The Forensic Doctor Better Than a Detective

Chapter 350: Chapter 216: Fruitful Results After Solving the Case

Just as Li Jian finished speaking, a wave of applause erupted in the corridor outside the interrogation room.

The applause surged like a tide, lasting a long time before gradually subsiding.

After a while, Li Jian spoke up, ”To be honest, looking back on this case, it still makes me sweat.”

”If it weren’t for Jiang An’s timely insights and discovery of key issues, this case might have become a major blemish in Jiangcheng’s criminal investigation history.”

After years in criminal investigation work, Li Jian increasingly felt that solving cases must be approached with reverence.

Especially in cases involving two deaths, which on the surface seem flawless, but upon deeper exploration reveal many intertwined complexities.

”I propose we give the warmest applause to Jiang An!” Li Jian raised his voice, eyes full of admiration, ”As the leader of the homicide task force, he truly set an exemplary role model. On behalf of the entire criminal investigation team, I extend my heartfelt thanks to him!”

Instantly, thunderous applause erupted in the corridor again.

Everyone’s gaze turned to Jiang An, filled with admiration and approval.

Jiang An nodded slightly, a humble smile appearing on his face.

Seeing the excitement on everyone’s faces, he felt a deep sense of gratification.

After all, solving a crime not only involves capturing the culprit but also finding motivation in the sense of achievement after the capture.

”Travel a thousand miles, investigate the world.” This has always been Jiang An’s unwavering belief.

In his view, as a criminal investigator, regardless of time or place, one bears the sacred mission to combat crime and maintain public order.

Regions may have boundaries, but solving cases knows no borders.

As the applause gradually diminished, Jiang An spoke, ”Captain Li is too kind. The breakthrough in this case was primarily due to everyone’s collective effort.”

”Without everyone’s brainstorming and intelligence, we couldn’t have brought the murderer to justice so swiftly.”

Wan stepped forward, patting Jiang An’s shoulder jokingly, ”Hey, Jiang An, are you always this humble? Too much humility can turn into pride!”

Li Jian laughed and chimed in, ”Wan, you’re the one who isn’t humble, always so boisterous.”

Laughter bustled among them, the atmosphere was relaxed and congenial.

Upon leaving the interrogation room, Li Jian couldn’t wait to dial Mr. Ma’s phone.

”Hello?” On the other end, Mr. Ma’s voice was deep and steady.

”Mr. Ma, I have great news to share!” Li Jian couldn’t suppress his excitement.

”What great news? I’m in a meeting now, let’s talk after.” Mr. Ma’s tone showed signs of busyness.

Just as Mr. Ma was about to hang up, Li Jian suddenly raised his voice, ”That two-person death case, we cracked it!”

Instantly, an eager voice came from the other end, ”Hold on, I’m stepping out of the meeting room.”

Here, Mr. Ma quickly picked up his phone and walked briskly out of the meeting room.

Outside the meeting room, he impatiently asked, ”What did you say? The case with the two deaths?”

Li Jian responded excitedly, ”Yes! We just caught the culprit.”

”Who?”

”An employee from their unit named Liu Tie.”

”Are you sure?”

”Absolutely! He has confessed to the entire criminal act, which completely aligns with our previous deductions.”

For a moment, Mr. Ma was stunned.

Because just in the recent meeting, the municipal leaders had expressed special concern about this case.

The case involved a wide scope and a renowned company. Although the deaths of two employees occurred at home, the families were very emotional, and especially once it was confirmed as murder, the complexity and sensitivity of the case escalated.

After a long while, Mr. Ma asked again, ”Li Jian, this case is exceptionally significant, I need the most accurate and authoritative answer.”

On the phone, Li Jian laughed heartily twice, ”Mr. Ma, there are things I wouldn’t bet on, but when it comes to criminal investigation, I’ve never misled you.”

”Regarding confession and acceptance of punishment, it’s all rock solid, so you can definitely trust this result.”

Upon hearing this, Mr. Ma finally felt at ease.

He knew Li Jian well, after all, he was a talented officer he had personally promoted.

”Wasn’t there no clue just yesterday evening?” Mr. Ma curiously asked.

”Haha, Mr. Ma, there’s something you don’t know.”

”I used to think criminal investigation relied on experience and accumulated cases, but today I realized that young people’s thinking is much more dynamic than ours.”

”What do you mean?”

”Initially, we had locked onto a suspect but couldn’t get a confession.”

”Just as I was about to give up, Jiang An showed extraordinary insight with a clever trick, successfully confirming Liu Tie’s criminal facts.”

”Is he really that impressive?”

”Yes, I didn’t expect that under those circumstances, the deception almost fooled even me.”

”This young man, not simple!”

Instantly, a vision of Jiang An appeared in Mr. Ma’s mind.

After two minutes, he remarked, ”Jiang An truly exceeded our expectations, a standout among newcomers.”

Li Jian echoed on the phone, ”Indeed, this young lad seems young, but his thinking is far more dynamic than us old folks.”

Mr. Ma laughed and said, ”This case is highly monitored by the municipal leaders. With your successful resolution, as the director, I’m comforted, and my reputation is boosted.”

”Now that the case is solved, we must arrange for commendations and awards.”
