Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 2235: Chapter 2229: Abducted Amid the Chaos

The hospital appeared right before their eyes, and as they reached the entrance of the hospital, the doctors and nurses were already there waiting.

They had received a call in advance and were aware of what had happened at the kindergarten.

Therefore, the doctors and nurses in the emergency department were all standing by.

As soon as the two large trucks from the military stopped at the entrance, the head of the emergency department quickly called out to the doctors and nurses, ”Everyone, move fast! Quickly send them to the emergency room to check on the children’s condition! Time is life!”

The comrades from the guard company also jumped off the trucks one after another, starting to carry the children into the hospital.

Because there were so many children and limited emergency beds, they could only rely on carrying them in one trip at a time.

Seeing the children being carried away one by one, Yuan Yunong felt a bit anxious.

If their contact didn’t show up soon, the children would all be taken into the hospital.

If they wanted to get the children out again, it would be even more troublesome.

As she was worrying, she heard someone shout, ”Everyone help out! It looks like something happened, we can’t just watch the PLA and doctors be so busy, can we? Everyone lend a hand! Let’s get these children the help they need!”

This shout drew the crowd from the street to come and assist.

At that moment, a man came over to Yuan Yunong’s side and said, ”Give me a child!”

Yuan Yunong saw it was the coffee vendor and her eyes lit up. She quickly handed over one of the children she was holding, ”Here you go! Be careful!”

The man nodded and gave her a reassuring look.

Then, holding the child, he swiftly jumped off the truck. Somebody was ready to assist under the truck, when suddenly a few people rushed out from nowhere, scattering the team transporting the children.

Someone might have cursed angrily, ”Can’t you see we’re busy saving children here?”

The other group was equally defiant, ”You’ve blocked half the road, can’t we pass through here?”

As soon as the two groups faced each other, the atmosphere was charged with tension, and those who scattered the team were quite aggressive, rolling up their sleeves like they were ready to fight.

The coffee vendor took advantage of the chaos to slip the child into a nearby car.

Then he swiftly returned to pick up another child that Yuan Yunong handed over.

At this point, a doctor noticed them and waved, ”Hurry up!! Hurry! You are going in the wrong direction!”

Yuan Yunong shouted, ”It’s too crowded here, it’s completely blocked, we’ll go around the other way!”

”No, no! Don’t lose the children!” The head of the emergency department quickly yelled.

These days, there are cases of child stealing, though not from their hospital yet.

But one must be cautious.

”It’s fine! I’m a teacher from the kindergarten!” Yuan Yunong shouted, ”Ask them if you don’t believe me! Teacher Wang, vouch for me!”

Teacher Wang turned around and saw it was indeed Yuan Yunong, and quickly nodded, ”Don’t worry, she is indeed a teacher from our kindergarten!”

The doctors stopped pursuing the matter, while the warriors from the guard company were busy pulling the two groups apart.

Yuan Yunong took advantage of the chaos to get the child into the car.

The coffee vendor started the engine, stepped on the gas, and sped out of the hospital.

And so, the two children were taken away while they were sound asleep.

”Where to next?” Yuan Yunong asked.

”Once we leave Nancheng, we head to Linjiang City, I’ll get you to the seaport, from there you can sneak out of the country!”
