Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 2206: Chapter 2201: Don’t Let Anything Leak Out

”Why are you looking for this kind of expert?” Hou Zicheng asked.

”Don’t worry about it. You just need to help me find them! Preferably someone authoritative, who can quietly come to Nancheng! Remember, don’t let the news leak out!” Yuan Yunong said.

”Okay, I understand.” Hou Zicheng, heart pounding, hung up the phone after listening.

He hesitated for a long time, wondering whether he should report this to Hua Jin.

However, when he stepped out for a walk, he realized that someone was indeed following him.

Hou Zicheng started to worry.

He began to worry if the call from the kindergarten would be traced.

Hei Mei’s guts are really growing. The National Security Bureau might not be wiretapping, but they could easily check phone calls at the post office! Who called from where and when is crystal clear.

That risk of exposure is even greater.

But since Hei Mei had requested help, he felt he couldn’t refuse.

After much contemplation, Hou Zicheng wrote down what he wanted to say on a piece of paper, then took it with him to a café.

While ordering coffee at the bar, he slipped the note between the bills and handed it to the barista. Then this barista helped Yuan Yunong get in touch.

.........

A week later.

There was an off-campus activity class at the kindergarten.

Yuan Yunong suggested taking the kids to the park to play, taking advantage of the good weather where the temperature wasn’t too high, letting the kids joyfully get close to nature. And they could also have a picnic.

The teachers of each class were very satisfied with this suggestion. So, before school ended, the teachers told the kids about this plan and reminded them to ask their parents to prepare lunches.

This picnic event would take place the next day.

After school, An Hao personally came to pick up the kids.

The two little ones each held one of An Hao’s hands, chirping like little birds about school stuff as they walked beside An Hao.

”Mom, we have an outdoor nature activity tomorrow! The teacher said we can have a picnic. Let Mom prepare the food! We’ll have a delicious meal at the park at noon tomorrow.” Ning Chenguang was excited about this event.

Mom and Dad are usually busy.

Uncle An Ping is busy chasing his future aunt, so there’s no one to take them to the park.

This military compound is their entire playground.

Although this compound isn’t small, boys have a strong desire to explore, wanting to see a wider world beyond this yard.

”Sure, of course! What delicious food do you want to eat? Mom will make it for you!” An Hao readily agreed and gently asked the two little ones what they had in mind.

”I want to eat Mom’s dumplings! And fruit! And luncheon meat! Oh, Mom, you should also make your special plum juice.” Ning Chenyang listed a bunch of requests.

”Okay, I’ll do everything you ask,” An Hao agreed with a smile.

But inwardly, she had some thoughts. Why take the kids to engage with nature in such hot weather?

In the evening, Qin Jian returned home, saw his wife steaming dumplings in the heat, and quickly took off his military uniform to head to the kitchen: ”An Hao, aren’t you afraid of getting heatstroke? In this hot weather, you could just make some cold noodles or something.”

”The two kids said the school organized a trip to the park to get close to nature tomorrow! They said they would have a picnic there at noon. So, they asked me to prepare dumplings,” An Hao said, wiping the sweat off her forehead.
