Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

The store owner swallowed, losing his sanity under the influence of alcohol.

Usually, he harbored some fantasies about He Yueyue, no, maybe not just He Yueyue.

As long as they were pink and tender children, he had fantasies, but some children he could act upon, and some children he couldn’t.

For instance, Jiang Wanwan was someone he could act upon. And then there are children like He Yueyue and Ning Chenguang who are not to be touched.

But today, alcohol gave him courage, alcohol stimulated his nerves, yes, he clearly knew the person in front of him wasn’t Jiang Wanwan but still he took her in his arms.

He opened his mouth and leaned in to kiss He Yueyue’s little mouth.

”Ahhh! Stay away!” He Yueyue screamed as she opened her throat, waving her small palms and slapping his face, ”Stay away from me, your mouth smells disgusting!”

The store owner was hurt by her slaps; the fire in his heart blazed intensely, and at this moment it wasn’t just anger but desire.

”You better behave! Or I’ll strip your clothes off!” he loudly threatened, hoping He Yueyue would surrender.

But He Yue is He Yue, she is not Jiang Wanwan, and she is not as weak and easy to bully as Jiang Wanwan.

She may not understand that the store owner’s behavior is infringing upon her, but she clearly knows that she doesn’t like this.

And she is very, very annoyed and angry!

Taking advantage when the store owner lowered his head to kiss her, He Yue raised her small hand and scratched his face fiercely with her sharp fingernails!

”Ahhh!” The sharp pain tore across the store owner’s face, hurting him until he gasped.

”Let me go quickly! If my mom finds out I didn’t bring salt back, she will definitely come looking for me! Then she’ll properly teach you a lesson! You bad guy!” He Yue shouted angrily.

The racket sobered the store owner significantly, and his heart skipped a beat—he narrowly avoided big trouble!

”Yueyue! Oh dear, grandpa drank too much! His head isn’t clear and he got confused, please don’t mind grandpa.” The store owner quickly appeased He Yue, afraid she would go out and shout about it.

”Humph! I hate you!” Seeing him release her, He Yue gave him a strong push and turned around, running towards the outside.

The store owner quickly stood up and chased her, grabbing a couple of snacks from the shelf to forcibly give to Yueyue.

But by the time he ran out, He Yue had already disappeared.

His mood was anxious, dejectedly turning back to the store, only to see that surrounding neighbors had gathered around.

Each one talking at once, asking him, ”Old Shi, what happened in your store? I thought I heard shouting?”

”How did you get hurt on your face?”

”Yeah, what happened?”

The store owner’s alcohol fully cleared, covering the wound on his face with one hand, responding casually, ”Nothing, nothing. Just a commotion with cats at noon in the store. I was chasing a stray cat and got scratched by it by surprise.”

”Then you better handle that wound quickly. Stray cat claws are poisonous...”

”Alright, alright! I’ll do it right away.”

He Yue returned home crying, Liang Xiuzhu had been waiting for the bag of salt that hadn’t come back, and was standing at the door looking out, only to see her daughter returning empty-handed and crying.

”What happened?” Liang Xiuzhu rarely saw her daughter cry, unless she had been wronged.
