The Forensic Doctor Better Than a Detective

Chapter 342: Chapter 212: Where to Find Evidence?

Li Yong hesitated for a moment and then spoke, ”Liang Yan is naturally beautiful, and indeed many people in our electric company secretly have a crush on her. Even when I first met her, I felt a sense of attraction in my heart.”

”However, she is now spoken for and has found a handsome guy from another company.”

”As far as I know, Liu Tie, Wang Ming, Sun Shi, Zhang Jun, and others have privately expressed their affection for her.”

Liu Tie, Wang Ming, Sun Shi, Zhang Jun...

Jiang An noted these four names in his notebook and immediately asked, ”Are these people still working at your company?”

”They all are.” Li Yong nodded in response.

Upon hearing this, Mr. Li further inquired, ”Among these people, who admires Liang Yan the most fervently?”

”Or rather, after Liang Yan and Yang Guang confirmed their relationship, whose emotions fluctuated the most?”

The opposite Li Yong lowered his head and carefully recalled, saying, ”In my view, none of them had significant emotional fluctuations.”

”It’s just that while drinking or chatting, they would mention it, as after all, a ’blooming flower’ from our unit was picked by someone else, which always felt a bit unsettling.”

Jiang An nodded and immediately asked, ”Are you familiar with Liu Tie?”

”Yes, we often hang out together,” Li Yong replied.

”In your opinion, does Liu Tie have particularly strong feelings about Liang Yan dating someone?” Jiang An continued to ask.

Li Yong quickly waved his hand, ”Not at all.”

”Although he once admired Liang Yan, we are all adults and very rational.”

”I believe he wouldn’t do anything extreme regarding this matter.”

”Moreover, they both came from the same school, so they wouldn’t do anything inappropriate,” Li Yong added.

”The same school?” Jiang An frowned.

”Liang Yan and Liu Tie graduated from the same school?”

”Yes, they both graduated from Kawasaki Institute of Technology and came to Jiangcheng in the same year,” Li Yong explained, ”But they majored in different fields.”

As soon as these words fell, Li Jian and Jiang An exchanged glances and nodded to each other.

They hadn’t expected these two to have such a connection.

Upon hearing this, Jiang An seemed to have discovered something. He realized that the investigation’s next main direction must be to delve deeper along this clue.

Then, Jiang An nodded and said, ”Mr. Li, my inquiry is over for now, I have no further questions.”

Li Jian nodded, and the two of them left the interrogation room.

Just after exiting the door, Jiang An whispered to him, ”Mr. Li, I have a suggestion.”

”Go ahead.” Li Jian stopped walking and turned to look at Jiang An.

”Should we head to Kawasaki Institute of Technology to investigate the relationship between Liu Tie and Liang Yan?” Jiang An suggested.

Li Jian’s face flashed a hint of surprise, ”They’re merely alumni, it shouldn’t be to the extent of having deep-seated hatred, right?”

Jiang An raised his hand and gently waved, ”Mr. Li, I’m not suggesting we look for deep-seated hatred between them.”

”I’m suggesting whether there might be a situation where they were romantically involved?”

”Romantically involved?”

Upon hearing this, Li Jian was stunned.

He didn’t immediately reject the idea but frowned and thought about it carefully for a moment.

After a long pause, he nodded and said, ”Just now in the interrogation room, I didn’t see any unusual flaws in Liu Tie.”

”Indeed, I didn’t find any suspicious traces on Liu Tie either.”

”However, anyone related to the deceased deserves our focused investigation, especially in cases that happen suddenly, with more than two deaths, and occur indoors.”

”The closer someone is, the more likely they are to become a suspect,” Jiang An calmly analyzed.

Meanwhile, Li Jian recalled all the information about the case in his mind.

Whether it was the scene investigation, the survey visits, or the autopsy, he hadn’t found any signs of the killer’s revenge.

In such cases, there are only two possibilities: either the killer is jealous or enamored of the victim and can’t bear to act ruthlessly;

Or, the killer deliberately hides themselves to avoid exposure.

But!

At present, both possibilities exist.

After thinking for a while, Li Jian said, ”Kawasaki Institute of Technology isn’t far from Jiangcheng, we should drive there immediately.”

Then, Li Jian dialed the phone, ”Wan, prepare a vehicle, we’re heading to Kawasaki Institute of Technology.”

Wan, who received the call, was dozing in the office.

Several days of continuous work had left him a bit exhausted.

Upon hearing the phone ring, he was a bit surprised, ”Captain, why are we going to Kawasaki Institute of Technology?”

”Don’t ask so much, it’s hard to explain over the phone.”

”We’re going to investigate Liang Yan’s romantic experiences during college,” Li Jian briefly answered.

”Investigate at the university?”

Wan wanted to ask more, but Li Jian had already hung up.

Five minutes later, a police car drove out of the Jiangcheng City Public Security Bureau’s gate.

Wan was driving, Li Jian sat in the front passenger seat, while Jiang An and Fang Yan were in the back.

Two hours later, the police car arrived at the entrance of Kawasaki Institute of Technology.

Wan turned his head and asked, ”Mr. Li, should we go straight into the campus to investigate, or rest nearby tonight and investigate tomorrow?”

Li Jian raised his wristwatch to look at it.

At that moment, it was exactly four-thirty in the afternoon, an hour before school ended.
