I Became The Chief Of A Primitive Village

Chapter 552, It’s Best Not to Have to Use It

Yan Hua happily pulled Sha Lan away from the Yong’an Building, bringing many animal hide clothes with them when they left.

Although the wind and snow were not particularly heavy right now, they prepared for the possibility that the weather might worsen over the next few days, which would be troublesome.

Therefore, the two brought rather thick and numerous garments, even wearing scarves and animal hide hats, all as precautionary measures.

*Step step step…*

After the two descended the stairs, they quickly found the personnel arranged by the Shaman, conveyed the orders clearly, and then began their respective preparations.

Everyone prepared three sleds in total. Besides seating for the Flame Dragon Tribe members, they also reserved space for the Green Vine Tribe people.

After all, they still needed people from that Tribe to guide them, so that other Tribes would trust the convoy more.

“This time we must complete the mission perfectly, so that we’ll have other missions to do next time,” Yan Hua earnestly said.

Yan Hua could be said to take this mission extremely seriously. Besides wanting to have missions to do next time, most importantly, she also wanted to help the Flame Dragon Tribe. This expedition was to attract more people to come to the Flame Dragon Tribe, which was of crucial importance.

“Exactly. For the Tribe to become better next year, and so that we won’t have to continue going to the Spotted Deer Tribe to exchange for goods, we must succeed this time,” Sha Lan’s expression was also exceptionally solemn.

Sha Lan thought about more things. She knew the importance of this mission so after receiving this assignment, her facial expression had remained very grave throughout. Besides wanting to complete this mission properly, she was also extremely worried. She worried about what would happen if she messed up this mission.

“The shield the Shaman gave is amazing. The Shaman always has such wonderful things – it’s too miraculous.” Yan Hua clutched the shield tightly.

Yan Hua was overjoyed when she received this shield, as this was the first time she had seen such a thing.

She was naturally not unfamiliar with shields, as Totem Warrior sometimes used them as well.

For instance, during training they would use wooden boards as substitute shields, or when encountering wild beasts outside, they would pick up a wooden stake to serve as a shield to block attacks.

Although she heard the word ‘shield’ for the first time, after explaining its purpose, she immediately understood how to use it.

However, most importantly, the shield’s appearance, material, and tactile sensation all greatly surprised Yan Hua – everything about it was perfect.

“Yeah, I wonder what material this shield is made from? It looks extremely sturdy, giving one a tremendous sense of security.” Sha Lan knocked on the shield several times with her knuckles, producing crisp sounds.

This shield was from a Mid Grade Assistance Package that the System had previously provided. A shield made of Adamantium.

In this Primitive Era, there was virtually nothing that could damage this shield, which was also Su Bai’s greatest guarantee for the safety of Yan Hua and the others.

With their skills plus the protection of this shield, they could escape from any danger that was not too desperately perilous.

“I must find an opportunity to use this shield,” Yan Hua was already somewhat impatient.

“Don’t you dare. It’s better not to use it if possible. If we need to use it, that would mean we are in danger, you know?” Sha Lan lightly tapped Yan Hua’s forehead.

Although Sha Lan also very much wanted to try using this shield and see what it was like, reason told her she hoped not to have to use it while away from the Tribe.

“You’re right. Next time when we’re training, let’s see if the Shaman will lend it to us, and we can try it then.” what Yan Hua said also made sense.

“Are you all ready? If you’re ready, let’s go.” Yue asked, fully equipped and ready to go.

The rabbit eared girl had quite a lot of equipment on her. Besides wearing thick animal hide clothes, she also carried many weapons as precautionary measures.

“We’re all ready and can depart at any time,” Yan Hua said without hesitation.

“Depart!” Yue said seriously, carefully taking the lead as they left the Flame Dragon Tribe.

*Step step step…*

Originally, Sha Lan’s Mother wanted to accompany them, but Sha Lan persuaded her to stay and protect the Shaman. Although she was very worried about her Daughter’s safety, the Shaman was ultimately more important, so she had no choice.

She gave her recurve bow to Sha Lan, and even handed over her Crocodile Blade to her.

Yan Hua was also provided with other weapons, as they needed them for self-defence when outside the Tribe.

*Woof woof woof…*

On the sled by the great river, those sled dogs were already impatient.

Ever since they had experienced the feeling of running swiftly on the ice surface, they had been eager to try it again.

This time, only six of the eight sled dogs went on the expedition, still with two dogs pulling one sled as before.

After Yan Hua and the others loaded all the food and weapons onto the sled, they began to control the sled and set off.

*Woof woof woof…*

*Creak creak…*

The sled began running swiftly under the pull of the sled dogs, and everyone started advancing towards the Green Vine Tribe’s direction.

Since the sled dogs had previously gone through this route, their running speed was even faster this time.

In less than ten minutes, the three sled had completely left the riverside at the entrance of the Flame Dragon Tribe.

Yan Hua sat on the sled again, the excitement on her face showing no signs of diminishing – she still looked thrilled.

This time, she was controlling the sled herself, so the feeling was even more exhilarating.

Sitting beside Yan Hua was Sha Lan, who was also somewhat eager to try, as who would not want to attempt such an enjoyable transportation vehicle?

Yue was also controlling a sled alone, staying close beside Sha Lan throughout, as she needed to watch over these young Warrior Trainees carefully.

Shu Feng and He Chuan were controlling one sled together, similarly staying on the other side of Sha Lan and her companion.

After all, two Warrior Trainees were departing this time. Although their abilities were among the top of the Warrior Trainee in the Tribe, they were not yet Totem Warrior, so there were many things requiring attention.

“After leaving the Tribe, you must stay close to us,” Yue instructed.

“We understand,” Yan Hua and the others said in unison.
