Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 2730 Probing Moves?

The slicing pitch-black blade caused the cave to shudder, but it didnʼt crack nor break, enduring better than Davis thought it could under the terrifying wave of death energy that caused Deathseekerʼs expression to flicker.

However, Davisʼs eyes widened as he saw Deathseeker raise his arm and touch his wave of death energy with his bare ends, causing it to stop in place.

”...!”

Davis became shocked, never having seen his Heaven Cleaving Abyss stopped in this manner. The eerie thing was that there was no sound even after the clash, causing him to take a step backward and disappear.

”So youʼre an Immortal Emperor already...”

Davisʼs voice resounded around the cave as though he was everywhere. He maneuvered around in that short moment using Hateless Ghost Emperor Steps when Deathseeker clenched his palm and broke the Heaven Cleaving Abyss with ease, his lips curling into a smile as he turned to look towards an empty space.

”Not bad. Your usage of Hateless Ghost Emperor Steps is almost perfect at your level.”

Davisʼs expression fell, knowing that he was quickly found but not that he expected to remain concealed in front of an Immortal Emperor who was perceptive to death energy in the first place.

*Bzzz!~*

A wave of lightning arced over and filled the space, causing Deathseeker to be webbed in by black-silver lightning that ricocheted around him. However, if one looked closely, one could see he was not even trying to defend himself, but the mere pressure he emanated caused the lightning to bounce or arc past him and never hit him.

”Is that heavenly lightning? How cute.”

Deathseeker chuckled, causing Davis to inwardly sigh, knowing that his Level Seven Immortal Stage cultivation base couldnʼt possibly match his own Level Eight Immortal Soul Stage cultivation base that he recently improved just before coming here, so there was no way it could cause Deathseeker harm, much less near him.

Instantly, he abandoned the thought of using firestorm while attacking him using his normal cultivation base, so he continued to use his soul force, surging with an unnerving force gathering at the center of his palm.

His palm became pitch-black like a demonʼs from the underworld before he unleashed it directly toward Deathseekerʼs face.

”Death Fiendʼs Palm!”

Along with his echo shot forward a terrifying palm.

However, Deathseeker merely waved his hand, causing the Death Fiendʼs Palm to dissipate in an instant.

*Bzzz!~*

Immortal Emperor undulations shot towards Davis, intending to crush him.

Davis felt locked in space even before the pressure arrived. His expression sank, and his senses screamed danger, making him feel like he was going to die, but the pressure suddenly became light and brushed over him, causing his squinted eyes to open and see a lovely pink-robed woman stand in front of him, shielding him from all that deathly pressure.

”Who are you?”

Deathseekerʼs eyes narrowed as he saw the pink-robed woman float in front of Davis as she sat on a white cloud, completely undisturbed by his death energy. He saw her exquisite beauty behind her pink veil, not to mention that her curves also appeared bountiful, practically heaving as the cloud slightly swayed every second.

However, that did nothing to him as he demanded an answer from the woman, not recognizing her from the roster of elders he had investigated from the Aurora Cloud Gate.

”You can call me Spirit Fairy Lereza~”

Lereza chuckled, seemingly enjoying this situation as she waved her hand. Abruptly, a green patch of gaseous dust emerged from the tip of her finger, filling the cave in an instant.

”...!”

The next moment, the deathly energy filling the cave was seemingly extinguished, causing Deathseeker to widen his eyes.

Davis also blinked in shock as his jaws lightly dropped, not expecting Lereza to be this strong.

”Wood Laws...? At such a high level...?”

Deathseeker glared at Lereza as the abyssal vortexes in his eyes spun faster. He appeared like he wanted to see through her true strength, but no matter how he tried, he saw that this pink-robed woman called Spirit Fairy Lereza was still at Level Nine Immortal King Stage.

Moreover, he could also sense dragon aura emanating from her, one that was suppressive towards all creatures.

Still, it was obvious because she had a dragon horn that twisted to the back of her head, but she proclaimed herself to be a Spirit Fairy, making him confused.

Was she a mixed lifeform? But what lifeforms? He couldnʼt tell.

Nonetheless, realizing the other party in front of him was a heavenly genius, his lips curled as he couldnʼt help but chuckle.

”Brat, you have such a guardian? It was no wonder you were not afraid of me.”

”Thatʼs right.” Lereza smiled, ”I heard you were harassing my young master. Would you tell the real reason, or do you want to die by my hands?”

”Hehe. You want to kill me? Iʼd like to see if youʼre truly capable.”

Deathseeker grinned, about to take a step forward, when suddenly a solemn voice echoed.

”Enough. I brought Lereza here because I wanted to be on the safer side. If youʼre going to battle to the death, Iʼd rather call the elders to take care of you.”

Davis made an annoyed expression, causing Deathseekerʼs expression to change.

”Ah, my disciple. Donʼt be such a spoilsport. Donʼt we all live to battle and experience the exhilarating-”

”Yes, but I donʼt like it at the level you do.” Davis cut his sentence short, waving his hand, ”Now state whatever you have in mind. Iʼd like to return and cultivate so that I can grow really strong, and I mean, really... really strong.”

Deathseekerʼs expression flickered, ”Iʼm also really interested to see what you have in mind, but I guess Iʼm the master here. Very well, I will concede.”

He sighed, appearing to have a gentle smile, ”First, here is my gift to show my sincerity since the last one seemed to have not caught your heart.”

Deathseeker waved his hand, and a fiery silhouette appeared in the air.

”AHHHH!!!!! Save me!!!!”

It released Level Nine Immortal King undulations as it tried to flee, but Lereza reached out her hand and caught it before it could escape.

”...?”

Her first thought was that it was a pill manifestation, but clearly sensing the Fire Phoenix aura from it, she couldnʼt help but blink.

”Rai Zenflame...”

Davis clenched his fist, and his expression turned crazy as he sensed Rai Zenflameʼs aura stemming from that soul. His body began to tremble, death energy seeping out his body in droves as they manifested into a scythe.

”Yes... thatʼs the kind of intent I wanted to see on your face...”

Deathseekerʼs gentle smile also became crazed on sensing the blazing killing intent emerging from his disciple. Didnʼt enjoy battling as much as he did? But now it looks like his disciple enjoyed torturing other people just as much as he did.
