Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 2236: Chapter 2230: Problem Discovered

”Alright.” Yuan Yunong agreed. She turned to look at the two sleeping children in the back seat and breathed a sigh of relief, ”They shouldn’t wake up anytime soon. We need to hurry up and escape! Right now, Qin Jian hasn’t realized his children have been stolen! Once they find out, they’ll definitely order a city-wide manhunt! Then, we’ll be in trouble!”

”That’s true! So, I must speed up now and not take the highway!” said the coffee guy, ”Once it’s blocked, we’ll be in trouble! We’ll get caught the moment we hit the highway!”

”What’s your plan?” Yuan Yunong, who had just calmed her mind, was tense again, ”Make sure everything’s foolproof! Otherwise, we’ll all be finished!”

”Don’t worry! Boss Hou personally made the arrangements! The route is planned out; we’ll mainly take provincial and county roads! We’ll switch cars midway! Once we’re out of Nancheng City, you should change your outfit too, or else it’ll be too easy for people to recognize you!” the coffee guy said.

”Alright! No problem!”

”Then sit tight! I need to speed up and get out of the city!”

.........

The rescue in the hospital was underway.

In the corridor, the head of emergency department said to the principal, ”Fortunately, the children ingested sleeping pills! The dosage is safe! However, some children are in serious condition and need gastric lavage! We’ve already arranged for doctors to perform the rescue! Rest assured, it won’t cause too much harm to the children!”

”Why are some children in serious condition? Doctor, did you test clearly? Is the medication really sleeping pills?” the principal asked urgently.

”Yes! Absolutely sure.” The director nodded, very confidently, ”Principal, you need to thoroughly investigate your staff internally; why did sleeping pills appear in the children’s food? I think someone deliberately put sleeping pills in the children’s food. Also, those children with severe conditions ate more than the others. So, they ingested more medication!”

”Thank you, doctor! This matter is too serious, we will definitely investigate thoroughly!”

”Alright. I have other things to attend to, I need to get busy! If anything comes up, you can contact me!” the director said.

”Thank you!” The principal had already reported the situation to the higher-ups, estimating that the military will soon come to investigate.

She now needed to have the teachers inform each child’s parents to come to the hospital to check on their children.

Suddenly, the principal remembered what Qin Jian kept reminding her of this morning.

He said under no circumstances should the two children be allowed to leave the kindergarten gates. But this afternoon’s sudden incident made her only worry about the students’ safety, forgetting Qin Jian’s words.

Now, she must call Qin Jian to explain the situation to him.

The principal walked into the emergency department hall, where the children admitted this afternoon were located.

Now all the teachers were accompanying their class’s children, and she took a turn around the hall but couldn’t see Yuan Yunong anywhere.

The two children from Qin Captain’s family were also missing.

Her heart skipped a beat, and she hurriedly asked Mr. Wang, who was comforting children beside the bed, ”Xiao Wang, have you seen Xiao Yuan and the twins from Captain Qin’s family?”
