Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 1039: Chapter 1030: King Facing Public Humiliation First

Whether it’s ”Kaidou” or Kaidou, in essence, they’re both pirates who have no interest in infrastructure.

In fact, neither Kaidou cares about the appearance of Wano Kuni as long as it continuously produces weapons; what it becomes doesn’t matter.

The difference between the two Ghost Islands lies with Kurozumi Orochi and Arceus. Arceus is a fan of infrastructure and doesn’t want the place where he stays for long to become a heavily polluted area, so the pollution problem at Udon Factory was perfectly resolved by Alola Muk and Galar Weezing.

Moreover, their control and development methods are distinct, Arceus aims for assimilation, while Kurozumi Orochi aims for destruction.

Kurozumi Orochi is different; he only wants Wano Kuni to fall into deep chaos, so he spares no effort in oppressing everything here.

In Yamato’s perception, Wano Kuni should be a happy country; this overly real Wano Kuni makes her somewhat difficult to accept for a moment, even the joy of defeating ”Kaidou” was scattered.

[Look, this is the reality you like, what’s good about being excessively real?]

[It’s just a façade, not all countries are like this. Absolute ideals do not exist. The presence of the Lord makes that place an ideal country, but what about where the Lord is absent?

Beauty is just a fleeting sensation, only reality is eternal, and reality is never beautiful. Without experiencing reality, she will never grow.]

[Not building one’s own ideal and being constrained by reality is what halts progress.]

Inside the Dragon Space, two dragons enjoying the spectacle received information transmitted back from the consciousness residing in Yamato, thus starting a new round of debate. Since the split, this topic has never ended, and it’s just another round of discussion now.

Meanwhile, on another Ghost Island.

”Oh, this guy finally fulfilled his wish, he should be really happy now.”

”Sis! You’re not supposed to say that....”

Ulti’s bold words startled Page One, even though the voice wasn’t loud, he still looked towards Kaidou with some fear. However, Kaidou didn’t pay attention to such matters, rather he was fiddling with his Hassaikai, seemingly plotting something new.

”No need to worry, now Kaidou-san isn’t interested in you guys, but Yamato might not be the same.”

The onlooking crowd now includes Robin and Olga, as well as the families of Zeraora and Mandfeish; King and Shaina didn’t come over but were watching from an adjacent high platform, as for Queen....

Given the current situation, if no one stops him, he could dance all day and night.

”Speaking of which, no matter which world’s Queen it is, they both look so punchable, no, that one looks even more punchable.”

Holding a bottle of alcohol in hand, Shaina was comparing which Queen looks more deserving of a punch.

”I don’t think there’s much difference, but you... are you really okay drinking that stuff directly?”

”Hmm? It’s alright, don’t feel anything.”

Rum and beer are the choices of most pirates, but at the Ghost Island banquet, the variety of alcohols is abundant. Besides common types, there are also drinks that ordinary people wouldn’t even touch, such as the 96-degree distilled vodka in Shaina’s hand.

Originally, it was used by bartenders to mix drinks, but Shaina took it directly without a trace of intoxication.

The resilience of Lunarians is ridiculously high, but alcohol tolerance is innate, at least King can’t compare to Shaina.

”The Holy Beast-sama sure prepared some very special things.”

”Yes, the Holy Beast-sama’s powers are increasingly restored. This time it’s space, let’s hope for time next, look, there’s another you over there, that ability should be from an unchanged toothless pterodactyl.”

In the projected screen, ”King” also appeared beside Yamato, Shaina and King were originally spectators but in the next second, Shaina’s expression changed somewhat.

”King, promise me, don’t let that fool Queen assimilate you....”

After ”Kaidou” was knocked down by Yamato, ”King” also appeared on ”Ghost Island”, spreading his wings while chasing Yamato who was observing Wano Kuni in the sky, afterwards....

He pulled his head backward like a slingshot, firing a laser-like wave while shouting something bizarre.

[Tenjison O! This is the ancient pterodactyl’s hunting method!]

In Shaina’s view, King’s own thinking logic is still normal, the fact that ”King” can perform such a strange move must be due to Queen’s influence.

”I remember we have several Ancient Islands in our territory, there should be pterodactyls living on them, if not just go observe them...”

”No, I won’t use such embarrassing moves... absolutely not....”

Looking at another self, even though wearing a mask, King felt somewhat ashamed. Luckily Queen wasn’t here, otherwise he’d be socially dead before Yamato.

If Queen saw this, with Queen’s personality, he wouldn’t let go of this matter despite getting punched. It’s a rare chance to have dirt on someone, failing to utilize it wouldn’t be like Queen.

Besides, in this way, King wouldn’t be able to fully taunt Queen’s bizarre Brachiosaurus Serpent, because comparatively, using one’s face as a slingshot seems more embarrassing.

”This counts as your dark history, although it’s not you, it’s another you.”

”Perhaps... it’s under compulsion, you know the characteristics of our race, more defense but less offense, without Holy Beast-sama’s help, Blue Flame Mode cannot be developed, toothless pterodactyl doesn’t provide direct damage support.”

King still helped ”King” come up with some excuses, seeming to try and save face in front of Shaina.

He wasn’t sure about the others’ reactions, Robin and Maria managed their expressions well, temporarily revealing nothing about their thoughts, but judging by Ulti’s actions, his own aloof persona might crumble a bit.

King even considered asking Arceus to send him over to communicate properly with the counterpart.

”Saying that... makes me think you really considered it.”

”Let’s not dwell on that, maybe another ”you” will do something even stranger later.”

King wanted to move past this topic, so he talked about other things.

”Haven’t you noticed? The two worlds seem the same, but over there is a world without Holy Beast-sama—Queen’s Brachiosaurus, your pterodactyl—these are powers bestowed before by Holy Beast-sama.

Without Holy Beast-sama... I would’ve been dead long ago.”

King couldn’t say he hadn’t noticed, he just didn’t want to believe it.

After all, it’s the same himself over there, even sharing some thought processes, accidentally slipping into the role completely.

Even in ordinary movies, if the immersion is strong enough, character deaths can make people lament, let alone this kind of special experience.
