Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 2711 Demanded To Return

Mistress Yeyin frowned heavily. She couldnʼt help but take a look at the life ring that Davis held in his grasp, wondering if Zahara was safe. It belonged to Tegon Zenflame, so she imagined that it would be difficult to go inside.

Nonetheless, she gazed at him, wanting to know the decision he would make.

Give up Zahara? She didnʼt think he would do it if he went this far for them, but a hint of doubt couldnʼt help but frost her heart.

”Can the palace hold out?”

”I donʼt know.” Tanya frowned at Davisʼs question sent through soul transmission, ”Itʼs definitely capable of handling Early Immortal Emperor Grade attacks, but further above, Iʼm not sure. We donʼt know their capability.”

”Right….”

Davis wryly smiled, ”Establish a projection to the outside. Weʼll stall for time.”

Tanya nodded.

She used the core of the palace within the palm to control the formations, so she was in control of hundreds of formations that made up the palace a safe haven. Like the killing formation, there was also a defensive formation, not to mention a formation that could allow them to see long distances and one that would project their figures to the outside and project the figures outside to the inside.

These were normal formations that would come with every construct. Quickly, five crimson-robed elders appeared in their view within the palace.

Outside, it was the same. Their figures appeared before the elders, including the sight that let them see the miserable figure of Rai Zenflame.

”Young Emperor of Death, we have chosen to compromise with you over our fourth inheritor Shirley but not only did you harm Rai Zenflame, who had gifted you to show the sincerity of the calm, but you also want to kidnap Zahara as well? Thereʼs a limit to how willful you can be, so we have no choice but to believe that youʼre bringing calamity to us in this way.”

”Why are you doing this to us? We have all the right to retaliate!”

Instantly accusations were hurled at Davis, causing him to blink as he saw the elders claiming themselves to be the victims. Although he was stunned by their shameless faces for a moment, he really couldnʼt help but think.

Was he really being that bad to the Fire Phoenix Clan?

Perhaps…

However, he was more worried about Flameroseʼs well-being and her unofficial identity as an inheritor. Because she was an anomaly, rules could be broken, making him feel like the Fire Phoenix Clan could take advantage of her in any way possible.

After all, they were treating Shirley like she was theirs, not at all paying attention to her words, and only gave in when he proved himself to be a tough target under the Aurora Cloud Gate, and their inheritors stepped in to mediate.

Therefore, not even for a moment was he naive enough to think that they would welcome Flamerose with open arms and give her full protection. Instead, he imagined that they would take advantage of her since her existence was not known to the public.

Davisʼs eyes narrowed as he gestured to Tanya by flicking his head lightly.

”Ahhh! No! Grand Elders, save me!”

Rai Zenflame screamed miserably as Tanya instantly used the killing formation on him again. Hundreds of icy swords slashed at him, causing him to shed a lot of blood again. He appeared to act like air between Davis and the Grand Elders, but he was quickly brought into the topic and made an example out of.

He was free to move and retaliate, but if he did so, he was afraid that he would be killed in an instant as the killing formation completely had him locked in place.

”You-! Davis Alstreim! Stop!”

”This is your last warning! Let them go…!”

”Donʼt make us make a move and worsen the relationship.”

The Grand Elders of the Fire Phoenix Clan yelled at Davis, but Davis had his eyes on the screaming Rai Zenflame.

”If you want to survive, talk. Otherwise, it would be too late, as even if they managed to break in, you would be dead without a doubt.”

He snapped his fingers, causing Tanya to wave her hand, and instantly, all four of his limbers were severed from Rai Zenflameʼs body!

”AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!”

He let out a miserable scream, unable to handle the intense pain, and because the damaged locations somehow didnʼt frost over but burned like hell, his eyes turned bloodshot.

”She… sheʼs the fifth inheritor!!! Ahhh! Stop! Save me…”

Rai Zenflame groaned as he felt his muscles twitching and reeling in pain, making him feel like he was going to throw up in his own pool of blood.

On the other hand, Davisʼs lips curled, ʼSo the Fire Phoenix Clan knew of this and gave the command to kidnap Zahara forcefully...ʼ

He reached out his hand and patted Tanyaʼs shoulder lightly as he turned to look at the Grand Elders.

Tanyaʼs torture methods werenʼt sophisticated, but sometimes, pain that would induce the fear of death alone was enough. Her actions contained sharpness and the intent to kill without hesitation, making him feel proud of her as he knew that was why Rai Zenflame folded.

”So Zaharaʼs the fifth inheritor? Is that why you people kidnapped her?”

”What are you saying?”

”Thereʼs no such thing as the fifth inheritor. There are only four or fewer inheritors for all powers involved in the Candidacy, and it is common knowledge.”

”Zahara is an important individual of the Fire Phoenix Clan. She was strong enough to be considered a Clan Mistress candidate, so for you not to let us get her back is blasphemous.”

The Grand Elders quickly retorted to his question, denying that Zahara was the fifth inheritor, causing Davis to scoff.

”Then why did you people not go through official channels?”

”That is…” A Grand Elder opened his mouth, but someone else quickly interrupted.

”Thatʼs because of your Aurora Cloud Gate that wouldnʼt let us get our disciples back. For a superior individual like Zahara, we must bring her back as soon as possible and nurture her in these tumultuous times. You who possess two characters who are involved in the Candidacy should know what it must be like for the powers to prepare them.”

”Woah, I must agree with you on that.” Davis was surprised that they had some convincing ability.

He did indeed feel from time to time that preparing Isabella, Shirley, and even Evelynn for the worse was no easy task but as expected of old fogies. They knew how to deal with a situation as they made use of his sympathy and understanding.

”Then let us have them back. Weʼll send an official apology letter to you and the Aurora Cloud Gate for the trouble we have caused.”

That Grand Elderʼs voice became gentle, causing Davis to sigh.

”I understand. Please wait for a while as I must ask Zahara her opinion, but for that, we need Tegon Zenflame to retract his control over the life ring.”

Tegon Zenflame became stunned. He was standing behind the Grand Elders, afraid of what would happen, and suddenly, his name was brought into the conversation. He looked at the elders, wondering what he should do while the others possessed difficult expressions on their faces.

”Enough.”

Suddenly, a Grand Elder, who was silent all this time out of the five Grand Elders, opened his mouth as a firm voice echoed out with authority.

”Quit stalling for time. The Godwin Family is attacking the western end of this Domain in retaliation at this moment, so your Aurora Cloud Gate Elders wonʼt be coming to your rescue.”

”…!?”

Tanya and Mistress Yeyin became stunned.

Western end…? That was the complete opposite of where he was currently present, causing not only theirs but also Davisʼs heart to sink.
