Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 2712 Flung Around

Davisʼs expression fell as he heard that Grand Elderʼs firm voice.

Was this a diversion tactic created by both the Fire Phoenix Clan and the Godwin Family? They were in cahoots now?

He felt that it was not possible, considering that the Fire Phoenix Clan didnʼt want to offend the Aurora Cloud Gate, and that was why they went far as to ʼleaseʼ Shirley to him until the Candidacy.

He imagined that they went after Flamerose, not knowing that he would protect her so they didnʼt try to offend him in truth. Things simply didnʼt make sense to him, causing him to become confused.

But at this moment, such things didnʼt matter as his mind hurriedly spun to come up with a plan to leave this place.

It was unknown how long Tanyaʼs palace could hold out against the Immortal Emperors outside as they could be lacking in High-Level Immortal Crystals to fuel the construct, especially against that Grand Elder, who seemed to exude more authority than the others.

For all they knew, that person could very well be a Mid Stage Immortal Emperor existence!

”Fine, Iʼll release them.”

”Good!”

Davis clenched his teeth and answered, causing the Grand Elders to respond with appreciation as smiles were etched all over their faces.

”...” Mistress Yeyin stared at him and abruptly reached out her hand towards the life ring he held.

However, Davis quickly stepped back and moved his hand away, causing Mistress Yeyin to wave her hand.

Icy undulations spread, wanting to freeze Davis over in place, but then a wave of another undulation struck it, causing Mistress Yeyin to retreat as she stumbled across from Tanyaʼs quick defensive action.

”I trusted you...” Her frosty eyes were affixed to him, glaring at him with hate.

”Now you are interested in saving your half-sister when you could care less before? My life is more important.”

Davis sneered, causing Mistress Yeyinʼs expression to freeze. She was unable to believe that he had surrendered, but the sight in front of her eyes said that was the case as she watched him scoff and turn to look at the Grand Elders.

”Grand Elders of the Fire Phoenix Clan. We have just reached a consensus, and Iʼm not foolish enough to cause our frail relationship to collapse. Iʼll release them but for our safety, you can only choose one. The other will be released after we make it back to the sect. Are we clear?”

”...”

The Grand Elders looked at each other before the one in the center nodded his head.

”Release Zahara. She is a woman, so no one should sully her name by keeping her locked any longer.”

”What a good reason.” Davisʼs eyes went wide as he smiled, ”Indeed, no one should sully her name, so Iʼm going to hand it over to the authorities back in the sect.”

”Davis Alstreim! Youʼre going too far!”

*Bzzz!~*

The Immortal Emperors unleashed their undulations, causing nothing to happen to them, but the space outside began distorting and revolving as though becoming unstable. Their innate fire-natured energy was causing the space to distort from the sheer heat it was experiencing at the moment.

However, Davis instantly turned to look at the person who was ignored.

”Rai Zenflame, did you hear that? They donʼt want you.”

”Grand Elders! Save me...!”

Rai Zenflame screamed out loud, his voice appearing miserable and full of pleading. His words made the Grand Eldersʼ expressions turn unsightly.

”Sigh, since no one wants you, Iʼll release you first as I pity you.”

”Davis Alstreim, release Zahara and keep him. During an exchange, itʼs always the women who should be exchanged first. Donʼt tell me you donʼt know this etiquette?”

”Grand Elder!-”

”Shut up! Give us Zahara right now!”

Rai Zenflame became stunned, his heart sinking to the depths of solitude. The clan that he thought of as his home was going to abandon him for a mere woman who was less talented than him? Was that because she was truly the fifth inheritor?

He was confused beyond compare, not knowing what was going on anymore.

”Donʼt worry, Rai. Weʼll release you first.”

But at this moment, Davis gestured with utter seriousness as though comforting him, causing Rai Zenflame to be stunned.

He blinked before he saw Davis waving his hand, ”Tanya, release him.”

Tanya nodded and flicked her sleeves, abruptly causing Rai Zenflame to stiffen.

*Bang!~*

The icy sword that impaled him exploded, causing his body to turn into burst into many pieces of flesh and paint the doors, walls, and floor in crimson.

”...”

Mistress Yeyin was stunned looking at this scene before she slowly turned to look at Davis. He looked like he was finding it difficult to conceal a smile.

