Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 1009: Chapter 1001: Yamato’s Epiphany, Marinfanto Disperses

Yamato felt that she discovered a blind spot. When she had not yet grown up, the gap in strength between Kaidou and her was like sky and earth, so no matter how hard she tried, she was in a situation where she was overwhelmingly beaten.

This was something unavoidable. Over time, Yamato’s strength gradually increased, and she was now a powerhouse on the same level as Kaidou, but even within the same level, there was a gap in strength.

Among monsters of this level, Kaidou represented the ceiling. Yamato still had a considerable distance before she could catch up to Kaidou, but just now, she had an enlightenment.

She herself was getting stronger, and Kaidou was not standing still either; he was striving towards an even stronger level, but as he gradually reached his bottleneck, Kaidou’s speed was also slowing down. At this rate, she could catch up to Kaidou sooner or later.

But Arceus became an uncontrollable unexpected factor. The power he granted was enough to cause a qualitative change in a person, and the stronger the person, the more intense the power Arceus’s gift manifested in them, with Kaidou being undoubtedly this kind of example.

If this strengthening continued, her dream of overthrowing her father would turn into a mere fantasy.

She clearly heard Kaidou’s words, ”This is for my stupid daughter.”

At this moment, she felt a bit like offering incense for Whitebeard; without the old man, she might have awkwardly faced Kaidou’s Mahajun Ryujin Hakke.

The root of all this was Arceus, and she desperately wanted to resolve this problem at its source.

Although Arceus tacitly approved of Kaidou’s training, she was indeed struggling to cope with this level of enhancement.

”Don’t think about such crooked means. Whatever your father has, you will not lack, and you might even have more.

But ultimately, he has lived longer than you, whether you can bridge this time gap depends only on yourself.

Work harder, the power within you is one of the few formidable ones.

Maybe it’s time to change your way of growth, as this kind of growth seems to have no enhancement for your mind.”

”If it’s not possible... how about you do it, godfather? Don’t let that old man interfere anymore, his training is really life-threatening...”

If she must train, Yamato would rather have Arceus train her, even if it means getting beaten, it would be an entirely different experience.

”Don’t worry, you won’t die. Although I never liked your father’s methods, they are indeed effective.”

No one was involved in Yamato and Arceus’s conversation; more people were watching the vanishing Whitebeard, the fall of the world’s strongest man brought them significant shock.

That was the young Whitebeard. Although the scar on Kaidou’s chest was hideous and terrifying, he ultimately won, killing Whitebeard at his peak, who even broke through himself at the last moment, proving Kaidou’s strength once again.

And among this group, there was someone with their own little thoughts.

”Louder, louder! Aren’t you guys curious about the truth?! Yamato just said it!! Are none of you interested?”

Queen’s inner voice was roaring. Yamato’s voice just now was not loud, and only those nearby heard it, but he still harbored a hope, what if the Navy heard it?

In that case, he could shake off his black pot. Although these accusations gave him a reputation, that reputation came at too great a cost. If possible, he didn’t want this kind of thing.

Unfortunately, Yamato wasn’t excited enough. If she was a bit more excited, maybe someone would have heard it.

”Thinking about it, Arceus’s power has been used to this extent. Surely no one would dump blame on me... but then again, those lunatics... might think it’s some kind of superweapon?”

Queen thus fell back into worry, but no one paid him any mind.

Whitebeard died, but Kaidou was still alive, and the war was still raging. Especially Whitebeard’s final words exacerbated their already lost war.

”Kaidou, it’s time to end. How much longer do you want to stand there?”

”Wugoooo, paying respects to a worthy opponent, there’s one less worthy fighter now. So, Navy, does anyone want another fight?”

The battle with Whitebeard was exhilarating for him; many things had been tossed aside by Kaidou. If the Navy wanted another fight now, he wouldn’t refuse.

Kaidou’s provocative gaze made many in the Navy glare, yet his terrifying strength intimidated them, and for a moment, they only glared back at him without taking new action.

Even Akainu at this point was not rash. He despised pirates but wasn’t brainless. Besides Kaidou, there were far more than one person capable of posing a threat.

”The war... is over...”

After a long while, Sengoku arduously spoke the words of the war’s end, bringing the war at its peak to a close.

Even though Sengoku’s voice was broadcasted throughout Marinfanto, the war did not immediately stop. It wasn’t until numerous commanders shouted that the bloodthirsty soldiers halted and engaged in medical work, starting to rescue the wounded.

Moreover, Law, who was supposed to appear in Marinfanto in the original timeline, encountered an accident halfway. His Polar Diving submarine first encountered a terrifying tsunami like a natural disaster, followed by a frozen ice flow.

The consecutive mishaps nearly capsized him, ultimately missing the chance to arrive at the scene.

...

After Sengoku’s ceasefire order was issued, Kaidou picked up the broken Murakumogiri of Whitebeard. At the end of the battle, Whitebeard had maintained his seismic state, causing tremendous burden on himself and his weapon.

After being hit by Dragon God Hakken, his body crumbled under the strain, disappearing into the sky, and Murakumogiri ended its life, following its master in departure, leaving only the broken sword hilt as its sole legacy.

”Your dad’s relic, keep it safe. Newgate left a very interesting message, and surely the future era will be more exciting.

As for his death, I welcome you to seek revenge if you’re ready to face death, then come.”

Placing the broken Murakumogiri in front of Marco, Kaidou transformed back into the Cyan Dragon. The Origin and all the Hundred Beasts under Kaidou’s flame clouds left Marinfanto, but midway, Arceus seemed to say something, so Kaidou changed direction.

The remaining people in Marinfanto, under Red Hair’s leadership, departed from here and returned to the New World. Luffy also left with the remnants of the Whitebeard Pirates, heading towards the Shampodi Islands.

However, the impact of the war had not ended; Whitebeard’s will gave journalists another headline and stirred new waves on the sea.

Meanwhile, the Navy’s aftermath work was extremely complicated. Marinfanto was destroyed, the Navy Headquarters became ruins, even the islands became fragmented. To rebuild a fortress here would require a massive land reclamation project.

As the marshal of the Navy, Sengoku wasn’t overseeing the situation; instead, he went to Mary Geoise where the Five Elders were waiting in the conference room.

”Sengoku, do you have anything to say about this war?”

”No, didn’t you instruct the ceasefire yourselves?”

”That’s right, the ceasefire was our instruction. Executing the ceasefire was not a problem, but we didn’t let you turn Marinfanto into a stage for Kaidou and Whitebeard to run amok!”

The Five Elders didn’t look pleased. Whitebeard’s one sentence had a devastating impact on The Sea...
