The Forensic Doctor Better Than a Detective

Chapter 303: Chapter 193: Searching for the Man in Black!

After a long while, Mr. Zhang said solemnly, ”Immediately compare the time this person appeared at the entrance of the shopping street with the time at the campus entrance.”

”Alright!”

Right after, the young officer moved the mouse and stretched the progress bar.

After observing carefully, he turned his head and said, ”Mr. Zhang, the time has been confirmed.”

”Li Lan appeared at the commercial street entrance of the campus at 2:07 PM, and the time at the school gate entrance was 2:20 PM.”

Mr. Zhang mumbled to himself, ”A walking time of 13 minutes in between.”

”How long is the distance on that road?”

At that moment, the young officer pulled up the flat map.

He responded, ”The distance from the entrance of the shopping street to the campus entrance is 1.1 kilometers.”

At this time, Jiang An said, ”According to our normal walking speed, young people walk about 1.5 meters per second, clearly less than 13 minutes.”

Jiang An paused for a moment, then said, ”Judging from the time, there are a few minutes of stopover time in between.”

”If I’m not mistaken, that should be the time for their conversation.”

Mr. Zhang turned and said, ”I agree with Jiang An’s opinion.”

Mr. He looked at Zhang Feng, ”Sir, although there is no surveillance in between, we can completely interview passersby at the time, and perhaps we’ll discover something.”

”This method can be used, but the hope is not great.”

”Firstly, because a long time has passed, passersby generally cannot accurately recall.”

”Secondly, even if they recall the two people, they may not remember the content of their conversation.”

Upon hearing this, Mr. He looked anxious.

He stood up and paced back and forth in the office.

”What to do now!?”

”Is this clue about to be interrupted?”

The others in the office also showed puzzled expressions.

The case progress obtained with much difficulty is really interrupted.

Zhang Feng asked, ”What about the surveillance at other locations in the campus area?”

”See if we can find the person’s figure?”

The young officer clicked the mouse to check the surveillance camera distribution.

”Mr. Zhang, that place is a newly established development zone with very few surveillance installations.”

”Therefore, even if we investigate one by one in the future, it’s not very optimistic.”

Mr. Zhang gently nodded.

He said solemnly, ”No matter what, this task must be done.”

”I don’t believe he can grow wings and disappear.”

”Yes! I’ll go retrieve the surveillance!”

After a long while, Jiang An said, ”Sir, I have a suggestion.”

”Please go ahead?”

Zhang Feng turned and asked, full of anticipation.

At this stage of the investigation, it requires a hundred schools of thought to contend, yielding sparks for solving the case.

Jiang An looked around and said solemnly, ”Since this path doesn’t work, why don’t we try another path?”

”Another path?”

”Another path?”

”Is there another way?”

...

As soon as he finished speaking, the others in the office turned to Jiang An.

It was as if at this moment, Jiang An was their mainstay, the strategist of the entire task force.

Amidst everyone’s anticipation, Jiang An said solemnly, ”Judging from the entire case, the place where the murderer chose to dispose of the body is very special.”

”After going back last night, I carefully recalled the floor plan of the office building.”

”If I remember correctly, there are 6 office buildings near the crime scene.”

”However, only Building No. 1 has an open outdoor balcony.”

”As I analyzed earlier, I believe the people working there should be our key investigation targets.”

”I suggest, next, starting from the scope of suspects, see if there’s a good breakthrough.”

After hearing this, Mr. Zhang gently nodded.

”Makes sense!”

Right after, he asked, ”Mr. He, how is the personnel investigation of that building?”

”Report, Sir, we have sorted out employees who have worked in the office building over the past 3 years, totaling 11,000 people.”

”Previously, we have conducted screening on these individuals.”

”However, we’ve found no connection between them and Li Lan.”

After pondering for a moment, Zhang Feng said, ”The preliminary screening has been conducted once, but this time the screening must focus on key points.”

Then, he glanced at the surveillance video displayed on the screen, saying solemnly, ”This time we prioritize screening male personnel.”

After hearing this, Mr. He’s eyebrows furrowed.

”Sir, two-thirds of the personnel are male, that’s quite a number to screen.”

A hint of discontent flashed across Zhang Feng’s face, ”What? Is there a problem?”

Seeing the change in the Sir’s mood, Mr. He quickly said, ”No problem!”

Afterward, Mr. Zhang looked around, said solemnly, ”Now, the suspect has already shown their tail, it’s the crucial moment for solving the case, and it’s also the decisive moment to test us, the criminal police.”

”From now on, I require the entire task force to operate around the clock, aiming to solve this case as quickly as possible.”

”Yes!”

Everyone in the office answered in unison.

Then, everyone took action.

One group went to retrieve surveillance video records from the campus area.

Another group started to verify male employees.

Five minutes later, all field personnel left the office.

Mr. Zhang glanced at his wristwatch and said, ”Comrade Jiang An, please rest in the office, I’m going to hold an emergency meeting.”

Jiang An said, ”Sir, you go ahead and take care of your business!”

Then, Mr. Zhang also left the office.

At this moment, the large office only had Jiang An, Zhang Yean, and Wan left.

After watching Mr. Zhang leave, Wan’s tense nerves loosened in an instant.
