Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

”Absolutely unforgivable! Look at how terrified the child is! Well, thank goodness the child wasn’t completely ruined by you, or how would I explain it to the child’s parents?” Jiang Wanwan’s grandmother beat her chest and cried uncontrollably.

”You shameless old man! Life can’t go on like this; tell me, how could you do such a thing!” Shi Yukuan’s wife cried and cursed at her husband.

The village branch secretary saw that the scolding was done and tears had been shed, Shi Yukuan had been beaten miserably, and everyone’s anger had mostly been vented. They prepared to escort Shi Yukuan to the police station.

Although his actions were thwarted, everyone decided to teach him a profound lesson.

This matter cannot be easily forgotten.

The children are very young; they don’t have the ability to distinguish right from wrong, nor the ability to resist. If such things happen, they are at the mercy of others.

They need the protection of adults.

Therefore, the village branch secretary decided to lead everyone to send him to the police station for education.

The events that happened at He Family Manor were earth-shattering, yet despite their severity, they would gradually be forgotten over time.

However, in the heart of those who were hurt, it’s an insurmountable obstacle.

We can only wish Jiang Wanwan won’t be too affected by this incident and hope she can quickly return to her former joyful self.

.........

Three days later, An Hao finally freed herself from busy work.

She had been thinking about the events in He Family Manor, and as soon as her day off arrived, she quickly took a car there.

Familiar with the place, she found the He Family easily and stood at the entrance, seeing Ning Chenguang and He Yue playing in the yard.

Under white clouds and blue skies, with the autumn breeze gently blowing, it brought a sense of tranquility and pleasure.

An Hao smiled as she walked into the yard and gently called out, ”Guangguang!”

Ning Chenguang heard the voice, turned his head towards the entrance, saw An Hao standing there, and his eyes suddenly lit up.

He shouted ”Mom”, stood up and quickly rushed into her embrace.

”Dad, Mom! Big brother’s mom is here!” He Yue saw mother and son tightly embracing, saw the happy smile on big brother’s face, and also smiled joyfully.

He Fusheng and Liang Xiuzhu hurried out of the kitchen, and seeing An Hao, warmly welcomed her into the house to host.

”I came this time to check on the child and also inquire about the situation of a little girl named Wanwan.” This was something An Hao had been concerned about.

If unresolved, she might feel uneasy about returning to Nancheng.

”That matter has been resolved.” He Fusheng said while rolling a cigarette, ”Luckily, it was discovered early. If it were any later, who knows what might have happened to Wanwan.”

”It’s all thanks to Guang.” Liang Xiuzhu, sitting beside An Hao, affectionately stroked the child’s head and said, ”He’s now a local celebrity here in He Family Manor! Such a clever child, just looking at him makes people adore him. If only his head didn’t have that problem, wouldn’t that be great?”

”Alright, don’t bring up things we’d rather avoid,” He Fusheng quickly stopped his wife from mentioning the child’s illness, knowing it’s a sensitive issue for An Hao.

”Big brother seems much better than before.” He Yue, who was gnawing on a large apple, suddenly spoke, ”I’ve noticed several times when big brother heard traffic sounds near the road, he showed no unusual reaction.”
