The Cheat Emperor of the Culinary World

Thinking this way, Fu Yu quickly came to his senses again, and gratefully said, ”President Liu, thank you for thinking so highly of me. However, I truly feel that my current treatment is already quite good. Especially given my current situation, I really can’t spare any time to come over, and with the compensation you offered, I truly feel unworthy.”

Liu Yu couldn’t help but take another look at Fu Yu.

This young man not only has good culinary skills, but also conducts himself with great steadiness.

If before Liu Yu felt more of a sense of cherishing talent towards Fu Yu, he now truly appreciated this poised and humble young man standing before him.

Liu Yu’s tone was noticeably more sincere, and he shook his head with a smile: ”No, you misunderstood. The compensation I want to offer you isn’t based on the short-term benefits you can bring to us here, but rather on the future changes and support you would bring once you truly join us.”

Having been in business for many years, Liu Yu was knowledgeable and experienced, and his conversational skills were naturally much higher than the average person.

He looked at Fu Yu and spoke sincerely and thought-provokingly, ”You might know a little about the specific compensation for our back kitchen here, but in terms of benefits, you probably don’t know much, right?”

Fu Yu nodded.

Originally, he came to work part-time, making money for each day worked, so the store’s benefits didn’t really concern him.

He just knew that whether in terms of base pay or commissions, it was better here than where he was, otherwise he wouldn’t have felt envious and moved when he heard Zhao Meng was thinking about switching jobs.

Liu Yu explained carefully: ”In the back kitchen, it doesn’t matter if you don’t know about other positions’ compensations, but you should know a thing or two about the benefits and compensation for the chef position.”

”The base salary for a chef here is set at 5000, which isn’t very high, because here the commission is mainly based on the number of banquets.”

”For setting up one banquet, the chef can earn a commission of 10 yuan, providing three meals a day, and in addition, the store pays three insurances and one fund for the chef and head chef.”

”Moreover, the bonus distribution I mentioned earlier will be officially implemented today. After all, as the store’s business keeps getting better and the profits become quite impressive, we, as the bosses, see the contributions of the hard-working back kitchen staff and front hall service staff and naturally won’t treat them poorly.”

No matter how much sincerity was in Liu Yu’s words, Fu Yu was quite moved by what he heard.

On one hand, the implied meaning in Liu Yu’s words was clearly telling Fu Yu that as long as he is willing to come work in the future, he is guaranteed to be positioned as a chef.

On the other hand, because Fu Yu had climbed up from the lowest levels, and having just been converted to a full-time employee last month, he hadn’t fully adjusted to his current status.

In terms of mindset and self-awareness, he still remained in his previous position as an assistant.

So, hearing Liu Yu talk about the chef benefits at the music restaurant, his only thought was that the music restaurant was much better than Qianlima.

No wonder Zhao Meng thought about switching jobs.

If it were him, he would have broken the contract and left long ago.

And Liu Yu has such a sharp eye!

Back in the day, he was able to spot Yao Shi’s talent at a glance and went all out to connect and coerce Yao Shi into opening a restaurant together.

He’s not just any ordinary person.

Now, Liu Yu makes a friendly gesture treating Fu Yu with a kind older brother’s attitude.

Yao Shi, sitting on the side, couldn’t help but twitch his mouth.

It was exactly like back in the day when Liu Yu coaxed him into partnership!

With a mix of humor and helplessness, Yao Shi’s gaze unconsciously fell on Fu Yu.

Liu Yu has such a powerful presence; when others sit and chat with him, he inadvertently becomes the controller of the conversation and the undeniable focal point of the room.

Fu Yu quietly sat there listening while Liu Yu spoke, and the office ceiling was intentionally raised high to make the space appear more spacious.

The high ceiling and wide space made the room seem particularly grand.

Fu Yu, wearing a well-fitted chef’s uniform, sat there smiling, allowing others to seemingly see right through his thoughts.

When Yao Shi looked at Fu Yu, this was the scene he observed.

In the wide and bright office, quietly sat a young man in a chef’s uniform.

This young man was neither tall nor strong, but his dignified sitting presence inexplicably carried an indescribable aura — not strong, but quite charismatic.

One’s excellence is undeniable.

This was a phrase Liu Yu used to compliment him when they first met.

Now, Yao Shi wanted to apply this very phrase to Fu Yu.

Thinking this, Yao Shi gazed at Fu Yu and suddenly felt a strong resemblance to his younger self.

Looking at Fu Yu, it was as if he was seeing himself when he first entered the industry.

——It seems Liu Yu has decided to poach him.

Yao Shi was rather optimistic about the outcome.

And indeed, Fu Yu became more tempted!

With a base salary, commission, bonuses, and most importantly, the store takes care of the three insurances and the housing fund.

That’s basically the treatment of a government worker, plus a salary that surpasses what the music restaurant offers.

Seeing Fu Yu’s obvious interest, Liu Yu directly said, ”Of course, I understand your concerns. Even without considering Chef Yao’s influence, based solely on who you are, we genuinely welcome you to join us.”

Yao Shi silently looked away, fully acknowledging Liu Yu’s eloquence.

In just a few words, he distanced Yao Shi from the music restaurant, aligning him with Qianlima’s head chef, and played the affection card on Fu Yu.

Liu Yu continued, ”Since you feel uncertain about the bonus, let’s do it this way: just like before, you can come over anytime to work part-time if you have the time. The terms remain unchanged. However, we will additionally handle the three insurances and one fund for you. Don’t feel pressured — we’re simply responding to the country’s call; purchasing insurance is what the store should do for its employees.”

”And of course, we won’t impose any restrictions because of this. Chef Yao has always had a good relationship with your master Zhao Meng. With him around, you can rest assured that our cooperation will undoubtedly be smooth and pleasant. If you have no objections, this arrangement will take effect starting this month. I’ll instruct the finance department to process it right away.”

Liu Yu didn’t plan to poach Fu Yu immediately; he just wanted to secure his interest now, allowing everything to naturally fall into place in the future.

The restaurant business isn’t easy to handle either, with such fierce competition.

To go far, you need to develop unique features.

And by continuously incorporating fresh talent, more ideas can be gathered, leading to even greater success.
