Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 2724 Crazy Woman?

The time spent in the Treasury didnʼt last long before Davis and Myria were sent outside.

However, there was only one person with them, and that was Ellia.

There was no sign of Bing Luli or her corpse, causing people to believe that she was indeed dead.

”Sect Master…”

Mu Bing and the three beautiful elders were shaken. They couldnʼt believe that their Sect Master had truly died.

”Myria, you go back to the island and take rest. Tanya will accompany you so that you donʼt get killed halfway.”

Davis brought Tanya and instructed Myria in a heavy tone as though consoling yet mocking her at the same time, causing numerous people to hit their foreheads.

Is that the way to console a beauty?

Seeing Fairy Myria turn to glare at him, they were even more convinced by their own thoughts that he screwed up.

Myria did indeed turn to glare at him, but it was for another reason. Even though she didnʼt want to hide Bing Luli and openly display her power as whatever happened, she was willing to storm through it but unexpectedly, Bing Luli accepted Davisʼs words without hesitation and decided to stay on the island, leaving her no room for denying his words.

She turned to look at Tanya and then refocused on Davis, her eyes narrowing a bit as though she smiled.

”Iʼve troubled you two.”

Davis blinked but still pushed Tanya to take the lead. On the other hand, Tanya felt her cheeks become warm. At this close distance, she knew that Myria could smell the sensual aroma wafting off of them.

They were caught.

Nonetheless, she did as Davis told her and brought Myria away. Although she was weaker than Myria at the moment as the other party had entered the Immortal King Stage, she still had a palace construct to defend herself while Myria lacked such a thing.

They could buy it from the Treasury, but such a treasure was truly expensive for them.

As for the Gatekeepers, they were protectors of the Treasury and would not step out unless absolutely necessary. They didnʼt show any interest in protecting Myria even though they knelt before her.

This made Davis think that their respect was not shown to Myria but to Saintess Lunaria instead, which made him nod in understanding.

”Emperor of Death, why did the skies turn dark?”

”Did Fairy Myria commit a crime thatʼs so sinful that it made the heavens cry?”

”Or is it truly because of killing Nyx Godwin? He was truly a heaven chosen, even if he decided to do something bad to a woman. After all, the heavens donʼt have eyes but only bias.”

”Are you still willing to trade your contribution points? I have… CRYSTALS!”

Many people threw questions at him, and there was one who even imposed trade, but he simply said that Myria had turned blind, deaf, and dumb over the death of her friend for a moment, and that caused the heavens to weep for those reasons, causing them to be dumbfounded before he ran off to the Treasury with his women.

This time, he tried to procure the resources no matter what could happen, and fortunately, he was able to procure them within half a day.

Just as he heaved a huge sigh and patted Schleyaʼs shoulders, congratulating her for reaching Level Nine Immortal Stage with the Blood Essence Orb and a few other resources while fully focusing on cultivating to the best of her ability, he narrowed his brows and turned around, looking at a crimson-robed woman grin at him, her beautiful and stunning face fully revealed to the public.

Whatʼs more, she was an Immortal King Beast, radiating searing and hot scarlet flames from her body.

Davis softly sighed, ”I suggest you leave.”

”Oh my.” The crimson-robed womanʼs lips curled even more, ”You seem to know me. Iʼm honored.”

”Ranked second in the Immortal King Grade Core Disciple Rankings, Xerna Zenflame, bastard daughter of Killian Zenflame, the Patriarch of the Fire Phoenix Clan,” Davis spoke in a tired voice as he rubbed his forehead.

He knew this because he made sure to learn about everyone who was in the rankings. However, he didnʼt have any intention to harass or target this woman because she hadnʼt involved herself in this mess to this point, but looking at her entrance now, he knew this was simply a repeat of Tegon and Egon Zenflame.

”If you want to make trouble, then I have to say that Iʼm not in the mood to entertain-”

”Letʼs kill my father together. What do you say?”

”As I said, I-” Davis suddenly stopped, feeling that he had heard something different, ”What did you say?”

”As… I… said…” Xerna Zenflame walked towards him, appearing by his side and turning to look at him with a blatant smile.

”That bastard father of mine wants me to come back to the clan, but he doesnʼt listen even if I say no, so shall we kill him together? I know you want to kill him for targeting your woman.”

She enunciated, looking at him with wide eyes that honestly made Davis feel creeped out than confused.

”So you have hatred against your father?” However, he could see that her gaze radiated a strong sense of dislike, but it didnʼt seem to be directed at him.

Xerna Zenflameʼs smile faded, replaced with a scornful look, ”Everyone who knows me knows why Iʼve been sent here, and I assume youʼre no different. In fact, that bastard father didnʼt even know where I was going in the first place, but suddenly after I made a name for myself, he wants me back for the betterment of the clan? How ridiculous.”

She scoffed and turned to look away, ”I have heard about you and am aware of the upcoming banquet. I will warn you out of courtesy that weʼre fellow disciples, so donʼt you ever dare trust my bastard father, or you will be burned badly as my mother did.”

She flicked her head, her beautiful crimson hair flailing across as it almost brushed against Davisʼs face before she went away as she came, leaving a sentence.

”I will be waiting for your answer.”

”…”

Evelynn, Natalya, and the others looked at each other, wondering what the heck just happened before their gaze unequivocally fell on Mingzhi.

”You all…”

Almost everyone knew that Davis had killed her father. It was no secret, but it wasnʼt like she begged for him to kill her father, unlike this Xerna Zenflame who left, so she fumed at them, causing them to giggle.

But on the other hand, Davis was truly taken aback by this Fire Phoenix. She didnʼt even glance at Shirley, fully having her gaze on him as though truly expecting him to answer yes to killing her father.

However, her warning… made him wonder what exactly was going on in the Fire Phoenix Clan.
