I Became The Chief Of A Primitive Village

Chapter 593, The New Squad

“That many is enough. As long as we can craft ten of them, that will do. After that, you can slowly craft the rest.” Su Bai said.

He also knew that there was no way to manufacture so many firearms in a short time, but some must be crafted first for use. Otherwise, those Totem Warriors would have no time at all to familiarise themselves with these firearms, and when the Ferocious Beasts invaded, they would be at a complete loss.

So, some firearms must be crafted in advance to let the Totem Warriors train first. As for the remaining time, they could slowly continue crafting and equip all Warriors with them at a later date.

“I understand what the Shaman means. The task of crafting them shall be left to me,” Tai immediately said.

He also knew the importance of this matter, so he would begin crafting firearms without stopping. Although the idea of a new and improved firearm was also very attractive to him, he must consider the Tribe’s safety first and craft these firearms first.

“Although they are urgently needed, quality is still of higher importance.” Su Bai warned.

He did not want them to rush and then manufacture defective firearms. This would not only be detrimental to the Totem Warriors, but it might even kill them.

Although they had Shaman Bone Tablets storing his Curing Skill, what if the gun barrel explosion caused the Totem Warrior to die on the spot?

“I understand. I will strictly maintain the quality of the firearms and ensure they are exactly the same as this one.” Tai said with a solemn expression.

This firearm was crafted by his own hands, so he still knew what its drawbacks were and where problems were most likely to appear. Moreover, during past experiments, the older prototypes often had problems, so he also understood that these weapons must be crafted with strict quality control.

If the Totem Warriors lost their lives because they used poor-quality firearms, he would be burdened by guilt.

“If you can complete this task in time, I will be able to give you the new blueprints for the improved firearm, but the prerequisite is that the quality of the manufactured firearms must be up to standard.” Su Bai said.

When Tai heard this, his eyes immediately widened, and he nodded repeatedly, saying, “Shaman, I will not disappoint you.”

“En.” Su Bai nodded lightly and handed the firearm in his hand to the Chieftain, saying, “Okay, now you give it a try.”

He wanted to let the Chieftain try the power of this firearm first and then let him promote it to the Totem Warriors.

As the Chieftain of the Flame Dragon Tribe, after experiencing the power of this weapon, he naturally knew what to say to the Totem Warriors.

“Yes, Shaman.” Yan Jiao excitedly took the firearm and then carefully examined it.

He was wondering in his heart how this thing could blast out such power. After all, some parts of the firearm were made out of wood.

“You know how to operate it, right? Pull this switch once, then aim at where you want to aim, and press the trigger.” Su Bai explained while demonstrating.

The operation of the firearm was not difficult. One only needed to remember two steps to fire.

“I understand.” Yan Jiao watched very carefully, afraid that he might miss something.

He operated according to the instructions, aimed the firearm at a tree trunk, and aimed for a long time before firing.

*Bang!*

A huge gunshot rang out. Not only was the barrel smoking, but the tree trunk was also smoking.

All this happened in a flash. Yan Jiao obviously had not yet reacted. He did not know that this firearm was so simple to operate, and the firing speed was so fast. He had not even prepared himself mentally, yet the bullet had already shot out.

“So… so powerful.” Although Yan Jiao had already seen it once, he still could not help but exclaim.

“Shaman, may I also try? I remember how you did it, so I can do it myself.” Cang Shi immediately volunteered.

He had been watching from the side the whole time, and his heart had long been eager to try it.

“Of course, but you must pay attention to safety. Do not point the gun barrel at yourself, and especially do not use your eyes to look into the gun barrel.” Su Bai instructed.

He was worried that some people here did not quite understand how dangerous that would be, and would point the gun barrel at their own heads. Such foolish tragedies were best prevented by a warning.

“Understood.” Cang Shi smiled like an old child and immediately began operating according to the technique in his memory.

His mouth was almost grinning to the back of his head. Being able to control such a powerful weapon put him in a much better mood,

He also pointed the gun barrel at a tree trunk.

*Bang!*

Another loud gunshot rang out, and quite a bit of snow on the trees got shook off due to the vibration.

Cang Shi was the same as the Chieftain. Even though he had already seen it, he still felt shocked, possibly because he was operating it himself this time.

“Is this weapon powerful enough to kill those Ferocious Beasts?” Su Bai asked. This was his first eternal night, and he still did not quite understand various aspects. As for whether this weapon could harm those Ferocious Beasts, he had to ask them for input.

“Shaman, this can definitely kill them. Without a doubt. That is just how lethal it is.” Yan Jiao straightforwardly said.

Perhaps before the demonstration, he harboured some doubts, but now that he saw the result in front of his eyes, he had a definitive answer in his heart.

“That’s good. How easy or hard will it be to master? How long do you think those Totem Warriors can adapt to this weapon?” Su Bai continued to ask.

After all, he was a modern person from Earth, so naturally, already knew how to use it. Even if someone had not seen it before in real life, they must have seen such weapons on television plenty of times.

Moreover, when he was on Earth, he had participated in military training, and had also touched guns before, and was at shooting ranges.

But people of this Primitive Era were different. They were encountering hot weapons for the very first time and were learning about them.

“I think if we train for a day, we should be able to completely master it. What follows is whether we are accurate shooters or not.” Yan Jiao said.

He had just tried the weapon himself. Using it was not difficult. What really needed attention was the psychological preparation and the accuracy of the shooter. After all, the sound it made, and the sudden recoil was indeed frightening. No one knew that this ‘stick’ could burst out with such great power.

“Great. Then select a group of people to form a firearm squad and train them well.” Su Bai instructed.

“Yes.” Yan Jiao immediately responded.