”Davis Alstreim...” A furious yet suppressed voice resounded through the region, causing Mistress Yeyin to feel a cold chill.

But on the other hand, Davis shrugged.

”I meant that I will release him from the world, though? Did we have a slight misunderstanding?”

Davisʼs voice became apologetic as he continued, ”Iʼm sorry. Iʼll be clear next time, so let us go.”

”Die!”

”Tanya!”

Davisʼs pupils dilated as he yelled out, but even if he yelled, Tanyaʼs hands were already on the move, the defensive measures of the floating palace abruptly appearing over the walls on the outside as it became encased in ice and icy flames lighting up all over it.

*Booom!!!~*

A huge sun exploded on the palace as scarlet flames enveloped the floating palace, sending it plunging into the ground.

*Boom!~*

The floating palace hit the ground, creating a massive crater that extended to thousands of kilometers wide and hundreds of kilometers deep. But as the scarlet flames encasing the floating palace like a sun cleared, one could see that it was still safe without enduring any damage whatsoever, ice still encased around it, seemingly burning with iciness.

But inside, Davis and the other spat a mouthful of blood from the impact.

”Husband!”

”Iʼm fine. Thanks- pui!”

Davis coughed out blood a second time, a third, and a fourth before he finally controlled the pressure that was crushing his body.

Surrounding them was a defensive formation that cushioned the impact, but despite that, Davis was wounded quite a bit and turning to look at Mistress Yeyin, he saw that she was wounded heavily with having her bones crushed and bleeding at some place as though her skin was cracked, appearing barely able to move as blood leaked out from her lips.

”Sorry...” Davis instantly felt guilty, but he felt he had no other choice.

Either do what he did or hand over Flamerose. Obviously, he wasnʼt going to take the other choice, and he didnʼt think he could stall for any longer either, causing him to instantly decide on Rai Zenflameʼs death.

”How long will it... last?”

”If this the power, then with the current capacity, twenty or so times is the limit...”

*Boom!~*

Just as Tanya answered Davis, another huge scarlet ball of flames hit them!

*Pui!~*

It caused Davis and Mistress Yeyin to be flung again as their internal organs crazily shook, and their bones cracked all over their bodies. However, expecting this to happen, Tanya used more of her Immortal King energy to cover them, causing her to cough out blood for the first time as she neglected some of her own defense.

This attack was even more powerful than the last as it was a combined attack by the five Grand Elders, causing Tanyaʼs expression to quiver as she realized that there was only enough energy for the palace to withstand nine or ten attacks.

*Bzzz!~*

The undulations of the third attack were storming all over the area, causing Tanya to be able to feel it quite well as her senses were connected with the palace. She clenched her teeth, bracing for the next attack as she watched a furious sun light up the skies and fall towards them.

*Boom!~*

However, it exploded halfway, causing Tanya to be stunned as she sensed two individuals appear before her palace.

”Sigh... Iʼm not the only elder in the Aurora Cloud Gate, you know?”

”But youʼre the only one I know who is strong and brave, Elder Aradiel Furiose~”

A man with white hair, wearing a black robe, stood alongside a white-robed beauty who sang enthusiastically as she praised him.

Tanya and the others became stunned as they recognized the womanʼs voice.

Davisʼs expression twitched as he lay on the ground inside the palace, his mouth twitching as blood spurted every now and then as his organs were ruptured.

”Weʼre saved...”

He couldnʼt help but wryly chuckle at the sudden appearance of the Ice Phoenix Matriarch along with Elder Aradiel Furiose, becoming amused at the timing of all this happening.

After all, he had contacted Nadia through their soul connection to bring the sectʼs elders to them, no matter who may be available as they were running out of time, but never did he expect Cyclonis Blizzara to have done that while following them!

In essence, Cyclonis Blizzara had saved them even if it was done unwittingly because it would take time, around a minute, for the elders to appear here, even on short notice! By the time Nadia informed and the elders stepped outside, it was more likely the palace would be broken open, and they would already be turned into ashes.

But thinking that his gamble paid off, Davis couldnʼt help but continue to laugh lightly amidst the bubbling blood that filled his mouth, making him appear rather miserable yet bold and cocky.
