Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 1037: Chapter 1028: If I Can’t Beat the Original, Can’t I Beat the Knockoff?

As everyone knows, besides the Thundering Hakken, there might be Thunder One to Seven Hakke in the world. This kind of description is usually used to demonstrate the disparity between the opponent’s strength and Kaidou’s.

In Yamato’s view, although this ”Kaidou’s” Thundering Hakken was learned quite decently, it is far from the real Kaidou’s Thundering Hakken, let alone the upgraded series like Dragon Dance Hakken, Sword Dance Hakken, Mountain Collapse Hakken, etc.

The appearances of the two were almost identical, Yamato did not notice any flaws.

However, when the two sides collided, she naturally detected something unusual. Of her twenty-six years of life, at least twenty-three had been spent getting beaten, and in recent years, Kaidou no longer holds back and would never deliver such a feeble Thundering Hakken.

This ”Kaidou” shared her sentiment. Although he didn’t understand how his idiot son got the handcuffs off, even without them, she couldn’t possibly unleash such a powerful Thundering Hakken.

Just two days ago, ”Kaidou” had thrashed ”Yamato,” and in just under two days, she could not have possibly broken through to this extent.

”Who are you? My stupid son doesn’t have this kind of strength.”

”I should be asking who you all are?! Where have Father and Godfather gone? Also, are your ears and eyes just decorations?? Or is there a problem with the gender definitions here?”

”Who am I? Well, asking me who I am on my own turf, you’re quite bold, aren’t you? Of course, I’m Kaidou.”

Large patches of blue dragon scales appeared on the surface of ”Kaidou’s” body, and the tail that grew from the back swung away a few pirates who couldn’t dodge in time. In ”Kaidou’s” view, this was someone impersonating ”Yamato.”

Although he didn’t know the purpose, her strength was quite formidable. Since that’s the case, then a fight it is.

”You’re Kaidou, right? Then I won’t hold back.”

Watching ”Kaidou” enter the Dragon Form, Yamato’s processor almost burned out. There is always only one Devil Fruit at the same time, which remains a consensus on The Sea. Apart from Arceus’ ability, Yamato had never seen someone with the same ability.

That he could even get his hands on an Azure Dragon Fruit indicated that this matter was more complicated than she thought.

But that didn’t affect her willingness to fight.

”I’ve been wanting to knock you down... for a long time now!”

Yamato’s ultimate ideal—overthrow Kaidou to achieve true independence.

The real Kaidou she couldn’t defeat just now, but from the engagement earlier, she confirmed one thing: this was a low-quality version.

If the authentic one can’t be beaten, can’t she still have fun with a pirated version?

As for where exactly this was, talking about it after the fight wouldn’t be an issue.

With this in mind, Yamato also transformed into Human-Beast Form. Though this ”Kaidou” was no match for Kaidou, using human form to KO a Human-Beast Form was still a bit too much.

”The same ability? No, this isn’t Okuchi no Makami, so she’s definitely not ’Yamato.’

”Kaidou’s” transformation was of no difference, but Yamato’s transformation was entirely different, with Kyurem’s version of Okuchi no Makami having much more dragon elements, making it much sharper than the original Okuchi no Makami.

”Okay then, let me see what made you bold enough to say something like Thunder Seven Hakke, Thundering Hakken!”

”I’ve been wanting to practice on you, this is something good prepared for my real father! Icefall Hakken!”

The power of extreme cold spread from Yamato’s body, and after the return of the Icicle Plate, Yamato became a beneficiary again. The previous Ice Power within her was obtained by converting Okuchi no Makami’s ice attribute through the Draco Plate.

Though this power was gradually perfected with the help of the newborn Kyurem’s power, it was still lacking somewhat. After the return of the Icicle Plate, Yamato’s Ice Power reached its peak in the true sense.

Frost spread over Aken, and the Extreme Cold Power was hidden beneath a shell of Haki, exploding upon contact with ”Kaidou.”

The cold surge almost engulfed the entire room, and ”Kaidou,” being the direct attack target, was frozen into a giant ice sculpture.

”Big Brother Kaidou?!”

”Queen’s” eyes were almost popping out of his goggles. He couldn’t believe that Kaidou was ”knocked out” with one strike by the enemy.

But this was merely an appearance.

Crack, crack...

Flames erupted from ”Kaidou’s” body, breaking through the ice layer under the support of the fiery heat, regaining freedom, though involuntarily shivering, an unnoticed trace of cold air escaping from his mouth.

”Hmm, it seems like at most it’s just a restriction; this move doesn’t work as a killer move, it’s useless against Father.”

Since the pirated Kaidou could handle this move, the authentic one would certainly respond more easily, so Yamato redetermined the use of this move.

And ”Kaidou” didn’t care about Yamato’s madness, he even forgot how they started fighting in the first place.

This was a powerful opponent, and at that moment, he only wanted to enjoy the battle, everything else could wait till later.

Both were driven by the thought of satisfying personal desires as they began the battle, and all of this was clearly observed by another Ghost Island.

...

”Indeed, this girl has prepared quite a bit for me, giving her a bottom line is still able to bring pressure.”

On Ghost Island, on the top floor, Arceus unleashed his power to create a projection, watching Yamato’s performance with Kaidou.

Watching Yamato fight ”himself,” Kaidou had a meaningful smile on his face.

His Mahajun Ryujin Hakke was indeed prepared for Yamato, but he never said it was his final trump card. Letting Yamato know this move was just to force her to research something new.

Watching Yamato’s fight, Kaidou felt his goal was achieved and began plotting a new set.

”But... what exactly is that place? Is it a fictional realm like that Dragon Space?”

”No, that space actually exists. If I have to say, it’s a real world without me.”

”Is that so? It really seems like it. If you didn’t meddle, I indeed wanted to turn Ghost Island into that kind of place. What are you trying to achieve by sending her there? A training experience or what?”

”Another form of trial. Her life is a bit too idealistic, just the right time to show her the real world and let her experience how brutal the Pirate World really is.”

”Haha, you’ve really thought it through. You guys! Don’t hide there peeking, come over if you want to watch, but don’t disturb me!”

Kaidou suddenly shouted to the side, and then Maria and Ulti walked out from there, dragging along a very reluctant Page One.

In a corner unbeknown to Yamato, a public smackdown took place just like that....
