Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 1030: Chapter 1021: The Girls’ Small Clique, Wano Kuni’s Live Exercise

Ghost Island, Wano Kuni Defense System Control Room, Queen returned here smoothly and saw Setsuna and Zeraora in the control room.

”How is it? Is the defense system I created still useful? Did those World Government lackeys learn their lesson?”

Queen knew that CP0 took advantage of the main forces leaving Ghost Island to invade here, and now he was very concerned about the power of his defense facilities, as it was directly related to his safety.

”The surveillance system is fine; those CP0 were discovered as soon as they entered Wano Kuni, but the attack system is not. Your weapons work against ordinary people, but they’re useless against the well-trained CP0.

They managed to break through your firepower and destroy the weapon system. Those laser cannons were useful, but in the end, people still had to intervene.

These things are still quite inferior to high-level combat power.”

Zeraora honestly answered Queen’s question. He personally had no issue with Queen, and they got along well enough, except when he pretended to be oblivious when his own wife caused trouble.

”Is that so? Well, it’s within expectations. Automated defense weapons are still lacking.”

This was something Queen excavated from Ohara’s books—something that could automatically distinguish enemies for attack, but he didn’t have the ability to recreate the ancient devices.

He could only combine them with the laser cannon he researched from the Bloodline Factor, eventually perfecting a similar system. He then modified the Rotom Generator, allowing Rotom to reside in those two laser cannons.

It was precisely the intelligent system of Rotom that made the weapon effective.

Sitting back in his seat, Queen pulled open his drawer and noticed something unusual about the position of the files.

”Why did you mess with this log? The defense system doesn’t need this, does it?”

”Oh, this, Miss Yamato asked me to help find evidence of your crimes to justify taking revenge on you.”

Setsuna directly answered Queen, and this sentence directly burned out Queen’s CPU, leaving him somewhat at a loss.

”Wait a minute! I understand why Miss Yamato wants to do this, but why did you directly tell me?!”

Yamato wanting revenge was also within Queen’s expectations, who wouldn’t expect it after his previous reckless actions with her.

The change in the location of the files made him understand why Yamato suddenly remembered the old issue at Fishman Island, but he didn’t understand why Setsuna said it out loud.

”Well, Miss Yamato said she changed her mind.”

”Changed her mind?”

”Yes, she said she didn’t want to find a reason anymore and plans to imitate Mr. Kaidou, simply beating you up because she doesn’t like you.”

Blinking, Queen’s expression became somewhat dazed, and Hawkins’s words once again echoed in his mind.

”[Master Queen, you can’t avoid it. According to my divination results, the disaster still hovers over you.]”

This was the divination result Hawkins left when Queen dispatched him to other islands, and now it seemed to be quite accurate...

”No, wait! Then why are you telling me?!”

”Huh? Haven’t you heard? Compared to the moment when a slap lands on your face, knowing it’s coming but hasn’t hit yet is even scarier.

Good luck, I’m going to take the kids back now. Mandfeish also brought her daughter along, so I’ll go check on the little one.”

Afterward, Setsuna left with Miaona and Wolf, leaving only Zeraora and Queen.

...

”My condolences.”

”I’m not dead yet! Seriously, can’t Miss Yamato learn something good?”

Queen clutched his face in frustration, knowing that Kaidou’s knack for being unreasonable was exceptional, and once he decided on something, basically no one could stop him.

Yamato was initially looking for reasons, but upon seeing Kaidou, she seemed to have a sudden epiphany.

”You reap the consequences of your actions, pay back yourself. Who told you to threaten mutual destruction with her during the war.”

”How do you know about this?”

This should have been a secret only known to Yamato, yet now it came out from Zeraora’s mouth, making Queen feel something was not quite right.

”Setsuna told me. They seem to have a little group against you, and Shaina is probably in it too. Don’t worry, you won’t die.”

”I... don’t want to hear that comfort at all...”

Deflated, Queen slumped down in his chair, contemplating the future, and no matter how he thought, Hawkins’s ability seemed paramount to him.

Inadvertently, Queen found himself somewhat reliant on this newcomer who hadn’t officially joined yet.

”Forget it, I’ll deal with it if it really happens. There’s no use worrying about it. By the way, how did those CP0 get in?

Isn’t that monster Zunesha outside? Along with Gyarados and Mareanie, and there’s Corviknight and Dragonite in the sky; do those people really have the means to break through this defense system?”

”They set a few boats as decoys to attract the attention of Gyarados and Mareanie, and Zunesha didn’t notice them either.

Moreover, it seems there were some skilled people among them who used thick fog to obscure the view, and then some of them used Moonwalk to climb over the walls.”

Saying this, Zeraora pressed a few buttons on the surveillance equipment, which pulled up several surveillance screens.

”I have to say, your monitoring setup is quite comprehensive. Although they entered Wano Kuni, all their actions were under surveillance.

As for their target... it’s still you. Their aim is very clear—your experimental results.”

”You didn’t step in directly?”

”Those few weren’t worth the effort, and it was a good chance to test your defense facilities and the vigilance of the people of Wano Kuni. You’ll know the details when you see them yourself.”

With a wave of his hand, the surveillance footage began to magnify, and Queen finally understood what was happening in Wano Kuni.

...

After entering Wano Kuni, a squad of CP0 scattered and the first thing they did was steal clothes.

The CP0 attire is conspicuous, and anyone could see that there was a problem. To infiltrate better, they chose to change into outfits similar to the locals.

Logically, with Wano Kuni’s population of millions, it wouldn’t be possible for everyone to know each other. As long as they spoke less, their identities wouldn’t be exposed. Unfortunately, they didn’t know that the isolated Wano Kuni has a unique identity system.

The CP who mixed into the town encountered patrols from the Shinsengumi. Unable to produce identity cards or recite numbers, in just a few words, they were completely exposed, leading to a massive samurai hunt.

Another CP0 did manage to find a laboratory, noticing a handprint-shaped indentation on the door.

Based on his experience, this CP0 believed it was a special door requiring a palm print to open, so instead of breaking in from the front, he looked for an entrance from the side.

”Mwahaha, that guy fell for it. There’s no way he’d think this isn’t a fingerprint lock, and the correct way to open this door is to push hard.”
