Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 1046: Chapter 1037: I Wish I Had a Godfather Too—Frustrated Kaidou

”Is this... a happy life?”

”Cough, cough, that bastard old man called this ’edutainment’, tricked me here under the pretense of a snowball fight. Normal people focus on the snow, but his focus is on ’fight’ and ’war’....

Don’t mind that detail, let me find it again... okay, this time it’s correct.”

This time, Yamato carefully read through the list and only clicked to play it after confirming the content with Rotom.

”In Ringo, Uncle Queen built a lab, and the rest are processing plants of sort. Those little black guys are called Carkol, they’re very popular Pokémon used for transporting winter coal.

Also, the snow over there is perfectly white; you can boil it and drink it directly without any issue, unlike this place where all the snow is polluted and black.”

”It really is like that, but I have another question. Why did you keep that footage from earlier?”

The previous recordings may still be considered happy memories, but the scene of getting hit by a snowball doesn’t seem like something pleasant.

Though it was supposed to be a snowball, under Kaidou’s grip, the loose snow was pressed into an ice ball. Adding Haki to that, it was enough to rival a cannonball.

”This... I remember initially I wanted to complain to my adoptive father, but something unexpected happened later and nothing came of it. Then there were too many videos, and I forgot to delete it.

Don’t focus on that! I’m showing you Wano Kuni! Rotom, find me some suitable footage!”

”Got it, Roto.”

Rotom began searching through the database for suitable videos, but according to its logic, it eventually pulled up lesson plans from Wano Kuni Elementary School.

Wano Kuni’s First Lesson - Enlightened King and Arceus Lord’s Governed Beautiful Wano Kuni (Aerial View).

This is one of the brainwashing projects of the Hundred Beasts, also a compulsory course of Wano Kuni today, mainly showing Wano Kuni’s daily life from various angles.

The perspective falls from high above, starting from the Divine Hall at Mountain Fuji Peak, overlooking the entire Wano Kuni from a god’s view.

The content of Ringo had already been played, so it was automatically skipped by Rotom.

It directly started showing Shimi’s pasture. To enhance the effect, Rotom also displayed comparison photos taken just earlier during the stroll.

Workers riding giant Altaria to work on Little Sky Island, Jumpluff floating into the sky with the monsoon, Emboar lazily sunbathing on the grass, surrounded by flocks of Mareep guided by Ampharos.

At the boundary of Kuri, herds of Tauros run wildly, and some Miltank were playing Rollout on the slopes. Even in the most polluted Udon, Weezing is absorbing the exhaust gas, while Muk purifies wastewater in the waterways.

The Flower Capital remains bustling, but under its splendor is a touch more of the atmosphere of fireworks.

”Do you see? This is the ideal Wano Kuni, even if Oden were alive, he couldn’t achieve this. This is the goal you should strive for. Let that Oden honestly stay in the soil.”

”I actually envy you for having an adoptive father... why can’t that bull-headed gorilla find someone like that!”

”Yamato” is not really stupid, both Kaidous are the same breed, their difference lies with Arceus, and in conversation, Yamato constantly mentioned Arceus.

[Gift from Father, modified by Father, promised by Father.]

She couldn’t help but imagine what life would be like if she also had an adoptive father.

”Speaking of which, didn’t you say you’re stronger than ’Kaidou’? Is that right?”

”Yes, why?”

”Would you consider helping me defeat Kaidou?”

”No, that’s something you have to do yourself. It’s not something I should do.”

To be honest, if one really wants to liberate this Wano Kuni, this is indeed the simplest method, but in that case, ’Yamato’ won’t make any essential changes.

And such ’Yamato’ wouldn’t have the ability to protect Wano Kuni.

”This sea isn’t that stable, even on my end, someone will be left to guard Wano Kuni in the end.

This isn’t my world; after I leave, how will you protect ’Wano Kuni’?”

In the New World, countries aren’t safe. Without the identity of an allied nation, survival depends entirely on oneself. Kaidou’s management is more brutal, yet it deters some pirates. In a worse environment, the territories of the Four Emperors are still much stronger than lawless lands.

”That’s true, it’s better to rely on yourself for this sort of thing...”

”I still haven’t figured out why Father sent me here exactly; maybe he wanted me to see what this Wano Kuni is like.

Anyway, I’ve confirmed my future goal, and we should be leaving too, after dealing with a little trouble.”

”Little trouble?”

”Yeah, that guy isn’t too slow to react; he’s already caught up.”

A Stand is ultimately not the original body. Yamato sensed earlier that her Stand had already disappeared, and at this moment, the dragon-formed ’Kaidou’ had flown back again.

”Want to fight? I can help you deal with King.”

”No need, your body should be tough enough, right?”

”It should be... good enough.”

”Then get ready because it’s going to be exciting.”

Lightning wings appeared behind Yamato again, and with the sound of turbines spinning, weak current flashed across Yamato’s body, only to be absorbed by the wings.

”That guy will be your future opponent; now, let’s take you on a new adventure, Extreme Speed Engine!”

Extreme Speed, a Normal Type move, has a very high priority. As the name suggests, it is a skill aimed at winning with speed.

Speed is power. When moving at high speed, a Pokémon’s body can unleash immense explosive force. According to some scholars, Arcanine might be able to run at great speed because it mastered this skill.

Yamato’s Extreme Speed Engine is the ability of high-speed flight derived by combining Extreme Speed with Zekrom’s power. Its biggest downside is that making turns is inconvenient, and it’s not very passenger-friendly.

If you don’t have some strength, being flown around by her might lead you to die from wind pressure.

However, although this ”Yamato” can’t compare to her, she was ultimately trained by ”Kaidou,” so this bit of wind can’t do anything to her. Accompanied by Yamato’s slightly excited shout, Kaidou could only watch as the two Yamatos ran away right under his nose.

”Damn it, having that kind of strength, yet playing these tricks... damned fool!”

Clouds loomed all around, and Kaidou’s mood dropped to an all-time low.

His son was taken away by a ”daughter” who looked exactly alike, and even though that ”daughter” obviously had the strength to fight him directly, she insisted on playing dirty with schemes, deceiving him first with a Stand, and finally avoiding a fight. This left him with anger having nowhere to vent...
