I Became The Chief Of A Primitive Village

Chapter 566, Hooked

Dao Ba was stunned upon hearing this and looked at the young girl seriously, asking, “Why are you speaking up for another Tribe?”

Although he had only seen this girl once, that was when she had just been born not long ago. It was when he had acted as the representative to send gifts of blessing from the Grey Rabbit Tribe after her birth. After that, he had never seen her again.

Moreover, he knew that the Green Vine Tribe were people who did not like to meddle in other people’s affairs. So, it was curious why they were now here speaking up for another Tribe, and the one who was speaking was that little girl he had seen when she was a baby.

“Uncle, it’s because the Flame Dragon Tribe is really amazing, and we also want your Tribe to improve.” Ah Liv said. These words came from her heart, because she truly felt that the Flame Dragon Tribe was exceptional. One could see it after living there for just a few days.

“What use is it if a Tribe is good? That’s still someone else’s Tribe and it has nothing to do with us.” Dao Ba responded

He never envied other Tribes. Each time he managed his own Tribe and led them to continue living. From time to time he would go to the Spotted Deer Tribe to exchange for some salt, linen, and some daily necessities, but most of the other time was spent hunting and storing food. He simply had no time to inquire about other Tribes.

So no matter how other Tribes developed, he did not care one iota. As long as his own Tribe could sustain itself, that was good enough.

“Uncle, as long as you go to their Tribe, you’ll understand. You won’t need to deliberately go to the Spotted Deer Tribe anymore. It’s much closer for you to go to the Flame Dragon Tribe than to the Spotted Deer Tribe.” Ah Liv continued.

The girl saw that the other party was somewhat disbelieving and felt very anxious. Even so, it was as if she was now speaking up for her own Tribe, wishing desperately that the other party would just quickly believe her and quickly make a trip to the Flame Dragon Tribe.

“Why would you want me to go to their Tribe during the snow season? I still have to manage my own Tribe. Don’t you know that eternal night is coming soon?” Dao Ba had been restraining his temper.

He was a person with a very quick temper. After speaking a few sentences, he would start to lose his temper. However, because the other party was his good friend’s Daughter, he contained himself.

If not for the relationship with her Father, he would have already driven the girl and the people from the Flame Dragon Tribe out of the Grey Rabbit Tribe.

“Uncle, I’m not asking you to go during the snow season, but to go after the snow season has passed. There will definitely be many things you want to exchange there. Trust me just this once.” Ah Liv’s expression was particularly solemn. After all, everything she was saying this time was true and everything she had seen herself, so she was confident.

“Then, we’ll talk about it after the snow season has passed. Since the snow isn’t very heavy now, are you going back or staying?” Dao Ba asked.

He did not want to continue talking with these people. There was no point in continuing, and he still had many things to handle.

“Uncle, I know you don’t believe me. Would you like to look at these few things? If after looking at them you and you still don’t want to go, then we’ll immediately leave.” Ah Liv solemnly asked.

She had people bring out the preserved meat, ceramics, and linen. These were all samples brought from the Flame Dragon Tribe, specifically for other Tribes to have a look at.

“What things?” Dao Ba asked curiously, thinking that since they had already come over, looking at these things would not hurt.

Ah Liv immediately smashed the lid of the preserved meat, took out a wooden bowl and poured it out, saying, “Uncle, you absolutely must try this. It’s really too delicious.”

Although the girl had tasted the preserved meat before, the moment the lid was smashed, her mouth started watering.

The fragrance that emanated made the girl take a deep breath, and she very much wanted to eat it herself.

The moment the preserved meat was opened, Dao Ba also smelled the aroma. That rich meaty fragrance was immediately inhaled into his nasal cavity.

He widened his grey eyes, his Adam’s apple couldn’t help but roll up and down, and he asked, “What is this?”

The aroma that emanated directly told him that this must be very delicious food.

“This is preserved meat, a specialty product from the Flame Dragon Tribe. Please try it,” Ah Liv reluctantly handed over that wooden bowl.

“preserved meat?” Dao Ba accepted the bowl with a puzzled expression and could not help but lean over to take a sip.

That one sip of the ginger broth and a piece of fish meat all went in. The moment it entered his mouth, the fragrance burst forth, and the tenderness of the fish meat and the deliciousness of the broth kept surging in his mouth.

“How is it?” Ah Liv saw that the other party kept his eyes wide open and had eaten all the remaining meat in the bowl.

“Delicious. This taste is too fresh and amazing. What kind of food is this? Why is it so delicious?” Dao Ba endlessly praised it.

He finished all the meat in the bowl, and his grey eyes kept staring at that preserved meat.

If the Shaman had not warned him beforehand that he must be dignified, he would have snatched that preserved meat and finished everything.

“This is food from our Tribe. Everyone can eat it, and the preparation method is also very simple.” Sha Lan said lightly.

Sha Lan wanted to create the impression that this food was something that could be found everywhere in the Flame Dragon Tribe, and furthermore wanted to create the impression that this food was just ordinary food to them. Because only this way could she attract the other to the Flame Dragon Tribe. Also, it was only through such methods that the other party would be more willing to understand the Flame Dragon Tribe.

She was looking forward to seeing the other party’s jaws agape. The current Chieftain was very different from the confident one just moments ago.

“Are these foods everywhere in your Tribe? How are they made? Our Tribe wants them.” Dao Ba immediately said.

He had been completely conquered by this food. Just the first bite and he had directly fallen in love with it.

“If you want them, then go to our Flame Dragon Tribe to trade for them. We haven’t brought much out now. We also need to eat them while we travel.” Sha Lan said.

Sha Lan began to feel secretly pleased. The other party was too easy to hook, and this was only the first thing they had brought out.

However, this was how it was in the Primitive Era. The people here all prioritised food first, and everyone spent their entire lives toiling and rushing about for food.

“What other things does your Tribe have? I want to see them all.” Dao Ba’s curiosity had reached its peak. [What kind of Tribe is the Flame Dragon Tribe? Why did they have such delicious food? How interesting…]

“Next is this linen. It’s also completely different from other Tribes’,” Sha Lan smoothly brought out the second item.
