The Cheat Emperor of the Culinary World

The custard-filled snowball is ready.

Fu Yu began making the crab yolk snowball in the same way.

He was so focused that he didn’t notice Li Shuli, who, after admiring the snowball with astonishment on his face, rushed back to the carving area to work on the snow scene decoration.

The main color of the snowball is red, with golden patterns as embellishment.

Since there was no golden chocolate, Fu Yu used orange-flavored jam as a substitute.

The entire molding process seemed simple, but was actually extremely tedious.

Each step Fu Yu took appeared smooth, but he could feel the slight awkwardness.

If not for the accidental learning of Wang Chengfeng’s face carving skill, he wouldn’t have been able to do it.

This face carving is a completely different skill from making dough; he was just a newly regularized worker, it wasn’t easy to get the hang of!

After finishing the snowball, the most important work began!

Scenery setting!

Li Shuli has been at Qianlima for decades, firmly holding the position of master artisan, his skills are indeed exemplary.

A big, round radish in his hands was being peeled like an apple; the small knife moved swiftly between his fingers, peeling strips of radish with equal width.

At the end, the peel stayed intact, falling whole onto the cutting board, leaving a smooth and round white radish core.

Fu Yu brought the custard and crab yolk buns over to find Li Shuli, just in time to see him deftly using a knife on the radish core, carving a snow scene.

”Chef Li, you can carve without a draft?”

Fu Yu asked with a smile.

Talking about his profession, Li Shuli couldn’t hide his pride, ”My eyes are the ruler, and my hands are the knife. I know precisely where to slice and what to trim after just a glance.”

Fu Yu praised out loud, ”Amazing!”

While feeling secretly amazed inside.

Wow!

Watching Li Shuli’s hand movements, even though the radish core wasn’t yet fully formed,

it seemed as if he had done it countless times himself.

He could determine where the carving knife would go in the next second just by glance.

This feeling was quite mysterious!

A round-bottomed snow scene model was quickly carved out.

To accommodate the mascots, two slots were intentionally left in the middle of the snow scene.

Fu Yu carefully placed the custard and crab yolk buns into the grooves.

To prevent the mascots from moving during transport, he specially poured a ring of white chocolate around as a base.

Seeing the mascots securely fixed on the snow scene, Li Shuli finally felt relieved.

Next was carving snowflakes for the final decorative setup.

The subsequent work progressed smoothly; with the hardest face carving and snow scene carving done, the rest was simple.

Yao Shi popped over from the red side to check in and, seeing Zhao Meng could handle things, quickly returned to check on the children’s meal progress.

Li Shuli had carved a total of ten snowflakes, five large and five small.

Each was delicate and realistic, with a strong sense of depth.

When Yao Shi arrived, Fu Yu was carefully adhering the snowflakes to the snow scene with white chocolate.

Li Shuli stood watchfully by, barely breathing.

As the last exquisite snowflake was securely fixed onto the snow scene, a uniquely shaped children’s meal featuring the snowball theme was completed.

Yao Shi exclaimed, ”They look amazing! We could definitely add these to the store’s children’s menu!”

[Ding! NPC Chef Yao Shi has been inspired by you and is about to introduce Qianlima’s classic snowball children’s meal. Reward: Yao Shi Favor +10, Task XP +100, Skill Point +1]

[Ding! Task XP is maxed out; you’ve leveled up to lv5, gaining +1 Skill Point]

Fu Yu was ecstatic; he had leveled up without realizing it.

And now he had a total of 7 skill points.

Task completed and raising Yao Shi’s favorability to boot.

Fu Yu felt at this rate, he might soon replace Zhao Meng in Yao Shi’s heart.

Such an amusing thought!

How curious!

The completed children’s meal was taken away by the server.

Li Shuli immediately felt relieved.

If it weren’t for Fu Yu, he wouldn’t know how it would have ended.

The customer dissatisfaction would be certain, and he and the white team would surely have to take responsibility.

After all, the children’s meal was handled by them.

[Ding! Gained +15 Favor from NPC Master Artisan Li Shuli!]

Li Shuli looked at Fu Yu with genuine gratitude: ”Chef Fu, thank heavens for your help today, truly! Thank you! If you ever need my assistance, just ask!”

Fu Yu smiled, ”Chef Li, you’re too kind. If there’s nothing else, I’ll head back.”

It was peak time, and with Fu Yu gone for so long, Zhao Meng must be swamped.

Li Shuli didn’t insist, but his gaze toward Fu Yu had a hint of warmth.

Yao Shi also headed back to the kitchen.

After moving a distance from the white section, Yao Shi paused and turned to discuss with Fu Yu, ”I plan to add the snowball and snow theme children’s meal to Qianlima’s menu. As the innovator of this dish, I’ll request a reward from the boss for you.”

Fu Yu beamed at this, ”Thank you, Chef Yao!”

The more time spent with Yao Shi, the more Fu Yu realized how great a person he was.

He was generous and caring toward his staff.

Back in the kitchen, Zhao Meng, already aware of the day’s events, didn’t question much, casually assigned two dishes to Fu Yu to cook.

Fu Yu glanced at the orders: one braised duck platter, one sweet and sour carp.

Both were manageable.

The ducks were already braised, he just needed Sun Qingning to fetch one for disassembly.

Fu Yu deftly disassembled the braised duck and arranged it on the plate.

As he placed the last duck foot on the plate, he suddenly heard an electronic prompt:

[Ding! Successfully completed disassembly and plating 100 times, rewarded with the ”Back Kitchen Artisan” title]

Fu Yu: ”!”

He almost forgot he had received this task from the music restaurant, though the chance had never arisen to complete it until now.

Unexpectedly, the task kept accumulating!

A serendipitous sense of happiness, akin to finding random change!!

Fu Yu excitedly checked the details for the ”Back Kitchen Artisan” title.
