Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Capítulo 1995: Chapter 1988: I Was Wronged

An Ping and Erzhuzi enlisted the help of several friendly villagers, treated them to a pot of wine, then bought some fireworks, a coffin, and paper money, and buried An Baoguo by the family ancestral grave.

Afterwards, An Ping felt that he should inform An Hui and Jiang Guixiang of the news.

Thus, he applied for a prison visit.

When visiting An Hui, he was in a state of inexplicable anger and excitement.

Upon seeing An Ping, his emotions were resistant, and he didn’t even want to see him.

However, in the end, he showed up.

Because he was concerned about his father with cancer, unsure if he was still alive after not seeing him for days.

The two chatted across an iron fence.

“An Hui, I came to see you,” An Ping said, looking at An Hui in prison garb, his head shaved.

“Just say what you need to say,” An Hui replied coldly.

“Second Uncle… is dead!”

When An Ping slowly spoke these words, An Hui’s eyes widened instantly. He stood up excitedly but was forcefully pushed back into his chair by the prison guards.

“When?”

“The day before yesterday. I buried him! Buried him by the ancestral grave!”

“Why didn’t you tell me sooner! Why are you only telling me now? I want to go out, I want to see my dad, I want to burn paper and pay my respects!” An Hui became frantic.

“You can’t go out! You’re still serving your sentence!” the prison guards said.

“I’m innocent! I didn’t leak that military secret! I’ve been wronged! I’m wronged! I really didn’t leak the secret!”

Indeed, he was falsely accused; he hadn’t leaked any information.

No one knew who framed him!

And because he didn’t go through with the transaction, he was only sentenced to a few years.

Otherwise, he truly wouldn’t have gotten out.

The prison guards tried to restrain the agitated An Hui, but he violently attacked them!

Afterwards, his sentence was extended by five years for disobeying management and intentionally injuring others.

However, he remained unyielding; he knew exactly who had done it, who had harmed him!

Two days later, An Ping went to see Jiang Guixiang.

He informed Jiang Guixiang about An Baoguo’s death and how the funeral was handled.

The light gradually faded from Jiang Guixiang’s eyes, and just as An Ping thought she was going to erupt, Jiang Guixiang stood up calmly and left.

In the middle of the night, she secretly got up and shattered her fellow inmate’s glasses.

Using a shard of the glass, she sliced her wrist, lay back down, and stared wide-eyed into the pitch-black night, letting the blood flow until her life was drained.

Jiang Guixiang died!

……………………

Spring passed into summer.

The magnificent summer flowers departed, ushering in the cool, golden autumn.

It had been eight whole months since An Hao had fallen into a coma, totaling two hundred and forty-five days!

Throughout these two hundred and forty-five days and nights, Qin Jian had not missed a single day of taking care of An Hao.

Not only did he come, he often brought Ning Chenyang and Ning Chenguang to visit her too.

He didn’t want the children to forget their mother’s face or An Hao’s existence during this period of losing their mother.

On countless nights, he dreamed An Hao would wake up, only to face a cold and harsh reality with open eyes.

After wiping away the remaining tears at the corners of his eyes, he remained the strong man during the day, the high-spirited Captain Qin, and at night he was the loyal husband watching over his wife’s side.

He hoped for his wife to wake up, to wake up… Finally, on this day, his wish came true.

It was the weekend.

The weather was clear, the sunshine bright, and the golden leaves gently swayed in the wind.
