Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 1045: Chapter 1036: From Being Hoodwinked to Becoming the Ultimate Hoodwinker

”Alright, let’s first confirm, your goal is to ’defeat’ Kaidou, and then liberate Wano Kuni.”

By the seaside of Ringo, two Yamatop sat on the shore discussing plans for the future, largely consisting of Yamato counseling ”Yamato” psychologically. Seeing another version of herself turned into such a ghost-like figure was hardly something she could accept.

Even though she’s merely a fleeting visitor in this world, she still wants to do something.

At present, she’s working hard to recall how Arceus taught her when she was young and had ideas.

As for why not ponder over Kaidou’s actions...

Kaidou is either waving a club or using Supreme King Haki, and even if he’s not moving, he’s contemplating different methods to engage, making it completely unfeasible.

The existence of ”Yamato” has already validated that, according to Kaidou’s teaching method, Yamato currently wants to use her own effort to guide her back a bit.

”Exactly!”

”So what’s your first step plan?”

”Hmm...”

”It’s okay, say it boldly!”

Back then, Arceus encouraged her like this, regardless of right or wrong thoughts, she had to first say them out loud.

Watching ”Yamato” hesitating to speak, Yamato conveyed encouragement to her through eye contact, but just the next moment, she felt she had grown.

”Um... become Oden first?”

Bang!

The beaches of Ringo aren’t like the soft sands of Kuri but are scattered with hard rocks. Hearing ”Yamato’s” words, Yamato, unable to suppress her anger, punched the ground directly, shattering a large section of rocks.

[Foster father, you worked hard. When I was young, I must have made you quite angry...]

”Why do you have to hold a grudge against this term?! Why must it be that guy!!”

Reflecting in her mind, she fell into a state of reality-induced rage.

”You’re the one who made me say it... Don’t backtrack, we agreed you’d take me away.”

Just now, ”Yamato” was in a dilemma because earlier Yamato forbade her from mentioning that name. It wasn’t about anything else, it was about whether speaking it aloud would affect her voyage.

”If you insist on saying that, as Oden, should you first defeat ’Kaidou’ and then sail out, I wouldn’t need to care about you?”

”Seems so... No way! You promised to take me away... But it seems wrong too...”

In a few words, Yamato managed to enmesh ”Yamato” in confusion, making her start to ponder.

...

”Looks like she’s not just clever when facing me, she’s pretty sharp in deceiving herself too.”

On the other side, Kaidou’s expression also turned complex. Yamato’s ability to succeed over her foes with force was no longer surprising to Kaidou. If she couldn’t, that would truly be a break from the norm; today, there are barely any opponents left for her on the sea.

But this time she managed to crush her opponent intellectually. Though the defeated party was essentially herself, it was still enough to evoke feelings of admiration.

Just while sighing, Kaidou held a Wolf Fang Club, rather than a bottle of wine. As for ”Kaidou the Bastard,” that personalized title, he’s planning to chat well with Yamato once she returns.

After all, the child has grown up; when taking action, there must be some excuse found. Using the same reason every time isn’t quite suitable.

”Her brain is not bad at all, just not employed where it needs to be.”

Watching the behaviors displayed in the imagery, Arceus similarly offered his evaluation.

At this time, Yamato had already taken out a notebook from her waist bag, subsequently began drawing and jotting down, explaining her logic to ”Yamato” in a vibrant, illustrative manner.

”Firstly, Oden didn’t defeat ’Kaidou,’ you acknowledge this, right?”

”Yes.”

”And you need to defeat Kaidou to realize your goal; it might work without defeating him. If not mistaken, that damn dad seemed to want me to be Wano Kuni’s General at first.

He’s fundamentally indifferent, won’t care how you stir things up.”

”No! I don’t wish to follow the arrangements of that bull-headed gorilla!”

Speaking of this, ”Yamato” immediately experienced a serious inverse psychological reaction and abandoned this relatively stable path altogether.

”Then forget it, I don’t like it either; in short, I’ll summarize it for you, the real managers of ’Wano Kuni’ are Kurozumi Orochi, the power behind it is Kaidou, as soon as they’re taken care of, ’Wano Kuni’ will naturally be liberated, isn’t that the logic?”

”Correct.”

”Very well, then you only need to become stronger, Oden didn’t defeat ’Kaidou,’ so you become him couldn’t defeat ’Kaidou’ either.

And I can defeat ’Kaidou,’ just follow my path and work hard, you’ll be able to defeat ’Kaidou’ yourself.”

Crossing out the word ’Oden’ with a big X, Yamato focused on the point of becoming stronger.

”I feel like something’s amiss...”

”What could be amiss? The current ’Kaidou’ is stronger than he was over ten years ago, and I’m slightly stronger than him. Rounding off, I’m much stronger than that Oden.

Moreover, you read the voyager’s log, isn’t it more thrilling than that diary?”

Setting aside time to talk strength equates to trickery comparable to the toxicity disregarding measures, according to Yamato’s calculation, Olga is a pirate who toyed with the Seven Warlords of the Sea and the Four Emperors twice, a foe that even Red Hair and Buggy together couldn’t defeat.

But this logic was enough to convince ”Yamato,” her heart experienced some change before the example of ’herself.’

CG clipped from years of Yamato’s sailing adventures by Rotom far surpasses the excitement found in Oden’s diary; previously, Yamato had a big fight with ”Kaidou,” managed to gain an advantage, then casually froze the entire Ghost Island.

With such a dazzling precedent, even Oden’s diary’s unusual influence on ”Yamato” was shaking now.

Seeing ”herself” waver, Yamato knew the occasion was right; in previous occasions when she was swayed by Kaidou, it was precisely in this state, hence deciding to add one last stroke.

”Do you know what an ideal Wano Kuni should look like? Not like this declining Wano Kuni, the one I know is where everyone lives happily, let me find it and show you.”

Yamato’s fingers swiftly slid over Rotom’s screen, as they were presently in Ringo, so she planned to search videos of the Ringo District first, but seeing herself head towards success, indeed made her so smugly forgetful.

Without carefully inspecting the video list, upon seeing the words Ringo, she clicked it open directly.

In Rotom’s program design, pressing a button has a higher priority over voice control, Rotom didn’t have time to stop her, ultimately showing some odd scenes before ”Yamato.”

A more robust Kaidou was seen holding a meter-wide snowball in his hand, enhanced with Haki, he throws it toward Yamato...
