The Cheat Emperor of the Culinary World

The turnips stored by Qianlima were taken from the cold storage in the restaurant.

Turnips can grow all year round, but the tastiest ones are those that have been frosted in the field after the onset of winter, as they taste the sweetest.

Turnips harvested around last year’s Spring Festival were partly left in the restaurant’s cold storage by the kitchen staff.

Turnips are a good thing; they taste a bit like white radish, but they are warm and not cold in nature, which can invigorate energy and clear heat, very nourishing.

Originally this wasn’t a locally produced item and had to be transported via logistics, but it’s slowly becoming popular, and locals really enjoy eating it.

The pork bone and turnip soup really tastes quite good.

The taste is sweet and light, and the meat bones in the soup are very aromatic when taken out and dipped in soy sauce.

Especially since Qianlima’s soy sauce is particularly fragrant after being mixed and compounded.

With the pork bone and turnip soup came a small bowl of soy sauce and a folding knife with the Qianlima logo on it.

Using the small knife to shave off pieces of meat from the bone and roll them in soy sauce, it’s basically no longer just dipping, but rather a sort of swishing in.

The young man took a bite and squinted his eyes.

Delicious!

The taste wasn’t as overpowering as expected, the soy sauce had a very distinctive flavor, different from what he usually ate.

The meat was also very tender.

However, he stopped after a taste.

Years of eating sparingly had made his appetite increasingly small; a couple of bites would generally make him feel full.

Compared to before, he already ate quite a lot today.

At the same time, Fu Yu in the kitchen also learned about what happened in the front hall.

Gao Wenjing came over to explain what happened, and then discussed with Zhao Meng, ”Let’s send a side dish to these three customers, after all, we did mishandle things here.”

Zhao Meng nodded, ”Okay.”

After Gao Wenjing left, Zhao Meng instructed Zhang Jinyu, ”Go get three portions of lemon chicken feet and three portions of sweet and spicy radish cubes.”

Then he turned to Fu Yu and said, ”Make three portions of our special large pulled noodles to send over as well.”

If we’re apologizing, it’d seem stingy to just send one dish.

The action is done, so it must be carried out with the best effort.

Fu Yu agreed, ”Alright.”

Unexpectedly, a dispute arose just over a dish of chicken fat-fried mushrooms.

Fortunately, there was still quite a bit of chicken fat that Zhang Jinyu brought over from the pastry section, so he quickly fried another dish.

Meanwhile, the garlic vermicelli steamed scallops were also ready and carried out by a waiter.

While the kitchen was busy cooking, in the private room, three young men happily drank the pork bone and turnip soup, the meat on the pork bones had long been shaved and gnawed clean.

At this moment, the waiter came with two portions of side dishes.

The three looked together and found it quite nice!

Two medium-sized square plates were filled with lemon chicken feet and pickled radish cubes.

They’re complimentary, and yet there’s quite a bit, this restaurant is indeed very generous.

After just a taste of two pieces of chicken feet, the waiter came over again.

This time he brought a large flat round dish filled with specialty large pulled noodles.

The slightly older man exclaimed, ”This isn’t the dish we ordered!”

The waiter explained with a smile, ”This is also a complimentary dish from our restaurant for what happened just now, which really affected your dining experience. This is on us. Please try it, it’s one of our specialties, and very delicious!”

The three exchanged glances, pleasantly surprised, and eagerly picked up their chopsticks to taste the dishes.

Soft and refreshing, with a delicate texture, the rich sesame sauce intermingling with the aroma of chili peppers, it melts in your mouth, tasting refreshing and sweet.

While they were devouring the dishes, the young lady also received complimentary side dishes from the restaurant.

”Oh! Not bad! They actually gave us two plates.” Her friend smiled while picking up a piece of radish to eat.

Crunchy!

Sweet and spicy taste, not too spicy, very juicy, making it very refreshing to eat.

The young lady pursed her lips, her mood settling slightly, as her fingers moved quickly over the keyboard, ”Doesn’t matter if they send side dishes! I still have to expose their restaurant! It’s really outrageous, randomly letting someone cut in line and intercepting dishes! I’ll post this on the short video platform later to let everyone see!”

Her friend picked up another piece of radish, didn’t eat it herself, but fed it to the young lady’s mouth, persuading, ”Let it go, you said that child has anorexia, right? Maybe it’s true as they said, usually he can’t eat anything, and now that he finally wants to eat, his family is anxious and asked the waiter for help. It’s understandable.”

The young lady, busy with her hands, sensed something at her mouth, instinctively opened her mouth to receive it.

Chewing it, the sweet and slightly spicy radish juice slid down her throat, tasting good!

Her mood improved a bit more.

Her fingers slowed down their movement, but still continued.

”Came to the time-honored Qianlima restaurant with eager anticipation, the experience was very unpleasant, the staff privately...”

As she was typing, her companion alerted her that the waiter came, so she looked up.

The waiter brought another dish and said, ”Please enjoy.” as he turned to leave.

The young lady exclaimed in surprise, ”This isn’t the dish we ordered!”

The waiter explained with a smile, ”This is a dish our restaurant is giving to you, the issue earlier affected your dining experience, and we apologize. This is one of our special dishes, very delicious, please try it!”

The young lady widened her eyes in surprise, not only the small dishes, but they also gave another dish?

The waiter finished speaking and left.

The young lady, with mixed feelings, looked at the mountain-like heap of specialty large pulled noodles.

Her friend whispered, ”Their service is really admirable! Actually, thinking about that matter just now, that mother and child are quite pitiful, it’s quite similar to depression, living is very painful...”

The young lady looked at the large pulled noodles in front of her, then the words she just typed on her phone, and silently pressed the delete key.

The waiter returned to the kitchen, and soon brought another specialty large pulled noodles to the mother and son’s private room.

The female customer glanced at the plate of large pulled noodles on the table, her face softened slightly.

This dish is quite good, although not expensive, it’s very refreshing to eat.

This time the waiter was experienced and didn’t wait for them to ask, explaining proactively, ”This is a complimentary dish from our restaurant, we apologize for the issue earlier which affected your dining experience, this is one of our special dishes, very delicious, please try it!”

The female customer: ”...”

Their face felt a bit hot.

It was clearly because of her that the situation turned out this way.

Yet the restaurant gave her a compensatory dish.

This...

The young man said lightly, ”Mom, the service in this restaurant is really good.”

The female customer nodded and sincerely said, ”Indeed, no wonder it’s a time-honored brand, it’s different.”
