.

ʼSurvival should be our top priority from now on...ʼ He steeled his heart.

However, his brows narrowed, wondering if he could adhere to his own thoughts. After all, people need to be passionate about something in order to concentrate and move forward. If he was too survival-oriented and forgot about his peopleʼs feelings, then internal collapse would be imminent.

There always needed to be a balance in everything one did, so he was not sure if he would adhere to it completely.

Nonetheless, he looked at the ones remaining, his gaze panning over Evelynn, Sophie, Niera, Schleya, and Clara.

”Evelynn, Niera and Sophie. Although none of you have high-risk pregnancies, as youʼre all brimming with vitality, take care of yourselves and donʼt cultivate too hard. Remember, you are on your path to becoming mothers now, so prioritize our children over me or cultivation.”

Davis spoke solemnly, causing Evelynn and the others to smile.

”We understand. Iʼll stop cultivating as soon as I feel that itʼs uncomfortable and switch to comprehending Laws.”

”Right.” Niera elegantly nodded while Sophie giggled, ”Donʼt worry, darling.”

”Weʼll give you three healthy and strong children who will haunt you, not even allowing you to take rest.”

Davis couldnʼt help but chuckle at them. He was sure these three were the happiest women in his family right now. However, he could also tell that they didnʼt want to rest lest they be outstripped in cultivation and prove to be useless, making them feel a sense of urgency within them to increase their cultivation and comprehension as much as possible.

Still, he trusted them to know when to take care of themselves.

”Evelynn, did you find a method to seal foreign influence on a soul?”

He continued to ask but through soul transmission, causing Evelynn to become solemn as she turned to glance at Clara before responding.

”Iʼm still researching, husband. Iʼll prioritize it during rest.”

”Alright.” Davis nodded, knowing that would be a good thing to do than cultivating or comprehending Laws during pregnancy.

After all, it would be just researching some texts from the Aurora Cloud Gateʼs library.

Soon, Evelynn, Sophie, and Niera also left. Patting his thighs, Davis stood up.

”Clara... wait for a few minutes here. Itʼs time for you to break through and catch up with the rest of us.”

His approval came suddenly, causing Clara, who was seated there silently like an ice statue, to blink in shock.

”Are you sure, brother?”

”Yes, we have become strong enough to seal your cultivation in case you go ʼIʼm the heavenʼs warriorʼ and start attacking us.”

Davis spread his hands, looking high and above everything as though he was a heavenʼs warrior.

Clara couldnʼt help but crack a light smile at his impersonation of her, ”Where are you going?”

”To meet my lovely Eterna and Celestia, of course. I heard that they were playing in the inner courtyard.”

”Then Iʼm coming too.”

”Alright.” Davis nodded, ”Schleya, you come with me too. I have some errands for you.”

”Anything, my liege.”

Davis momentarily came to a stop as he blinked at the way Schleya addressed him but didnʼt make a topic out of it as he brought her and Clara to the inner courtyard.

*Boom!~*

As soon as he arrived at the entrance to the inner courtyard, he heard the sound of an explosion, causing his expression to sink before he shot forwards, appearing in the midst of a clash between...

”Eh?” His expression changed again, but this time, his pupils reflected a flaming three-year-old getting punched back by another three-year-old with a golden aura.

They suddenly came to a stop, appearing stunned at his appearance before the red-haired three-year-old cried out.

”Wahhh~ Papa~ Celestia hit me...!”

Eterna came running off to him, tears flooding her eyes as she pounced toward him.
