Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 2210: Chapter 2205: Unexpected

”What if we guess wrong?” The kids were very smart, glancing at the White Rabbit milk candies and couldn’t help but lick their lips. Usually, their parents didn’t allow them to eat candies, so it was a rare chance, and missing out would be such a pity.

”You all look so well-behaved! Even if you guess wrong, you’ll still get some! But you all need to stay quiet, okay?” The man said as he began handing out candy.

To be safe, let’s stuff their mouths with candy and keep them quiet.

The kids got their candies and quieted down as expected. They stared with watery eyes at the two brothers twisting the Rubik’s Cubes noisily in their hands.

This pair of twins always managed to bring unexpected surprises.

Yuan Yunong estimated that if these two kids could complete two sides in ten minutes, it would be a miracle. To her surprise, they both finished within ten minutes.

The result this time instantly shattered Yuan Yunong’s previous thought that Ning Chenguang was the smarter one.

It turns out she was wrong.

Both kids are very smart; they just like different fields, and their cleverness shows in different ways.

Ning Chenguang displayed it due to an accidental opportunity, whereas Ning Chenyang never had the right chance to showcase it.

She really didn’t expect that the Rubik’s Cube would be challenging for adults to solve all six sides in ten minutes, let alone for the two young children.

This time, Chenyang was a bit faster, while Chenguang was relatively slower.

”Kids! You are all amazing! Did your parents buy you Rubik’s Cubes? Have you played with them before?” The man bent down, smiling as he looked at the two children and asked.

”No.”

”Is this called a Rubik’s Cube? Our mom let us play with the Nine Linked Rings!”

”Can you solve the Nine Linked Rings?” The man asked.

”Yes. It’s as fun as the Rubik’s Cube!” The two children replied in unison.

”Then you’re really impressive!” The man once again gave a thumbs-up, generously praising the children.

Indeed, quite impressive.

Even an average child who has practiced would not typically complete all six sides in ten minutes, especially not five-year-olds.

”You’re amazing!” Yuan Yunong was greatly excited and felt incredibly proud about her discovery, ”Really impressive! Can you tell the teacher how you did it?”

Ning Chenyang furrowed his little eyebrows, his expression super cool as he said, ”Remember the original positions of the color blocks in your mind, then think about what the cube looks like after it’s turned, and you can solve it!”

”What’s that? My brother is truly amazing! When I went with my grandpa to the troops, those warriors had to practice assembling guns many times! My brother watched it once and could assemble them! He’s really quick!” Ning Chenguang proudly said.

”What about you? Can you do it?” The man asked.

”I’m not really interested in that! I don’t even want to look! I like watching mom dissect corpses! Really, her scalpel is amazing. After she cuts open the skin here, this is the stomach, and here’s the...” Ning Chenguang proudly started saying, and the timid kids let out a sound.

Yuan Yunong saw the expression in Ning Chenguang’s eyes become very soft.

Looking at Ning Chenguang, he really resembled Hua Jin when he was a child. He was a young genius too, with a great love for medicine, enjoying using a scalpel to dissect corpses.

If he hadn’t been sold to the organization, perhaps Hua Jin could really be standing on the operating table as a doctor now.
