I Became The Chief Of A Primitive Village

Chapter 579, Will Bring Disaster

Translator: Silavin

That enormous Ferocious Beast had been struggling in the sky, trying to maintain its balance to prevent itself from falling down.

Everyone in the Flame Dragon Tribe raised their heads to watch this scene, which left them rather stunned.

After all, this was the first time such a thing had happened to the Flame Dragon Tribe; nothing like this had ever occurred before.

Even during the eternal night, when Ferocious Beasts invaded, most of them were ground-based Ferocious Beasts. Even if there were aerial ones, they were very small.

A creature of this enormous invading outside of the eternal night was a first.

However, what truly surprised everyone was that this Ferocious Beast was far too weak. It seemed unable to withstand even the first round of attacks.

Everyone had thought this would take considerable time, because judging from the sound alone, the enemy seemed powerful. So, everyone had prepared themselves for a fight to the death.

They had all been thinking about what to do if they sacrificed themselves. But reality had caught them completely off guard.

The Warriors’ first round of attacks had left this Ferocious Beast struggling in the sky for ages, completely different from the fearsome cries it had made before appearing. When it had yet to appear, they had assumed it was an extremely formidable Ferocious Beast.

“Continue!” Su Bai did not waste any time, merely instructing the Warriors to proceed with the second wave of attacks.

Since there was no need to use poison, nor waste too much manpower, they should just quickly finish off this Ferocious Beast.

No one knew whether there would be a second, a third, or an entire swarm, so upon seeing one, they had to eliminate it first.

*Whoosh whoosh whoosh…*

The Warriors were momentarily stunned, only reacting to the command before launching the second round of attacks.

Their reaction time was rather slow, as they had not anticipated such an outcome.

Another series of whistling sounds shot towards the flying Ferocious Beast, which was completely unable to defend itself.

Because the flames from the first round of attacks on its body had not been completely extinguished, and now the second round had arrived, coupled with its injuries making its reactions even slower.

*Craw craw craw…*

The Ferocious Beast could not withstand it anymore, continuously letting out agonised screams, and appeared to be tottering on the brink of collapse.

“Everyone step back a bit, don’t get caught up when this Ferocious Beast falls.” Yan Jiao loudly shouted.

He could tell that this beast could not hold on much longer, but given its size, they needed to quickly clear some space.

“Shaman, when it falls, will it crush the houses?” Yan Hua asked worriedly.

Yan Hua was concerned that if the Ferocious Beast fell, it would be terrible if it crushed the houses they had worked so hard to build.

“Looking at the situation, it should not crush them. The space we left open is spacious enough for it to fall in,” Su Bai said, looking up.

*Craw craw craw…*

After screaming in agony for quite a while, the Ferocious Beast fell straight down. It had not been flying very high to begin with, and in the blink of an eye, it landed on the square.

The square had been built very large, able to completely accommodate the entire flying Ferocious Beast without affecting the nearby houses.

When the Ferocious Beast fell, the Tribe people could finally see clearly what it looked like.

The feathers on its body came in three colours: dark brown, brown, and light brown.

It was enormous, appearing much larger than when it was flying, and up close, one could smell a delicious roasted aroma.

This was probably because those two waves of attacks had cooked its flesh, so they could now smell a very fragrant scent.

Of course, although this aroma was very appealing, the Tribe Warriors were not ravenous people and kept their composure.

Having eaten many kinds of delicious food, this meat’s fragrance no longer held that much sway.

At most, they would sigh in appreciation, but not to the point of drooling, because this aroma was completely different from the delicious foods they had eaten before.

“Shaman, this Ferocious Beast looks rather strange. We’ve never seen one like this before,” Yan Jiao frowned.

Having lived in the Tribe for so long, this was the first time he’d seen a Ferocious Beast of this appearance.

This feeling was neither good nor bad, as unknown Ferocious Beasts still posed some threat              .

No one knew how strong this Ferocious Beast was, whether it was poisonous, or what its living habits were.

If this Ferocious Beast was a Collective Type of Ferocious Beast, it would mean there were others in the vicinity, which would also signify that the danger had not completely ended.

“First, let’s deal with this Ferocious Beast, then distribute the meat to the Warriors. After that, have people increase patrols around the area.” Su Bai said.

He also knew the matter was not this simple, so he wanted to deal with this Ferocious Beast first before handling other issues.

“Yes,” Yan Jiao nodded.

Su Bai looked up at the sky, only to find the snowflakes falling heavier and heavier, as if a great gash had opened up in Heaven.

He lowered his head and asked, “Does this sort of situation happen every year, or does it rarely occur?”

He wanted to understand what was really happening and why the weather had changed after this Ferocious Beast appeared. Was weather change like this normal?

“This sort of situation hasn’t occurred since I was born. So, I don’t know…” Yan Hua shook her head.

After all, Yan Hua was not very old, so not having seen this since birth was normal and did not represent anything significant.

“Cang Shi, this situation…” Su Bai called Cang Shi over and asked the same question.

Cang Shi frowned and thought carefully. After quite a while, he said, “This seems to be the first time.”

He had thought back and forth for a long time, and this situation was indeed occurring for the first time.

“Hmm,” Su Bai frowned. Since this situation had never occurred before, it was hard to say this had truly ended.

“Shaman, what’s wrong?” Cang Shi noticed the Shaman’s expression had changed, as if this matter was indeed somewhat problematic.

“Nothing. I need to think about this seriously. First, go and deal with this Ferocious Beast’s meat.” Su Bai said.

*Step step step…*

He turned and left the square, heading towards the Yong’an Building to think seriously about the cause and effect of this matter.

“Shaman, wait for me,” Yu Ying reacted and immediately followed.

More than ten minutes later, everyone returned to the Yong’an Building. Su Bai drank water while contemplating.

“Shaman, what’s wrong? Is this matter very serious?” Yu Ying asked worriedly.

Yu Ying had noticed the Shaman’s wrong expression at the square, but with so many people around, it had not been appropriate to ask anything.

“This matter is rather odd. This Ferocious Beast seems like it will bring about a disaster.” Su Bai said, frowning.

Because after this Ferocious Beast appeared, the snowfall from the sky had begun to intensify.

Moreover, having asked everyone, this sort of thing had never happened before, which meant this Ferocious Beast was like the River Bear from the rainy season—Its appearance would lead to flooding. In this case, its appearance might lead to a snow storm or worse…
