Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 1043: Chapter 1034: The Dragons’ Disdain, the Gap Between Both Sides

”But... but I just... Fine, if you don’t want to talk, then let’s not talk...”

Facing Yamato’s aggressive gaze, ”Yamato” ultimately chose to compromise. The temptation to leave Wano Kuni was too great for her.

If it weren’t for the fact that she couldn’t defeat ”Kaidou” and was shackled with explosive cuffs, she would have escaped long ago.

The unrestricted ”Kaidou” led to ”Yamato’s” severe rebellion through his educational methods, compounded by the influence of a mysterious soul device, ”Yamato’s” mindset was hard to change. It’s impossible to help her find herself with just a few words.

Yet Yamato understands herself very well, she knows best how to deal with ”herself.” Forcing won’t work, she needs incentives, and for the current ”Yamato,” nothing is more tempting than leaving.

Reflecting on herself, she even thought of the terrifying days she volunteered for training by Kaidou to set sail.

”That’s right, when you get out, you’ll understand, that Oden’s voyage was just one among many pirates; the experiences of the old crew members of the Whitebeard Pirates and the Roger Pirates won’t be less than his.

Including that asshole father of yours, his voyages were likely spectacular too, but seeing you like this, there’s probably no chance to communicate.

I’ll find time to make you a new naval log, guaranteed to be more exciting than Oden’s.”

Kozuki Oden didn’t sail independently; he first left Wano Kuni with the Whitebeard Pirates and was later taken by Roger. Before that, he hadn’t left Wano Kuni at all.

Thus, no matter how it’s written, his naval log is just a summary of the Whitebeard Pirates and Roger Pirates’ voyages.

Those legendary pirates’ experiences aren’t inferior to Oden.

It’s just that Kozuki Oden benefited from being the first impression, Yamato now wants to change ”Yamato’s” idol, gradually remove this residual influence inside.

If it were someone else, it would be difficult to replace Oden’s status, but Yamato is different because she is herself.

The other self lives blissfully, enjoying a fulfilling life, ”Yamato” can’t possibly not envy; Yamato saw her eyes glinting just now.

The bizarre educational methods of ”Kaidou,” the brainwashing of diaries, the influence of a closed environment; ”Yamato” becoming like this is a result of many factors intertwined, Yamato plans to let her see the colorful world outside, then slowly bring her back.

She can’t believe that a ”poor kid from the mountains” wouldn’t change a bit after seeing the dazzling lights and bustling scenes of The Sea.

”Alright, now let’s first take a look at this Wano Kuni.”

Yamato moved her body intending to take ”Yamato” away from Ghost Island, but somehow, she suddenly realized she was more familiar with the power of Zekrom.

Out of sight, the debate between Zekrom and Reshiram continued, but both dragons inadvertently changed their direction.

”See, Reshiram, this is what it looks like without ideals; without ideals, she’d turn into that kind of fool.”

”What nonsense are you talking, Zekrom, this is what it looks like without reality; she’s too unrealistic, which is why she falls into that completely fictitious ideal!”

Facing Yamato, the twin dragons disagreed, but when facing ”Yamato,” they had given up, even considering pushing her into the other’s camp to prove their point.

Due to the overly hollow and unrealistic dreams, Zekrom’s sense of recognition towards Yamato rose, even Reshiram started to reflect on himself.

Some things fear comparison; with an even worse one, Yamato’s status instead rises.

...

”Why can your Okuchi no Makami fly? And can the Okuchi no Makami use electricity?”

”Oh, Okuchi no Makami can’t fly, but my ability fused with Kyurem’s power, my adoptive father helped me with it. The lightning was also a test from my adoptive father.”

”.....”

”Yamato” didn’t speak, just showed a look of envy, and at this moment, Yamato fanned the flames.

”By the way, my fruit isn’t afraid of water, I can swim.”

She has a certain obsession with swimming; to not be hated by The Sea, she initially didn’t want to eat this fruit until Arceus removed the negative impact through modification, allowing her to gain this ability.

According to ”Yamato,” she ate the fruit out of starvation, so she must have regrets about it.

And indeed, as Yamato guessed, ”Yamato” began grabbing her own horns and venting frustrations, a response of envying others, and a gesture to cozy up to Arceus.

In most cases, they could be satisfied, the only failure was asking Arceus to stop enhancing Kaidou.

”Alright, there’s more for you to envy later, we should go see this Wano Kuni now.”

”Ha???”

Yamato’s biting remarks made ”Yamato” feel liver pain, but at this moment, a group of pirates suddenly raced over from the side.

Wolf-headed with crab hands, lower body insects, these are considered normal, there are even oddities with heads turned into butts.

”What the hell are these things...”

”Kaidou’s Assigner Legion, don’t you have them on your side?”

”On our side, we don’t call such strange things Assigners, they are defective goods sold out...”

The definition of Assigner is completely different between the two worlds, the low-quality exported version that Arceus despises is a treasured asset to ”Kaidou,” who uses it to create his Zoan-type Legion.

However, this hundreds-strong artificial Zoan-type Legion and the Divine Favorer Legion have almost nothing comparable, even a dozen inferior Divine Favorers are enough to handle this group of degraded ability users.

”Really, then yours must be better.”

”Of course, if it were my side, there wouldn’t be such a long wait, someone would have come over long ago.

Not to mention we’ve been chatting for so long, I’d be discovered as soon as I got out of the water. You wouldn’t know, Uncle Queen’s persecution delusions are extremely serious, but this ’Queen’ has no sense of crisis.”

”You mean Queen, it seems he’s here too.”

”Yamato” pointed a finger to the side, Queen was also approaching, holding a torch.

The sun hadn’t fully risen yet, much of Ghost Island remained shrouded in darkness.

The construction of Ghost Island here is quite primitive, there’s no wiring laid, nor is there an Electivire-grade generator, so lighting remains as old-fashioned as torches.

”Really, then let’s let them settle down for a bit first, ’Kaidou’ is quite troublesome, better let my Stand attract them for a while longer, you shouldn’t be too afraid of the cold, right?”

”It’s alright, what are you planning to do?”

”Of course, it’s to deal with these troublesome people, Frozen World!”

Yamato returned to Human-Beast Form, snowflakes began falling from the sky, and a chilling shockwave spread rapidly from Yamato, engulfing all of Ghost Island....
