The Cheat Emperor of the Culinary World

This kitchen craftsman is quite incredible!

As long as I’m cooking on my own, I can randomly obtain guidance imparted by others around me!

Isn’t this like having a cheat code for learning from a master?

And although it is random, judging by the effect of the Kitchen Rising Star title, this Kitchen Craftsman title must be quite powerful too.

Thinking of it this way, I feel a bit of anticipation.

The kitchen is bustling with activity.

In the White Case District, a food runner rushed in to report: ”Chef Li, the customer is very satisfied with the children’s meal, the kid loves those two mascots and can’t bear to eat them!”

Li Shuli was discussing with White Chef Wang Chengfeng about the size needed for carving the lettuce peonies for the presentation.

He smiled at the news: ”That’s great, I thought those two mascots were quite cute too!”

Wang Chengfeng looked at Li Shuli in surprise: ”Chef Li, you really made that children’s meal?”

Li Shuli waved his hand: ”Not at all! I just helped with carving the snow scene, those two mascots were made by Chef Fu!”

Wang Chengfeng asked curiously: ”Really made it? Didn’t it give away?”

Unbelievable!

He had just seen it himself, although Fu Yu’s handling looked decent, any expert could tell at a glance that the technique was somewhat rusty.

Now saying those two mascots were made, it’s likely there wasn’t any filling inside.

After all, the custard filling is somewhat manageable, but with the crab roe filling being so runny, even he wouldn’t be able to make any design with it if it had filling inside.

Wang Chengfeng thought to himself but didn’t say anything.

After all, it was clear that Li Shuli had accepted this favor, so why should he be the one to be nosy and annoy others.

Wang Chengfeng smiled: ”I didn’t expect Chef Fu to be quite capable, I remember he used to be just an assistant in the Red Case District, and I heard he just got promoted recently?”

Li Shuli nodded: ”Yes! It’s no wonder he got promoted; his culinary skills are indeed impressive! Especially the work on the noodle case, his technique is really strong, I think it’s almost on par with yours!”

Wang Chengfeng: ”...”

If someone can’t speak properly, they really have zero emotional intelligence.

Wang Chengfeng took a deep breath: ”Hearing you say that, I also think he’s quite impressive.”

Li Shuli seriously concurred: ”Isn’t he? Really impressive, and isn’t it strange? He’s doing the work of the red case, and I’m in the business of carving, completely unrelated, but I feel he’s much better than me!”

”Ah, these young folks are truly formidable! We might accidentally get left behind on the beach like waves!”

Wang Chengfeng: ”...”

This kind of conversation is just unbearable!

...

In the Red Case District, Fu Yu was pouring oil into the pan while listening to Wang Yuxuan and Sun Qingning talk.

Wang Yuxuan gossiped: ”That kid was about to roll all over the floor!”

Sun Qingning passed over the dish just plated by Fu Yu, asking curiously: ”The parents don’t intervene?”

Wang Yuxuan held the plate in his hand: ”The parents seemed like they wanted to say something, but the grandparents were there too, as soon as the parents said a word, the grandparents got upset!”

Sun Qingning was speechless: ”That child is bound to be spoiled to ruin.”

Wang Yuxuan nodded in agreement, then said to Fu Yu: ”Chef Fu, the children’s meal you made was so beautiful! When I brought it in, the kid stopped crying immediately after just one look. Later, almost all the dishes were eaten, except the children’s meal, which they refused to eat, wanting to take it home!”

”Really? As long as the customer is satisfied.” Fu Yu smiled and reminded: ”Don’t forget the sauce dish!”

Wang Yuxuan quickly placed the small dish next to him onto the tray too, stopped chatting, and said with a smile: ”Thank you, Chef Fu!”

Sun Qingning stretched his head to see Wang Yuxuan going out from the kitchen door before retracting his gaze.

”Chef Fu, I’ve finished all the preparation work, can I handle the cooking later?”

These past few days, Sun Qingning had been as motivated as ever, diligently following Fu Yu around to assist, following every direction without hesitation.

He now longed for the opportunity to cook for everyone in the kitchen.

Usually, when it’s meal time, it’s either Zhao Meng or Gu Yunwu who organizes it, whoever is free at the moment.

They typically use ingredients left from dishes changed last minute by customers.

Now that Fu Yu and Yao Yihang have been promoted, the task of cooking big meals has fallen to them.

However, in this hot weather, working in the kitchen is exhausting; who wants to stay at the stove any longer to cook?

Sun Qingning seized this opportunity.

Although it’s just a big family meal, the ingredients used are all quality ingredients from the store.

And the key point: whoever cooks decides the dishes.

What a great opportunity to practice!

One meal with five or six dishes, frying and plating practice all in one go.

For workers like them, when do they usually get such cooking opportunities?

Fu Yu was taken aback: ”You want to cook for everyone?”

Sun Qingning eagerly pressed on: ”I can cook a few dishes now, and it’s just for everyone, so even if it’s a little off, it doesn’t matter! Later, you can guide me, and with some practice, my cooking skills will definitely improve a lot.”

Fu Yu couldn’t help but see Sun Qingning in a new light.

Didn’t expect him to have such ambition.

Fu Yu agreed readily: ”Alright, you can do it later, and I’ll watch from the side.”

After the lunch rush, Yao Shi gathered the kitchen staff for a small meeting.

”These days, business in the store has been very good, and the boss especially praised the kitchen. Our work has been excellent, especially the recently promoted Fu Yu and Yao Yihang, who have played a great leading role. Chef Zhao and Chef Gu have also worked hard, but... in the past two days, the number of orders seems to have noticeably decreased compared to before.”

Zhao Meng remained expressionless, while Gu Yunwu choked and coughed twice, short of breath.

Yao Shi continued: ”The Mid-Autumn Festival is approaching, and the store will certainly have a round of promotions by then. The boss decided to have the front desk staff contact all VIP customers from today afternoon onward to introduce the store’s related promotional benefits one by one.”

”Every year during the festival, banquet orders significantly increase. So, in the coming days, everyone must stay alert, and if you need to take a scheduled rest, do so promptly. When the orders increase, there will be no more resting allowed. This time, we must take this opportunity to showcase our store’s specialties!”

Fu Yu and Sun Qingning immediately looked delighted.

Fu Yu was pleased that he just received the Kitchen Rising Star and Kitchen Craftsman titles.

As long as he cooks on his own, he can seize the opportunity to acquire personal skills from those around him or receive meticulous guidance.

The more dishes he makes, the greater the chances of winning!

Sun Qingning, overflowing with ambition lately, wished he could stay in the kitchen 24 hours a day.

He had been working during the day and video chatting with his girlfriend at night, although it felt somewhat unsatisfying, his girlfriend supported his dedication to work.

This left Sun Qingning both surprised and encouraged.

He was determined to seize the next opportunity for promotion!

Zhao Meng had been visibly exhausted these days.

After all, in his forties, he couldn’t compare with the young, energetic workers.

Both had been cooking non-stop for days, Fu Yu would wake up after a night’s sleep and feel completely fine the next morning.

But Zhao Meng clearly showed signs of fatigue.

Fu Yu asked with concern: ”Chef Zhao, are you okay? You don’t look very well.”

Zhao Meng smiled: ”I’m fine, just tired these past few days. By the way, I have a plate of sweet and sour pork, the customer changed the dish last minute, take it for everyone to eat. As for the rest, discuss with them and just whip up a couple of dishes.”

Fu Yu nodded: ”Alright!”
