Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 1034: Chapter 1025: Queen’s Face, Future Paths

The Metapod capable of defeating Rayquaza with Electroweb only exists in the games; for Metapods in reality, Electroweb is just a special means of self-defense. Their most common method is still hardening.

When targeted by predators, Metapods typically harden their shells continuously, making them tougher so that predators lose interest in them.

After gaining abilities, Frankerise acquires a layer of powerful armor. Unlike Tekkai, most people become immobile when activating Tekkai due to its conditions of use, but Frankerise can move freely.

When Metapod becomes an ability, it means the user can maintain a full-body Tekkai and move freely.

Compared to defending with Haki, the shell of Metapod consumes much less. Monsters like Kaidou are rare, so the grassroots officials must pay attention to their consumption state.

Even though Frankerise becomes green after gaining abilities, he doesn’t mind. Instead, he taps his fist and looks over at Hamlet. The battle among the new Divine Favorers is customary, but this time it’s different.

”Alright, if you want to test your abilities, find a spacious place to do it yourself! Now, let’s start the banquet!”

This event emphasized celebration; even Kaidou postponed extra training for Yamato until after the banquet, indicating that Frankerise and Hamlet’s fight was also delayed.

”Lights!”

Seeing Kaidou return to his seat, Queen began to let loose. With a snap of his fingers towards the sky, the bright lights suddenly dimmed, leaving only enough light to see people’s silhouettes above.

”Cherish it, little ones, this is even rarer than the Golden Kagura celebration! Music!”

zlzlzl~

Alongside the sounds of Taiko and electric guitar, a wave of disc jockey sound spread throughout the hall.

”If I slimmed down, I would be too popular~ I’m the type who deliberately doesn’t slim down~ Funk! I’m the type who can sing and dance~ Funk!”

Crack...

At the exclusive seat for high-level officials, Shaina lost control for a moment and crushed the cup in her hand.

”This guy started again...”

”Just treat it as entertainment, it’s not the first time, and besides, Big Sis Shaina, Big Bro Queen is quite amusing.”

Next to her, Olga watched the performance below with interest, even tossing out a few illusions to enhance the atmosphere.

”King, what do you think?”

”Jack has started challenging the disaster status again recently. I hope Big Bro Kaidou doesn’t add more positions and just replaces this guy.”

The mask obscures others from seeing King’s expression, but his tone reveals he feels humiliated by being compared to Queen as one of the Three Disasters.

Queen only sings and dances in front of his own people. If he did it in front of the enemy, King would probably clear the door directly.

”It’s that time again, doesn’t this guy feel embarrassed?”

”If he could feel awkward, the sun would rise from the west tomorrow.”

King and Shaina have already predicted Queen’s future, seeing that every big banquet, he comes up with some tricks.

”Everybody get hyped! Just about time for the customary roll call!”

”Oh!”

The high-level officials aren’t interested, but Queen does have quite a few fans among the ordinary pirates, including some young fangirls who fainted from being overly excited upon seeing him.

”This time, let’s start with... the Givers!”

With Queen’s shout, the Givers on site responded to him, followed by some Divine Favorers, including members of the Arceus Sect, and certain Pokemon gathered on Ghost Island giving Queen some face, until finally...

”Top-notch Divine Favorers! Single-digit Numberers, let me hear your voices!”

”Oh.”

There was no awkward silence; Mandfeish blandly responded, but beyond that, no other sound was heard, even Queen’s band paused because of it.

...

”Dad, why are you the only one to respond to that uncle?”

Young Melo didn’t understand why it suddenly went quiet and curiously asked his father.

”Ah, this, they’re all colleagues, just my approach is different from theirs.”

Hundred Beasts factions are numerous. From the top layer consideration, they can be divided into Arceus faction and Kaidou faction. Under these two, they’re further divided into different factions according to the high-level officials.

The divide between Arceus and Kaidou factions can basically be ignored; as long as the two don’t fall out, Hundred Beasts, this combination of politics and religion, won’t fall apart.

As for the factions below, Mandfeish has always been the nice guy, able to talk to everyone, and if conflicts arise among the low-level officials, it’s usually Mandfeish who mediates.

...

Queen didn’t mind this sort of thing. Like Shaina said, he always causes awkward moments doing this, yet he never gives up the event, turning to interact with others right away.

Meanwhile, Yamato left her kiddie area and joined the Sky Island group participating in the banquet.

”Robin, long time no see.”

”Hasn’t been long, from leaving Alabasta until now, it hasn’t even been two months, really.”

”I’m just saying, don’t mind the details. But, here are my compiled issues over these two months, you’d better help me analyze them.”

Yamato opened the notepad in her Rotom Phone, planning to discuss some brainy activities with Robin.

”Let’s wait, I’ll check after the banquet ends.”

”Eh, are you interested in Uncle Queen’s show?”

”Hmm... it’s quite interesting, I think Queen’s image... is sort of cute.”

”....”

Yamato suddenly remembered that while Robin’s intelligence is high, her aesthetic sense is rather unique, having her own set of standards for appearance and names.

”Then let’s chat later, but do you have any plans for the future?”

”Plans? I’m going to Charizard Island to research those Charmanders first; I heard a unique ecosystem has already formed there, then head to Giant Country for a look. I got some information from Saul, and I want to verify it.”

”It’s different from my planned route, but we do have some places in common...”

While enjoying the show, Robin and Yamato discussed future travel plans, eventually deciding to travel together first, until they part ways upon reaching Giant Country.

...

Elsewhere, in the elderly group at the venue, Asie was chatting with Nightin, only to receive shocking news from Nightin.

”You... you’re leaving?”

”Not confirmed yet, but I’m planning to report to Mr. Kaidou and Mr. Arceus. If the information is accurate, I should go.”
