Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 1011: Chapter 1003: The Three Major Institutions, None Spared

”Additionally, this is the video footage sent back from Judicial Island. It’s not very long, but that thing... you should see it for yourself.”

The World Government’s three major institutions: Navy Headquarters, Judicial Island, and Impel Down.

Currently, Navy Headquarters has been destroyed in the war, Impel Down has experienced the most severe breakout in history, and Judicial Island, one of the three major institutions, has not been spared either.

This is a formal institution of the World Government. Although it bears the name of justice, no laws are followed on the island. As long as one is sent to Judicial Island, regardless of what they’ve done, the final verdict is always guilty.

The screen switched to footage from Judicial Island, and from the footage, it seemed that there were no immediate issues here yet.

”This is during a time when the war hadn’t ended yet. It was roughly after Navy Headquarters experienced the tsunami; see it for yourself.”

As an important institution of the World Government, Judicial Island had a comprehensive recording system to document the happenings there, and this footage just happened to record the cause of the haven’s destruction.

...

Sometime earlier.

After Regice received Arceus’ command to leave, it had been following the warship and slowly approached Judicial Island.

On the way, Regice was using the electromagnetic cannon to drive away the opponent but failed to hit the warship.

This is the biggest drawback of the electromagnetic cannon: its low accuracy.

In battles, it usually needs to be used in conjunction with locking skills to successfully hit the enemy.

Without the lock, even if Regice aimed, it might not hit its target, not to mention it wasn’t aiming to hit in the first place.

But this led to another awkward problem. Since the electromagnetic shots were fired, the user couldn’t be sure if it would hit, and when Regice missed its aim, it ended up breaking one of the ship’s masts, almost causing them to be wiped out.

Yet, everything turned out without incident, allowing them to return safely to Judicial Island.

”Alert! Something’s been following us! It’s a dangerous monster!”

The soldiers returning to Judicial Island shouted anxiously. Those guarding had no clue what was happening, but seeing the panic on their faces, they pressed the switch in their hands.

Accompanied by mechanical sounds, the Gate of Justice began to close. As the Gate of Justice closed, they breathed a sigh of relief.

”Don’t relax! Quickly prepare the heavy weapons! That thing can fly... no wait, it seems to float. Whatever it is, there’s a problem!”

The Gate of Justice was impossible for ordinary people to bypass because the currents on both sides of the gate were reverse vortices caused by whirlpools, using the power of The Sea itself to prevent other ships from advancing.

This is the Triangular Sea Flow restriction device. It doesn’t have walls or anything like that.

Building a fence around the entire whirlpool was simply impossible, something that even the sea king himself couldn’t invest in.

After Arceus left for a while, the whirlpools returned, but that didn’t affect Regice.

It floated over; the currents couldn’t hinder it.

Shortly after the soldier finished speaking, Regice floated outside the Gate of Justice and directly arrived at the Bridge of Hesitation on Judicial Island.

This was typically the required path for transporting prisoners on Judicial Island, but the reverse invading Regice broke straight into the heart of Judicial Island. Seeing the enemy’s flag hung on the Tower of Justice, Regice realized it had come to the right place.

”Regi....”

The glowing dots on its face flashed alternately. Regice thought it had found the ”mastermind” and then unleashed ruthless destruction on Judicial Island.

Regice initially did nothing but stand on the land of Judicial Island, and then extreme cold emanated from its body, with ice starting to spread across Judicial Island.

The defending troops tried to bombard Regice with cannons, but the explosive shells couldn’t damage Regice’s icy crystal body at all.

Neither the legal canine units riding dogs nor the Guilty Jury wielding giant maces could stand against Regice.

Thud!

The Guilty Jury’s iron ball struck Regice, but the cold stream spread along the chain to the man’s hand, turning him into an ice sculpture.

Furthermore, Regice’s arms began to unleash Ice Beam in all directions, instantly turning Judicial Island into an icy wasteland, mercilessly freezing anyone who got close to Regice.

Facing that towering block of ice, Judicial Island’s soldiers became helpless, and in the end, the two giant gatekeepers from the front gate were also sent to battle.

They were originally members of the Giant Soldier Pirates but were deceived by the World Government.

Due to a duel, Dorry and Brogy fell out of contact, and the World Government seized this opportunity to deceitfully claim their leaders had been imprisoned and that they would be released if they worked for the World Government for 100 years.

Misled by lies, these two giants became the gatekeepers of Judicial Island, tasked with defending the gate.

To reclaim their leaders, even against an unknown creature, they raised their weapons to fight, but it was futile; it only resulted in two larger ice sculptures on the island.

When Regice departed, nothing but ice remained on Judicial Island.

...

”That unknown entity destroyed all the buildings on the island, nearly flattening Judicial Island. It had a strong sense of purpose; whether the two giants or the ordinary soldiers, they were all alive after thawing.

But the officials inside the Tower of Justice all perished under its bombardment. According to intelligence, this entity is directly related to the Hundred Beasts.

Of course, this matter should not be disclosed outside. If news of three major institutions falling to pirates spreads, the World Government’s reputation would be completely tarnished.

This footage can be shown to the Navy’s high-ranking officials, but there’s no need for a widespread announcement.”

Judicial Island and Navy Headquarters are two independent institutions. Most of the time, Impel Down is managed by the Navy, but Judicial Island is managed and controlled by the CP Mechanism, which is why Sengoku was previously unaware of this news.

”I understand. Additionally, Blackbeard from the Seven Warlords of the Sea was killed by King’s hand after his betrayal. Moonlight Moriah is missing and presumed dead, leaving a vacancy in the Seven Warlords...

”Quickly fill it. The position of the Seven Warlords cannot remain vacant. If there are suitable pirates, you can report them.

As for the Navy’s losses, you need not worry. The World Government will soon conduct a new round of global recruitment to fill the vacancies, and the compensation will be issued quickly.”

In this respect, the World Government never delays. They are fully aware of the Navy’s crucial role on The Sea and its vital importance to the World Government’s rule.

With new orders in hand, Sengoku left Mary Geoise, and new Wanted Posters spread across The Sea with the News Bird. Within the Hundred Beasts Pirates, Arceus’ bounty surpassed Kaidou’s for the first time...
