Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

”Bringing up this matter really sets me ablaze. Secretary, you need to do something about it!” He Fusheng said angrily.

”What’s going on with old Shi? He’s a good person, and his reputation in the village is quite nice. What did he do to make you so angry?” The village secretary felt puzzled and pressed him for more information.

He Fusheng took a deep breath and recounted everything in detail to the secretary.

Including those incidents with Jiang Wanwan.

The village secretary was stunned for a while before saying, ”You’re saying all this was done by old Shi?”

”Yes, it was him!” He Fusheng asserted with certainty.

”That’s impossible, right?” Clearly, the village secretary couldn’t associate Shi Yukuan with these actions.

His reputation in the village had always been good, and he usually carried a cheerful, kindly demeanor.

The key point is that he’s quite old, well into his sixties, and to say he did something like this is utterly unbelievable.

”Why would I lie to you? If it weren’t for these issues, I wouldn’t seek you out in the middle of the day. This is something my daughter experienced firsthand. Although the old bastard didn’t succeed, she was sobbing uncontrollably this afternoon! Tell me, if it wasn’t true, would I be this urgent?” He Fusheng, an honest man, became more anxious as he spoke.

”I can testify, I heard and saw it myself, and if you don’t believe me, you can ask Jiang Wanwan.” Ning Chenguang stood up to bear witness, ”Jiang Wanwan is especially scared and has me go to the store to buy things for him each time.”

”You have to believe us. He’s just a bad old man, I even scratched him a little! Really, I’m not lying to you!” Yueyue said, bursting into tears as she recalled, crying her heart out.

The village secretary found these matters strange enough; old Shi had a good reputation in the village, but He Fusheng was also renowned for his honesty.

He is genuinely kind, deliberates thoroughly, and wouldn’t speak nonsense if these things hadn’t occurred.

Moreover, He Yue is his biological daughter, and speaking of such things is quite shameful.

Even though He Yue suffered some grievances, it’s a topic that would sound unpleasant in everyone’s ears in the future.

”I understand. But we can’t just rely on oral statements for these matters, and if true, it is no small affair. I have an idea, why don’t you come with me, and we can convene a meeting in the afternoon.”

”What meeting?”

”Gather the leadership team for a meeting. You can repeat what you know there, and everyone can discuss how to handle this matter moving forward.” The village secretary said.

”Alright, I’ll go with you.”

”Then let’s go.” The village secretary headed back, grabbed a coat, and took He Fusheng to the village office for the meeting.

Upon reaching the village office, he broadcasted through the loudspeakers, calling the village leadership to convene for a discussion on this matter.

Hearing the broadcast, the village leaders quickly gathered at the village office for the meeting.

These seven or eight people sat around the conference table and listened to He Fusheng recount the incident.

Ning Chenguang and He Yue, the two children, also stood by as witnesses.

After some discussion among the leadership team, everyone agreed that this issue must be taken seriously.

The folk customs in this village are relatively simple and honest, and there is no way to tolerate such a person disrupting these customs, nor to allow such a person to harm the country’s buds of youth.
