I Became The Chief Of A Primitive Village

Chapter 567, Reckless Waste of Precious Things

Dao Ba took the piece of linen and began examining it. The moment he touched it, he felt something different.

His eyes widened as he continued looking at that piece of linen, exclaiming in amazement. “How is the texture of this linen so good?”

The piece of linen his hands were touching was completely different from all the linen he had seen before. It felt very comfortable. This linen was obviously much better than all the previous linen he owned. He could feel it the moment he touched it, let alone examining it carefully.

After examining it, he discovered that this linen was not just a little bit better—it was streets ahead of all the previous linen.

“Because this linen is from our Flame Dragon Tribe, naturally it’s different from the linen of other Tribes,” Sha Lan explained.

Sha Lan knew that the other party would definitely praise their linen, after all this piece was not just a little bit better in terms of quality.

She had also seen linen from other Tribes before, and compared to the Flame Dragon Tribe’s linen, they were simply far too inferior. Although she had previously thought those were quite good,

“Are all the linen from your Tribe this good? This type of linen must be very difficult to make, right? How is the Spotted Deer Tribe’s linen so much worse than yours?” Dao Ba asked in shock.

Dao Ba really loved this linen. He was already beginning to imagine what it would feel like to have clothes made from this linen and wear them. They would definitely be more comfortable than before.

Thinking of this, he could not help but want to throw away all his previous linen and replace it entirely with Flame Dragon Tribe linen.

“All the linen from our Tribe is of this quality. Every time we take it to the Spotted Deer Tribe, we sell most of what we have directly to them, but most do not leave the Spotted Deer Tribe. The extras are sold to others, but they are always immediately snatched up.” Sha Lan said.

Sha Lan completely displayed the advantages of the Flame Dragon Tribe, wanting to make the other party feel that the Flame Dragon Tribe’s linen was in high demand, so the other party would have a sense of urgency.

“I want this linen too. Our Grey Rabbit Tribe wants a lot of them.” Dao Ba said without hesitation.

He began thinking of giving this linen to his Wives and Children after exchanging for it, and most importantly to the Tribe’s Shaman. If they wore them, they would definitely make many others very envious.

Although he had already become the Chieftain of the Grey Rabbit Tribe, he was still a little vain.

“During the snow season, we won’t be conducting any exchanges. If the Chieftain wants them, you can come to our Tribe. Once spring comes, we’ll have lots of linen prepared.” Sha Lan already knew the other party would come to the Flame Dragon Tribe now.

“No problem. After the snow season passes, I’ll definitely go to your Tribe. You must keep these things for me.” Dao Ba said seriously.

He had now been completely captivated by the preserved meat and linen, wanting to immediately get them.

He was also feeling fortunate that he had stayed to listen to what the other party said, otherwise he would have missed such amazing items.

“As long as the Chieftain comes to our Tribe, we will have these things prepared. We’ll write down your name first, so when you come, you can directly exchange them with us.” Sha Lan had not expected it to be so simple.

She had originally thought this mission would be very troublesome, but who knew it would be completed so easily. It could be said to be effortless.

“Fine, I’ll go. I’ll immediately go once the eternal night ends,” Dao Ba did not hesitate at all, because he was afraid that hesitating would mean missing out.

“Chieftain, please look at this last item. This is also unique to our Tribe, something other Tribes can’t possibly make.” Sha Lan took out the ceramic.

Sha Lan now brought out her trump card, knowing that this thing would definitely make the other party sink even deeper into the ‘quagmire’.

“What is this thing?” Dao Ba took the ceramic and began examining it. The moment he took it in his hands, his grey eyes widened again.

It made his eyes light up again. It could be said that in all his years of living, he had never seen anything like this.

The ceramic’s appearance and the feeling of touching it were very different. It felt like holding a piece of stone that had been polished to become absurdly thin. Although it felt similar to stone, its appearance was much more beautiful than stone.

“This is ceramic. We all use it to eat food, even to drink soup.” Sha Lan explained.

The current Flame Dragon Tribe indeed used ceramic bowls to eat food and hold soup. Only those particularly large ceramics were used for display.

Other Tribes were different. Getting this type of ceramic was simply something they dared not use. How could they bear to use it to hold food? They would rather place it in the highest position as a showpiece.

“You use this to hold food? Such good things are used to hold food?” Dao Ba could not believe his ears.

He saw that this thing was really too beautiful. Whether the craftsmanship or appearance, everything was very exquisite.

If this type of thing were treated as a treasure and put away, it would make complete sense. He had not expected that the Flame Dragon Tribe actually used it to hold food. This was really a bit of a reckless waste of a precious thing.

Dao Ba kept thinking this in his heart.

He even began thinking that the Flame Dragon Tribe was truly a wicked Tribe. They actually had such delicious food, linen with such good texture, and such amazing ceramics, but they treated them all so casually.

His heart began to anticipate going to the Flame Dragon Tribe even more, wanting to know what such a Tribe was like.

“Yes, this thing is used to hold food in our Tribe, but not everyone can use it. Only important people like our Shaman and Chieftain can use it. The others still can only use wooden bowls.” Sha Lan explained.

Sha Lan also needed to create the impression that this thing was very precious, that only the Tribe’s high-ranking figures could use it, and that others could not even touch it, let alone see it.

“So that’s how it is. I thought you gave this type of thing to anyone to use.” Dao Ba breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing this.

He did not know why, but even though this thing was not his, he also did not want to see such a good thing given casually to others to use.

“The quantity isn’t very large right now. If the Chieftain wants them, you’ll need to come to our Tribe quickly once spring comes.” Sha Lan deliberately appeared to be troubled.

“Do many people want this thing?” Dao Ba asked, wanting to know how much in demand this thing was.

“Yes, some people are even willing to use four or five bags of dried meat to exchange for just one piece.” Sha Lan said, exaggerating a little.

Dao Ba fell into contemplation upon hearing this, thinking in his heart that this ceramic was indeed worth that much dried meat.

He pondered for a long time, then raised his head and said. “I understand. I’ll definitely go this spring.”
